Great video. I've never flown with a camera mounted that far back from the CG. Looked like it was flying slightly tail heavy, but you did a good job handling it. Good to see that you didn't really crash the airplane.

i like how they fast forward through the build. that is because it is nearly impossible to assemble. the fir is terrible, almost worse than the instructions, if that is possible.

This is a beautiful looking model plane. DON'T ruin it by trying to fly it! Every reputable reviewer who tried it has crashed and smashed it! Read the RC Groups forum posts on it. The flight board in it is dog crap! 😀

Thx so much! I have bn having so much trouble with craft cuts trying to use box knife and/or art knife. Blades do not stay sharp for very long. I'm definitely getting this. Cheap fix! Thx again!

How do u waterproof this planes electronics if it’s not waterproof?
There’s special stuff that you can spray on circuit boards to waterproof them. I can’t remember the name though, it could be CorrosionX. Google it and i’m sure you’ll find something.
nicely done video .....very good narrative of what you are thinking when flying and I like the mounted camera view in the corner!!!...........as a beginner who recently ordered this exact model as my 2nd plane and wanting to just slow fly it ( no aerobatics yet ) ..........can you offer any helpful radio settings , flap mix settings, build and flight tips ........thanks much.....
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it! How much experience do you have with your first plane? I would recommend you be at least comfortable taking of, flying around, and landing before moving on to the Tundra. It’s not what I would call a “training” airplane. What radio do you have? If it can do Expo, I would dial in maybe 30%. Also, maybe bring your control surface rates down to 60 or 70%. Hope I am making sense here. If you don’t understand something, let me know. Just follow to build instructions in the manual and you fine with that. For the first flight, if you have a RC Club nearby, go have someone help you out. I didn’t have that when I was learning.
@@CrazyFastFlying@ Jeremy..... I have about about a dozen full flights with an old school high wing nitro trainer ...radio is a Spectrum DX6.....I usually fly with about 25% expo......thanks for your help and input, Gary
That’s awesome! The DX6 should last you a long time, it’s a good transmitter! I just got my first nitro plane, it a piper cub. I’ll be making videos about soon!

I haven't tested that, but I know that you will lose orientation before you lose signal. Don’t ask how I know.😬

Rough short field takeoff with flaps & half throttle is a recipe for disaster. Also your CG must be out. Did you compensate for the camera? These things fly beautifully when set up correctly.
Yeah........I didn’t really know what I was doing.🤨 Yes, I did compensate for the camera......I made it a little nose heavy from the cg marks on the wings. I made sure to check cg AFTER I installed the cam. Not sure what the issue was.
Great flying there .... I think you need to use the flaps only on take off and land . If you modify the camber of the wing with flaps it will not want to turn really well . Also seems slightly tail heavy look at the cg to actually make it fly a bit more straight and erase the tendency to tip stall ( that what it did at the beginning ) . Is ti the original prop? or is it smaller?
Thanks! So, the problem was that if the flaps weren’t down, I would have to use a whole bunch of up elevator to keep it flying straight and level. Not sure what the issue is......the cg was right on the marks. It’s not the stock prop but it is the same size.....12x6
@@CrazyFastFlying The CG out of the factory sometime is not right . I remember few years ago putting 150 Grams on the nose of my brand new radian to make it flyable . Check also the angle of incidence of the horizontal stabilizer that it did not move . The decalage itself can change the flying characteristics .
A friend gave me the airplane.....maybe it was crashed and something is out of wack. I’ll play around with it.
what onboard camera do you use? i have a few mobius mini cams.... good luck flying!
Hey, I just use a cheap SQ12 type camera.....nothing special. The video quality it OK.
Does the camera come with everything needed to set it up or did you have to source everything for it?
Well, you're gonna need an SD card and a way to attach it to the airplane. I just use some velcro and maybe some painter's tape on foam planes. Other then that you’re good. The battery will last about an hour recording.....
