In my travel guide I'll take you to one of the best beaches in Kefalonia that is Skala beach. Begining at the famous Skala steps, we then move onto the Metaxa Bar, which, if you enjoy the nightlife, then this is the place for you.
Then we step onto Skala beach and begin our leisurely walking tour 4k along this famous beach. On the way, I'll show you the best places to hire sunbeds and umbrellas including Akrogiali Restaurant Bar, Tara Beach Hotel, Makis Hotel (where I stayed), and the Ammos Beach Bar.
What I love about Kefalonia Skala beach is how it manages to stay laid-back and peaceful, even though it’s one of the Kefalonia best beaches. You get these long stretches where it’s just you, the sound of the waves, and maybe the occasional tourist awkwardly wading into the water (shoutout to the guy with the snorkel).
Beaches in Kefalonia aren’t just your average patches of sand; they’re the reason the Greek islands are so famous for their natural beauty. Skala Beach is a perfect blend of pebbles, golden sand, crystal-clear waters, and just enough people-watching to keep things interesting. Though I may have been a little too busy dodging pebbles to fully appreciate it, so if you spot something interesting I missed, let me know.
