How did you learn to speak Thai fluently?
I tell you what , train your bird to sing by singing opera to it .
Haha, yea I need to try something.. allot of these guys play videos of birds singing to their bird to train them
My wifes hometown , im from liverpool uk , my wife from Pak Phanang. I lived in Thailand for 15 yrs , spent about 5 yrs in Pak Phanang. I visit every year for 3 months , im actually going in 3 weeks. I love Pak Phanang and recognise some of the people. Very informative , take care my friend ✌️
Oh nice! Yes Pak Phanang is very nice. I didnt see any farang there. Thanks for watching!
@@DayintheLifestories in all the years ive been there ive seen about 5 farangs there, i believe most farang in Nakhon Si Thammarat are teachers. Really enjoyed watching this . Take care brother 👍
He is Tae, Sok, Mat, Khao.... all combined to be Grandmaster of Femur. The best there has ever been.
r/birdsarentreal
I kinda assumed edible bird nests were made of twigs and stuff but this makes more sense.
Haha, yea that would make sense too.. I guess the saliva has special properties. Thanks for watching.
ชอบๆ555 ถูกใจคนเลี้ยงนกเหมือนกัน
Very fun, thanks for watching
Watched a few of your videos, they're so good, keep going man
Thank you so much! Trying to grow this channel, its allot of work, but comments like yours help keep us going.
my cousin also have this it a lot money you can sell a container and make like 200k baht. The hardest part if you decide to harvest it yourself and you'll be in the in the room for hours on end in extremely hot temperature room plucking the sylvia.
Yea doesnt look like fun to harvest and clean the nests haha.. thanks for watching
it's the same with my neighboring home here that the birds themselves feel at home and sometimes the nest had grown quite large that it fell off from where it was hanging
If the birds are born and raised in these nest, how do they clean all the poop out before eating im sure there must be Alit of poop before they can fly 😮
I’m sure no bird flu or other pathogens were found during the making of this documentary.
And the local authorities just chill about it? Cool
Yea Thailand is strange with its laws, these bird houses arnt really enforced, its technically illegal which is why most people are secretive about it.
This is fascinating. I keep wondering how those buildings are holding up - aren't they rotting mold-incubators?!
They clean inside about twice a week, yea if they dont keep it clean it will rot.
You can find the building Throughout Southeast Asia. it is more profitable than building an apartment for rent
Yea once you know what they look like, you see them everywhere.. thanks for watching!
Very interesting. I like the Thai guy they interviewed. I do not see how the nesting houses hurt the birds either. Actually much better than disturbing the caves.
@@Tom-ib5tq thank you, yes that was my takeaway as well. Glad you enjoyed it.
the caves should be protected
dirty
That is gross on many levels First having all the birds and their droppings all over. Bird flu seems likely Eating a birds nest? That they and the babies poop all over is Insane!
just like drinking milk for many countries
The birds nest are made from the saliva of the bird as well.
@loreamar3 not really Milk and animal husbandry enabled survival of people and it's an evolution gene thing. Salvia birds nests for profit is not even close. Gross too Wonder why they got bird flu and god knows what else ..
6:18 I like how this guy learned English and understands it very well just shows how much he wants to make it in life. Guy from Thailand speaking English props to him
Yea absolutely.. hes a hard worker in everything he does.
nice content i never knew this😅 in the Philippines they did go on cliffs
Nice video - thank you. Asinine "special health properties mysticism" around bird nest. Asians must love other stupid shxt like Astrology too. In the U.S. we can't lay much blame. We killed every single Passenger Pigeon and caused the species to go extinct.
Yea there are allot of unfounded beliefs wrapped into the different Asian cultures. Thanks for watching, glad you liked it. Will continue putting out interesting content soon.
Why is it that asians do the most the destructive things for food that is soo disgusting
classic chinese medicine driving people to buy nonsense
bird vomit soup
I just live 1 Mtr. From a 4 floor birdhouse I have 2 floor I have make a wood balcony about 40m2 just before Covid time I just notice that I never have any no. 2 problem from the birds what a special snack 😮
Krabi
In reality , they apply love song speaker in the house... And itchy for love
Yep, noise pollution everywhere in southeast asia
It's a multi million business. Bird's nest is a delicacy amongst the Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodiands and the rest of the orientals. It's an aphrodisiac and boost their men's performance as you can understand why. It's the asian version of caviar, extremely expensive and in big demand. Most of them are smuggled to the west by asian travellers as it's health risks and confiscated and dumped.
Yea 6000$ per kg in China
@@DayintheLifestories I'd rather go on cruise than spending a fortune on bird spit..
I can imagine the stench is pretty bad but absolutely worth it as birds nest can fetch a pretty penny
Yea for these small town locals, absolutely worth it if they can harvest some nests and earn a good income. Thanks for watching!
@ thank you for sharing your experience 👍🏻
Fun Fact: Buakaw Banchamek is the 34th richest athlete in the world, with an estimated net worth of US$14.8 million or approximately 500 million baht.❤️🔥
Great !!
Asians will eat anything 😂😂
That was neat. Good work. Liked and subbed. For the record, for thirty years I've been calling these "swiftlet barns."
@@steverosse thank you!.. swiftlet barns haha.. yea that name works
🐦 🐦 🐦
The city lacks planning regulations to ensure a beautiful and healthy environment. Many buildings appear unattractive, and some emit loud, artificial bird sounds to attract birds, disturbing the peace and making it difficult for neighbours to sleep. These structures are often an eyesore in the landscape, reflecting a short-sighted approach to development driven by profit....
Yea I agree, the buildings dont look too great. The river here is quite nice, but its a poor area, locals either fish, farm, or do bird nests, so they dont care too much about the looks. Thanks for watching.
cry harder.
Every town and city in Thailand looks terrible
Guess it would make more sense to build these buildings in a seperate spot outside the city.
@@DayintheLifestories But westerners care. And feel offended
Once they raise the monthly taxes;they just evict the birds out than they will just rent out the coups as luxury apartments for humans and javk rent every 7 months up!😅
Haha
Such locations are very noisy with bird
Yea and they have speakers playing bird noises all the time haha
So interesting
Yes, thanks for watching!
One of the most dirtiest food ingredients that you can eat. It’s full of deadly bacteria from bird saliva and feces.
In my research I didnt find that, but im no expert. Yea, everyone should look into it before trying. Thanks for watching.
Maybe birds come back to the same nest to lay eggs later . Has this been studied ?
Yea, if the nest is still there and in good condition the birds would use the same nest to lay eggs again.

@@thaifob1 weird I'm not Thai and I've been aware of this village for 30 years . I remember even back in the 90s this would pop up on news reports because of the high price of birds nest back then and also theft of nests. Murders and the like
@@thaifob1 what.. like the police distributing and selling amphetamines? 🤣.. I think he'd have trouble leaving the country .

Amazing considering how many of these houses I have seen but didn't know what they were for. It is very regional though
Yea me too.. saw these houses for years and never knew. Thanks for watching!
Damn, you can see the birds comming and going @@DayintheLifestories
Epic Video!!!
This is an absolute banger, great work man! A whole industry I had no idea about.
Thank you!, yea I had visited that town many times, but only recently realized all the houses had only birds haha. Thanks for watching
You are really enjoying with those folks, aren’t you 😅❤❤❤
