@@stevefuzz8464 I watch her all the time .

@@barbiesaiz2834 it's such a sweet town and growing fast
Many days wasted trying to decide on an affordable and wise choice to relocate to, but ...NC/SC near Charlotte
@pd9605 there are some great options in the Charlotte region. It just depends on price range
Another great Vid with lots of info and history about the Lakes. The Nuclear plants are Catawaba Nuclear Station on Lake Wylie and McGuire Nuclear Station on Lake Norman. One of the other big considerations for where to buy if you plan to buy a boat, is the SIZE of that boat. The draft or the depth of that boat below the surface of the water. Lake Norman being considerably deeper will allow much large boats than Lake Wylie. The town underneath Lake Norman was called Mill Village.
@JayJoJonny love the additional info! And you are right. Part of why it's almost impossible to sail lake Wylie is because it's too shallow for a sailboat. Most popular boats on both lakes are pontoon and wake boarding boats
Great video and informative. But Lake Norman is NOT the largest man made lake on the east coast. Just in the southeast close to Norman, Lake Hartwell and Lake Lanier are both man made and larger than Norman.
You are correct on that I did miss-speak, the south east :) Ty for the correction :)
Is there any place in the North Carolina area there near Charlotte that is affordable for a single person who's selling a house for $300,000 in Arizona and won't have all that much more beyond that? I can't believe that North Carolina houses are double the prices here in Arizona. We have more Sunshine. The only reason I want to move East is to be closer to family but it looks impossible from this video. Thank you
This is a great question. There are several areas where the prices are a bit lower. While you all do have a bit more sunshine, NC offers the ability to be outside all year round (yes even in winter and summer). While we don't get as many sunny days as you, we get pretty close ;) I would recommend looking at Mount Holly, Denver, Mooresville, Troutman, China Grove, Unionville, and even York and Clover SC. All have more competitive prices. Give me a shout if you need assistance 704-559-9169
Thank you @@livingincharlottenorthcarolina
What a brilliant and insightful video. Also, could you be any more adorable? (Rhetorical question..._)
Well thank you so much!
@@livingincharlottenorthcarolina Thank you!!
Kayla thank for the info but i think you might have misspoke. lake Norman is the largest lake in NC not the largest on the east cost
O gosh! You're right it's the second largest on the east coast. For some reason for years I had always been told it was the largest. #2 aint bad :) But certainly #1 in NC. Thank you for pointing this out!
Lake Norman is my favorite
same!
Thank you for this video! We need space.😂😂😂 We got a German shepherd and 3 cats and a toddler. 🙈
O gosh I feel you! I have 3 dogs and a toddler, they need more room than you'd think haha. I'd be happy to help you find the perfect spot. Feel free to reach out anytime 704-559-9169
Thanks!
You're very welcome!
You're more likely to come out of atrium union dead than you are alive. They are not known for doing a good job.
I'm sure it all depends on what you are there for. Based on patient surveys on a variety of aspects, they gave the hospital an 89 out of 100. But of course if you have a more serious injury, it would be best to be in one of the larger hospitals closer to Charlotte.
How about a young professional who 1)hates cold and heavy rains(get migraines) 2) no plan of having kids( so schools are not relevant) 3) dependent elderly parents( place with decent doctors) 3) loves outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, running 4) wants to be surrounded by peaceful neighbors/ low crime 5) wants to own a house no more than 350K. Can you think of neighborhoods I should start researching?
Hmm I'd focus on Charlotte, and specifically Concord, Prosperity Church, Mount Holly areas would work pretty well. and close enough to the city
Incorporating the map view is so helpful for those who like to be spatially aware! thank you!
You are so welcome. I'm the same way. I need to see it ;)
My favorite floor plan lol. That’s a beautiful home!
@DenishaGarayua I love it especially the detail
I’m already on their website eyeing the floor plans. 😂 Trying to see if we should build our next home.

@@JasonRomulusDelosReyes hi hi thanks for watching!
Love the content..thinking about moving there. I'm a realtor in Virginia. One thing I would comment is as a realtor you should never give an opinion on the real estate values in the future. You stated home values will only keep going up. Big no no. Nobody can predict what happens in the future.
@@justincollins9254 thanks for watching
Charlotte seem to have way more apartments than homes
@missjones8123 it app depends on price range but as a direct comparison there are fast more single family residence than apartments
Do you have a video about Marvin-Waxhaw area?
Actually in the process of working on these :)
Definitely not worth living or driving through here if you have expired tags, suspended licenses, warrants, and etc. Due to low calls for service, for the entire south division, you will get your tag ran by the police.
@@pos5orfeed669 they will def get you
Any information about living in Hickory NC? Will be appreciated
ooo yes I do need to do more content on Hickory ty for the comment. ON IT!
Best place to live.
It is a pretty cool spot. You really don't have to go anywhere which is nice :)
I like Ballantyne. I used to live near Blakeney and went there a lot.
O Blakeney is a great spot too!
@@livingincharlottenorthcarolina I agree.
It’s definitely worth living here here if you have a family with young children .The (public) schools are the best in the Charlotte area as far as I’m concerned. Townhomes offer a great entry-level price.
I will agree the public schools are one of the biggest benefits of living here. It is a great location. I have a friend selling her townhome there here soon.
The traffic is crazy
In some areas it can get bad for sure!
Great info on Concord. Love hearing about the infrastructure expansion and improvements.
The growth is making it necessary. Now if only they can finish the waste water treatment plant expansion so we can build more homes lol
Excellent topic. I’m sure even some of the unsafest places in Charlotte are safer than some of the moderately safe places in Los Angeles these days. Cheers. Great video.
by a landslide!
Any 55+ rental communities in Fort Mill?
Sadly no. They are all owned homes. There may be a handful that rent them out but I am pretty sure many have HOA restrictions That don't allow it :/
A wide range of choices, great information.
Thank you I'm glad you got value from it!
Why do you say it like that?
Helen of Troy had the face that launched a thousand ships. Had you been living in ancient Greece, no one would have taken note of Helen.
You have the nicest complements! When you come to town I'll buy you a beer :) thanks for watching as always!
@@livingincharlottenorthcarolina You're the best! I come to Charlotte a lot, but it's always quick stops for my kids' sports games and for Panthers' games. When I retire and return in ten years, I'll buy my house from you!
I am excited about it!
Glad you’re as excited about it as I am! Concord’s got so much happening-it’s awesome to see all the growth.

It may well be just as Fd up as where you currently live....do your homework, there are No Roads, and they are not building roads.....they are 40 years behind. Taxes.....they are a la cart, yes you get a break in property tax, but they charge you for eveything...Food cost.....it is no cheaper here....but from all the new folks that come here and complain, my first question is did you drive in drive time...answer is always no.....they complain about everything, and they most always tell you about where they come from and how things were done better there....Hey do your research....this isnt paradise, just another area with problems of its own, and they are growing daily.
Everywhere has their challenges for sure
I think North Carolina should of gotten the same attention that CA wildfires should of? I live in EASTERN CA we voted Trump!
We feel the same way. My jaw hit the floor when I heard the support Cali was going to get... meanwhile there are people (children) dying of exposure due to low temps here in the mountains bc the fed refuses to provide funds.
Smart and gorgeous!!! Giselle who?
hahaha Thank you :) (blushing)
Another great video! I'm a CLT native now retired living in fab Fort Mill and can second this great/accurate content. However, I will especially emphasize the 'downside' of the commute aspect if you're going to commute into CLT especially on I-77, it's bad and getting worse. With the popularity of all these towns and the influx of people, it has created a commuters dread. The main reason? There are only two bridges over the Catawba River which limits access. If there is an accident on I-77, the next best alternate is State Road US-21 which is single lane and through densely populated rural areas. Tega Cay, or Beautiful Peninsula offers more alternate routes into CLT. The access to the Lake is a big draw, lots of coves, not sure about canals. If you're a golfer, you will like it. Access to Tega Cay Golf Club with a top tier 18 hole semi-private course and a 9 hole course called The Cove. It has a driving range, large practice putting area and separate sand/bunker practice area. It's a hub of activity with an exceptional club house, restaurant and bar with entertainment year round,
Thank you so much for your reply to this video and local insights. It is certainly an amazing place to live but like everywhere... it has its downsides. Thank you for watching my channel.... and lets pray for some more bridges :)
Are there any gated communities in Fort Mill?
There are some but gated is VERY rare in NC and SC. but you can find them :)

Thank your for another video with great information
You are so welcome thank you for watching!
Good video! I'm a Monrovian (my parents were natives, but I grew up in Charlotte and recently moved here). The average age of homes... Keep in mind that all of the beautiful homes in the Historic District figure into that average, so there wasn't a big housing boom in the 80s (homes were built during that time, yes, but not most). Several neighborhoods dating back to the 40s through the 90s, but a ton of new neighborhoods built within the last decade. One more thing.. Muhn-ROE. But... We agree.. Great place to live!
Yes great point on the home ages. I love that it has older homes, they have a ton of charm! lol yea I know.... I still in 12 years haven't mastered the Muhn-Roe pronunciation lol
@@livingincharlottenorthcarolinaNo huge stress on the pronunciation. Just put the emphasis/stress on "Roe" and it helps a ton. And... We're in one of the completely renovated historical homes, within easy walking distance of downtown, and it's an absolute revelation... Soo many amenities that are RIGHT HERE! 😀
@@livingincharlottenorthcarolina One more thing about OUR house. In it 5 years, and the value has increased since purchase by around 50%. We had considered Plaza Midwood for various reasons but saw what was happening in the Monroe Historic District... So, we bought here, saved a ton of money, and have the type of home we'd wanted (now with botanical garden in the back yard) for great money!
@@livingincharlottenorthcarolina hahaha ok, at least you know haha. Thanks for coming out. There's a spectacular coffee shop around the corner from where you were called high octane that was an old Sinclair gas station. Probably the best coffee in the city. Owners are from Argentina and so are the beans.
I live in Raleigh i love it here ,,its more laid back n peaceful..i lived in Charlotte 14 years..its bad out there , definitely in the sugar creek area ,,the crime rate super high ,, but its some good dope out there tho ,thats the only thing i love about Charlotte. But i have to pick Raleigh tho , cause its more opportunities job wise being that the metro area so big , RDU ,, its alot goin on in that area
they are both certainly great cities. Charlotte has changed a LOT in 14 years I can tell you that. While Sugar Creek does still have higher crime rates, its starting to be pushed out with increased demand :)
@livingincharlottenorthcarolina all the good weed too ?
@@brianstample9227 im honestly not too sure
I currently live in Colorado. I enjoy outdoors and trails. Which side of Charlotte/ Fort Mill caters to this lifestyle?
Hmm if you like the outdoors and trails I'd recommend anywhere from Mount Holly up the west side of lake norman into Sherrills Ford and Troutman. Plenty of trails, biking, and hiking options. You also have the white water center in Mount HOlly with miles of trails, rock climbing, zip lines and of course white water sports (paddle board, kayak etc
As a native Texan and outdoor enthusiast, I am so over the constant character assassination (LOL). Let’s get real for a second-I’ve lived in North Carolina and pretty much all over Texas, and I know firsthand that New York State doesn’t even come close to the geographical wonders or natural beauty tht Texas boasts. So of course North Carolina, Would seem alot prettier in comparison to NY state,Cuz Surely, it’s got some hilly, lush areas, and mountains here and there, But what it doesn’t have is a Tx Hill Country, Big Bend, Satan’s Canyon, Pedernales Falls, Palo Duro (aka the Grand Canyon of Texas), Vanderpool, Willow City Loop, Enchanted Rock, Jacob’s Well, Garner State Park, Hamilton Pool Preserve, or Lost Maples State Natural Area. Oh, and let’s not forget-North Carolina doesn’t have any natural blue lagoons. Whereas Texas? Is full of them. Not to mention our gorgeous pristine, spring-fed rivers, lakes, and watering holes like the Devil’s River, Frio River, Barton Springs, Canyon Lake, Comal River, and Balmorhea State Park. And then, the BBQ debate. Sure, I get it-BBQ is basically North Carolina’s claim to fame, since… you all aren’t really known for anything else,But let’s be real: Texas doesn’t just have BBQ and Tex-Mex. No, we’ve got a global culinary scene, starting with Vietnamese, Vietnamese-Cajun, Caribbean, Jamaican, African, Ethiopian, Honduran, Salvadoran, Cuban, Samoan, Venezuelan, Argentinian, Persian, Irish, British… The list goes on and on. Texas is the second most diverse state in the country, second only to California, and Houston? It’s the most diverse city in the entire country. So yeah, North Carolina might be charming in its own way, but it’s got nothing on Texas in pretty much every category. But Keep trying though!!!
I love your comment and LOVE that you love Texas. I am a fan of Texas, it is my #3 of my favorite states :) I would say NC has ALL of these things with just a few tweaks. But if you've never experienced the Smokey Mountains, you HAVE to. Oldest mountain range in the world and a Temperate rain forest. Thank you for watching :)
Are there any homes for rent
In South Park? There are, but they fetch a hefty price for sure.
Love lake Wylie since it’s near the lake
it's such a pretty area. So small too!
I’ve lived in San Diego for most of my life. I am planning to move to North Carolina this year and let me just say your number four I can honestly say and not everyone, but let’s say there is a good amount of people that are entitled or feeling entitled, pretentious, and somehow they feel like they live in some kind of reality TV show San Diego and California itself was good back in the 80s and 90s and early 2000 with the idiot governor now has made California unlivable I will miss the Mexican food but thank God I am leaving
Damn I love Mexican food, but I will say, you'll find some great Mexican food here (follow the local Latin folks... they know the good spots). I can agree with you on Cali.... I love how beautiful the state is but I could never live there. Let me know if you need help finding a place to call home here in NC, I'd be happy to help!
I live in Clover and the schools here are supposed to be good too
YES Clover does actually have great schools. It's a small population with MASSIVE area coverage!
Loved it!! watched ever second of it. I’m Moving in May don’t know where yet? Still looking
haha thank you for watching! May is right around the corner, feel free to give me a shout and I'll help you make a good pick ;)
Just moved here from living in Charlotte. I completely love the atmosphere and country quaint living. I The drive is the least of my concern when it comes to safety & comfort❤❤❤❤❤
I love Monroe. It's the total small town feel :) So cute!
