Many call Catholics idolatrous because of the honor we display towards statues, but a more accurate claim would be directed towards our worship of the Eucharist. Everyone shows honor to things and people other than God in their lives, such as to a family home, a respected teacher, or even to an image of a loved one. But our worship of the Eucharist, if we are wrong about Christ's true presence within, is truly idolatrous, because it would be actual worship of something besides God. We know this, and that's how certain our FAITH in this is. We trust Christ when he said "This is my body and blood", we trust when he said "Unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you", and we trust him in his Church and its teachings, which he gave to us to bring us to him until the end. As St. Thomas Aquinas said in his famous hymn Pange Lingua Gloriosi, "Ad firmandum cor sincerum sola fides sufficit", or in English "To the firm and sincere heart, faith alone will suffice." Our limited senses fail at the mystery of the Eucharist, and only faith can supplement that lack of ability to see, touch, hear, smell, or taste. That's why when the host is consecrated at Mass, it is common for Catholics to murmur the words of St. Thomas the Apostle: My Lord and my God.

I am a protestant, a baptist if you wanna get specific. Not really important in the grand scheme of things, but i just wanted to thank you for the music! I don’t really care what church you belong to, Christ is our savior either way. By His sacrifice and life we are saved, by believing He is who He said. Anyway… thank you! I love the music. God bless!

@@mayallbeone9047 Yes, it does. Faith IS belief. I know it is quoted often but John 3:16 is an example. It goes on in 18 and so on. It repeatedly states that belief is what gets you a relationship with God and salvation. Romans 10 is another example of belief being what gives us salvation. With verse 9 saying “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Once again repeating that belief is important to our salvation. I can go on, but you probably get the point i am making. Do you disagree? If so then how do you state we receive salvation, and more a relationship with our savior?
@@jameswilliams6946 no, I'm trying to point out that what you claimed about denomination not mattering is not true. What differs denominations from one another? Differences in belief. This is VERY important, and the faith is far more than just a claim that Jesus is Lord and Savior, as you claimed before. You see this throughout the New and Old Testaments, that much of what we believe is important.

This chant helped me a lot. I was going through temptation but I was able to fight it off. But the same night I saw a figure with 1 ball of light on its face at the edge of my bed. It was a tall, skinny shadow like figure and had no other features besides the ball of light on its face. I played this chant over and over with my cross in hand. Every time I blinked it would go away for a short amount of time but then return. I kept praying and I finally saw the ball of light fade. God is good
