      in Oct 2024 BTO, you can only apply 1. Then later in the Feb 2025 BTO, you can apply another 1.

    Best to buy based on ur budget. No point buying high floor over ur budget. Coz after buying the unit u still need to factor in the renovation cost which is not cheap nowsadays

    Hi, I still confuse on the different between 1st timer and 2nd timer. If I already get a resale hdb as 1st home. Am I consider as 2nd timer already?

      If you and/ or any core applicants or core occupiers have taken a housing subsidy, you are considered a second-timer. All second-timer core applicants and core occupiers will need to pay their respective resale levies, if applicable, when buying a flat from HDB. You're considered a first-timer applicant if you have never received any housing subsidies before.       For June 2024 BTO, the final application rate is here: services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BP13BTOENQWeb/AR_Jun2024_BTO?strSystem=BTO for singles, unfortunately the application rate is mostly > 6 except for Marsiling Peak. I think singles will have more opportunities in the upcoming Oct 2024 BTO as there will be more projects and the rules changes to allow singles buy BTOs in mature estates as well

      if the application rate is 6, meaning 6 singles are eyeing 1 flat. the reality is, the chances are low for jun. but I think your chances in Oct BTO is higher because you can apply to any projects.

      wow, that's a tough question. it's more difficult to predict because of the new classification. If I have to guess and divide the 14 Oct BTOs to 3 categories (with group 1 being the most subcribed); this is what I think: Group 1: Woodlands, AMK, Mattar and Kembangan. All next to MRTs (except AMK, but still walkable) and in mature estates. I mentioned Woodlands first because most likely it's the cheapest out of these 4 Group 2: the 2 bayshores, the other 2 kallang whampoa Group 3: the rest. The dark horses in terms of ROI percentage are actually the 2 Sengkang projects. Why? Near LRT stations, price will be low, 5 year MOP, can rent out whole unit after MOP, etc. These 2, maybe can profit around 300-400K easily? This is consistent with stackedhomes analysis where ulu-ulu area actually can have huge ROI cause of the low purchase price: stackedhomes.com/editorial/which-are-the-most-profitable-bto-flats-in-singapore-some-have-made-over-200/ This is still very early and I might change my mind though.

      that's the one at kallang right, near the water, and will be the pilot for the white flat open concept? i put it in group 2 cause the starting price might be a bit high? from the map it doesn't look like walking distance to MRT station eh, still need to take a bus? definitely $1M+ resale producer in the future though. would be interesting to see whether out of the 14 BTOs, got any option that is near MRT station (not LRT) but still got the standard 5 year MOP. If yes, than that will be the highest sought after project.

      Pasir RIS will be the best among the lot for Oct 2024 BTO. Kembangan and Bayshore not worth it. Big trap. Value buy is Sengkang and young couples looking to flip and upgrade in future should go for Woodlands and Sengkang.

    Hi, what if I gotten a queue number that is above the number of flats offered ? Can I apply for the next BTO ? And how long will I get to know if anyone in front of me gives up and my queue number is being pushed in front ? Thanks

      yes, you can still apply for the next BTO, while waiting for the recent BTO ballot results. but there's a catch. If you get are called to pick a flat but you decline, then you lose all your applications. for example: Jun: applied for Jun BTO Aug: ballot result is announced but you get a "bad" number, say 1000 units but your number 1200. HDB will put you on waiting list and let everyone else before you to pick. Oct: since there's no news, you applied for Oct BTO. Nov: HDB suddenly tells you that its your turn to pick a flat from your Jun BTO application. If there are > 10 flats and you meet the ethnic quota, but you don't pick, then your Jun AND OCT applications will considered void. And you will be put as a 2nd timer in the system for 1 year, which essentially lower your chances. that's my understanding but feel free to ask HDB for confirmation. good luck in your housing journey

      hello, no problem. here's the answer as far as i know: It depends on the number of times you had "enjoyed subsidy". If you had not applied for a BTO before, but you had taken the CPF housing grant for your current flat, you may apply for the BTO as a "second-timer". Do take note that you will first need to serve the 5-year MOP before you are eligible to apply for a BTO. You will also need to pay a resale levy (from $30-50k, depending on your flat size) in CASH, upon the sale of your current HDB flat.

      hi, for the Oct BTO, the project at geylang has community care apartments and the location is quite good (next to Mattar MRT station).
