The Divine Underspin from 6th Sense Fishing is a great bait for those pre-spawn fish that are suspended or roaming around. Paired with the Divine Swimbait, it makes a great combo.

Do u do guide fishing trips?
Yes I do. Email info@brandonhunterfishing.com
Fishing is on the so/so side but boy oh boy the people on the water this time of year. Crazy
Doesn’t look like your website is functional, says it under construction
@@robertsimcox8185 we are a new company. Website is under construction yes.
I just got your business card out of my wiper blade
Heading there this weekend Oct 5th . We’ve never been on the lake . What should we expect and what stage are the fish at ?
I'll be going down to Ken lake marine the 3rd week of October.. anyone have any suggestions at that time
Brandon, just found your channel. Thanks for video! Guides that gave up on Kentucky lake are quitters!!!!! It's just like any lake, it will have highs and lows, year to year. I grew up in northern Kentucky, I would have anything to grow up around the 2 big lakes!!!!!! Thanks for video, and keep them coming.
"Most consistent bite is probably shallow....still a few places out off shore where fish can be caught....but start looking for shad around dock corners, laydowns and shallow brushpiles. Fish are starting to move shallow...they'll start getting up on those shell beds, stumps....things like that." So the shell beds and stumps he's talking about are "off shore", right? I assume he's saying fish shallow main lake ledges/bars in 8-10 with shells and stumps as opposed to shallow 8-10 feet in the back of a pocket/cove or creek?
Man I tell ya I've not seen as much bait as we have this year New Johnsonville/Birdsong area than long as I can remember been ten years or better. Got bait from bank to bank shallow out wide fish I've been catching are fatter than when full of eggs. Lots more brown fish to and in areas they haven't been. Fish could close it's eyes open it's mouth and swim 40 yards and eat no joke and IMO is another reason bite can be tough. I've lived and fish this river for 52 years and what I've found that get's me those extra bites this time of year is I'll start fishing those off the wall places sorta speak where they haven't been leaned on hardly if any. Ready for the cold weather and water. Be safe this coming winter !!
I've fished 2 tournaments out of birdsong this year and it took forever to find bait and even longer to find the bass that have found the bait
@@danielmeganhauger2414 wow that's hard to imagine and I would ask when were your tournaments but if they were from spring till now which I assume they were I'm not sure how you could miss any of the bait. I want tell anything that's not so and I fish on average 200 days a year which doesn't make me an expert by no means. But anybody yourself included being on water as much as I ought to have pretty good idea what's going on if makes sense. Like I mentioned in comment I don't think I've seen as much bait as we have this year in 10 years or better. I assure you there's bait as far back up in Birdsong Creek you can go to all way out to the river and right to Cuba Landing and left to Big Sandy is plum full of bait. Your comment is worded in such a way to me at least that you believe my comment is untrue. All I know to tell ya is I'm not going to put anything on here that's not so bud. I say all this so that if anyone reads my first comment they can rest assure we have more bait in my area of the lake that we've not had in years. Which two tournaments did ya fish if don;t mind me asking and where are you from??? I'm not trying give ya a hard time bud shit if you were to ask me anything as to the fishing and what's going on here just know you'd get an honest experienced answer. I tell ya baring anything crazy in 5 to 7 years Kentucky Lake will fish like it did in late 90's and 01 to 10 . Long ass comment but I felt as if you were making me out to be telling a story
This year was my is my first year of using a whopper plopper and I’ve been impressed
I haven’t been in the daytime in almost 2 weeks 😂😂
Thank you Brandon for helping us old folks, I really appreciate it buddy, Thank you
I live across from paris landing park, on ky lake. Im there eveyday. Never seen so many Tornaments, big/small Great job reporting Brandon
How can we go about getting you as a guide? I’ve been to ky lake 3 times in 24 and caught nothing. I need help! Lol
info@brandonhunterfishing.com
What head at you using with the whale
@@patrickthomas1157 that bait needs a 7 or 8/0 Hook. The 6th Sense one or Tru Bass makes a 3/4oz 8/0
I am so glad it’s getting better, Pickwick has gone down, thank you for the update buddy, take care
Is there a Josh Nissen guide there?
@@Smitty0319 I don’t know the name no.
Have you been South of Paris?
@@jeffraygooch5154 I haven’t been south at all. Paris is about as far south as I’ve been recently.
Great video. Useful tips.
That’s a great boat you have!
Brandon is an awesome guide. Had a great trip with him and definitely found the fish as he reviewed here. Had some nice success fishing with my Kayak. I’ll be back Brandon and we can do it again
Great information again. Good job.
Thanks for the great information, Brandon. Heading down to KY Lake/Paris Landing for next week and hope to have some luck using the tips on baits.
Got some nice Smallmouth yesterday shallow water main lake cranking yesterday 👍👍
If you ever want a fishing partner let me know. I’m new to the area and I’ve been doing some line tossing out by Big Sandy. Have had some luck but I’m looking to try other places and learn these fish. I’m from Upstate NY. It’s a little different down here when it comes to fish.
Agreed, it is back! I’ve had my best year to date over the last 5 years I’ve lived here!
Fished on KY Lake from May 5th thru 11th. Had tons of rain during the nights and the lake raised about 2 feet. Caught several bass but none bigger than 3lbs.......all from the shallows and the bank.
Brandon do u run a turret pole on your livescope and what brand do u run and why ,thinking on getting one ,just trying to get some info on them so I can choose the right one
I do not run a turret. I run on the shaft of TM. I want it as simple as I can get it and one pedal works for me most of the time
I have a tournament on KY / BARKLEY next week. Never fished either lake. I will be up next Friday to Pre -Fish. Any advice
Did you have the tournament yet?
@gentlemanbassfishing2528 yes it was miserable. 20mph winds.
@gentlemanbassfishing2528 ill have my video out next week. I got 1 more to release this week before I put it out!!
Just seen this video. Just subscribed. Living here in the Nashville area
💯💯👍👍👍👍
Great report Brandon tks
Thanks Brandon. Always rely on your fishing forecast. I guess a big white feather jig would be another weapon of Bass destruction also.
Thanks Brandon! Always love your insight on KY Lake. Such a beautiful lake hope it comes back all the way and then some especially for you locals who deserve it.
I love our “lil not so lil” lake
Thanks man appreciate your imput.
Thanks
Brandon, thanks for taking the time to do these updates and reports. I'm a fellow Kentuckian but I live 3 hours away from KY Lake and want to come see it and fish it sometime soon. The info you put out in invaluable and appreciated!
BAN F.F.S.
Thank you
Taking my wife and parents on a KY Lake fishing trip next week.....hoping to catch a few.
Just spent 4 days on the lake the swim bait and jerk bait worked well, best year so far since 2020
What colors ?? And what brand swim and jerk baits
The lake won’t keep getting better with all the tournaments, especially during the spawn. The lake is not ready for all the pressure people putting on it for a few bucks. As long as the hotels and restaurants is happy, that’s all it matters. The lake will go down hill again they will blame the carp for it 😂😂😂
Asian carp will inevitably always be an issue and their ability to reproduce up to 5 times per year vs only once per year for bass is proof that as time goes on, they'll be a tough competitor for the resources that they share with bass.
Totally agree with ya Darius
Tourneys hurt it last time bad, w the number that were held. Could see the beginning of a sharp decline before carp were as big of an issue. The flood of derby's is beginning once again. Only this time there's spotlighting, giving bass and crappie no place to hide
Excellent information, as usual. Good job.
Thanks for the tips!!
Thanks for your videos!
Great video. Thank you for this great info!

Your report is dead-on as always--best fishing report out there! I braved the heat on Big Sandy this past weekend, it was a slog BUT covered water with a 3.25" emerald shiner-looking swimbait, and then when I got a bite on a stretch of bank, slowed down and dragged a Ned rig slooooooooow. I managed a 5-fish bag that went over 15# Friday evening, and then Saturday caught my two biggest smallies ever, one over 5 and a second just a little under that.
Still getting them DEEP at G'ville! I think your on to something though talking about the lack CURRENT! love you channel Man!!
I caught over 90” today (five) in 8-10’ of water. Wolf packs hunting from a ditch line in a flat. They surfaced a few times blowing on mature shad. Cauggt them on C - Rig Baby Brush Hog, 4”X 3/8oz swimbait, MagDraft, Swing head jig, and C-rigged origional Fluke.
