Hello, It's certainly an experience driving here (in the Philippines) for many reasons, and they're all not good! My filipina wife and I live in Isabela province. Before that, we lived in Manila for 4 years. For me, you put your life at risk every time you drive. Having also lived in the UK, Istanbul, Dubai and now the Philippines. Sorry to say, but the Philippines wins hands down! My reasons are below (not limited too I may add!) - Very limited education regarding driving. Local enforcers scam you. We were scammed twice in one day. The other was for almost 10K PHP! We were asked to put the money in same paper tissue! For too many motorcycles in Manila. If they scratch your car trying to get passed, they just carry on regardless. Lack of lane discipline. In the province, it's normal to have a family of 3/4 on a motorbike and no helmets! Lack of Police/LTO to patrol. Very few rear lights on motorbikes. This is seriously dangerous. Especially when very few roads have street lighting. Poorly maintained vehicles/motorbikes. Anyone can obtain a driving licence if you pay. Little or no indicators when turning. Motorbikes and cars just pull out or immediately stop without any care of who is behind. Undertaking is normal. Foreigners get prosecuted if involved in an accident (even if it's not your fault) Little or no motorbike or motor vehicle insurance. I could go on, but you get my point. Cheers.

Dear Abram, I usually don't comment on TH-cam videos, but something about your channel struck me. I'm 32, I've been living in the Philippines since I was 24.....I also have a wife a kids and it appears we live a similar lifestyle. I just want to say that you are incredibly rare. I've observed other foreigners here, both in person and on TH-cam, and in my 8 years I could count on 1 hands people that fit into our category. You seem incredibly wholesome it's almost weird. You're good looking (I'm not gay I'm just saying), your wife is good looking, you're the same age bracket, you seem to have a genuine solidified relationship built on love and not mutual explotatian, your kids are healthy and beautiful, you live in a nice House.....you probably know how rare that is. It's a breathe of fresh air to know that theirs at least 1 other guy like me living here. . Most of these guys are crusty old boomers whose best days have come and gone who are dating very desperate girls who grew up in abject poverty . The younger guys are either 2 week here today gone tomorrow types, cringey "I tried Jolibee for the first time and this happend" vloggers, or sleazy pick up artists. Sometimes you get sick of looking at it all, the vibrations can be very negative here with all the desperation and exploitation, but I sense your different, your vibrations are high, your intentions seem pure. I wish there was more people like you here in the Philippines and we could build a community of like minded foreigners, but I know most likely we will remain isolated. Although we may be isolated, may we continue to shine like a lighthouse on a foggy night. Continue to do the right thing and set an example for others, because in these days in this country the examples are as you probably know, not very good. May god continue to bless you and your family Ps: if you wore a red striped sweatshirt you'd kinda look like where waldo -joey
