Top RC so iconic
Looking forward to the body painting video.. I have 6 or 7 Lunch Boxes two Pumpkins and an Unimog. Will probably buy more too!
@@MrC2958 welcome onboard.
I have the first original wild Willy up in my loft, not working I think one of the steering components broke? Will have to get it down and see if I can get it working again!
@@darrenwhyman4539 you must. That will be amazing!!
Hey Jimmy, the Tamiya screws are JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) so definitely right in getting the Tamiya craft set, but you could also source JIS large and small (No.2 and No. 1) size screwdrivers. I’ve built a plethora of Tamiya’s including the wonderful Scania R620 Truck and trailer, complete with sound, lights etc… many of us on TH-cam have done between us, every Tamiya sold, along with the competition, the likes of Kyosho, Absima, Carisma Scale Adventures etc… do come and check us out too 😊😊Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎅🎄🎅oh a friend of mine is an expert on the CW-01 Chassis, you could also do with a chassis brace across the front and a lock or fifth shock mod, to stop the gearbox from sliding up and down on acceleration 😊
@@JF-RC thank you for all this fabulous info. Merry Christmas to you too and lovely to make your acquaintance.
My first Tamiya was the Striker 1/10 buggy & then I got the Kyosho Big Bear which I think was released around the same time as the Lunch Box 👍 had many more over the years which I wish I’d kept hold of 😞
@@richardbarry8399 that would be so awesome!
Hello Stranger!! So good to see you! Missed your face, Merry Christmas 🎄 to you too 🫶🏻
Mmmmm, nice brushed motor. These kits are sucky.
Awsome video, i enjoyed watching you on telly with the cars, and now your doing rc cars 👌 i love how you keep some of the bloopers in 😂 i love my lunchbox and can see me getting another one as i really want to go to town on one with as many hop ups as i can do. Look forward to the build 👍
@@lo2713 thanks appreciated.
My first taniya was a grasshoppers 2 &now got 3 pumpkin lunchbox grasshopper 🇬🇧
@@richardperry5880 awesome
I do have that tool kit and it's really good, I've been building Tamiya for close to 40 years and never heard of the Tamiya screw heads having a different head to a Phillips screw head 😃

Great 2nd video what is of the make of esc which came with it ? Just got mine ready to build will follow you along.
@@Vinyl-Sloth that is awesome. Be ready on the 30th!!!
I'm mid Blitzer Beetle build at the moment with a kyosho legend beetle to do after that but a black edition lunchbox keeps calling my name Jimmy and this ain't helping.
The colour should be ts34
@@markgreenhalgh8344 my understanding it’s TS16. We will find out. Uh oh!
Painted mine in TS47, looks more like the same colour as the rims.😊 I can also recomend 3print the front Independent suspention, and the rear chassi extender😎 You find it on Thingiverse.😊👍
The instruction manual in my kit says TS16 + the Tamiya manual online I just Googled says TS16 too.
A lot of lunch box owners choose TS34, arguing that it looks better. I did the same and didn’t regret it ! EDIT : I did a mistake, I was talking about the TS47, not the TS34.

Glad your back Jimmy 😀
Great but no mention of how much that lot cost!!!
@@mattyp80 I decided not to get hung up on price but all prices are available on line. It’s about the love for me.
Got my youngest a Luchbox for his 6th birthday day, quickly realised the best upgrade was to swap out the body mounts to aluminium ones as the kit ones are weak as he'll, looking forward to following the build.

What happened to the tractor rebuild Mr DeVille?
@@pritchsj we finished it and I still have it.
@ thanks! I’ll have to finish watching that. I thought you’d taken a break, as I didn’t see any more on my feed after the large jet engine video. Marvellous. Many thanks! 😎. Wow that was 3 years ago.
Sexy guy.
46yo at present and the last Tamiya RC car was an after school club . Am i right spotting the Lunch Box , Grasshopper , hornet and maybe even the Boomerang with the single shock . That was my best car but the Midnight Pumpkin was hours of fun on 2 wheels everywhere . Great era of RC cars with the dream machine being the Egress . I had lots of the single speed mini series as well . Memories still strong even after 12hrs waiting for 10 minutes of speed
The best times!
You always have to replace at least two liners next to each other because they use spectacle gaskets that cover two liners. Removing one only can loosen the gasket on the one next to it
Thanks to me timing
Iv enjoyed every episode on this TEF20 how come you have not done anything since as your videos are really informative and really helpful
Just a heads up, one side can just go straight on with a gasket, but the other side will need shimming when you bolt the inner bearing housing to the trumpet. This is to set the bearing free play, as without shims you will load the half shaft tips together and can crack the hardened inserts. Theres a lot of misinformation online where people say they must not touch together, these people are talking rubbish. These are supposed to have a few thou of float with everything tightened up, but under the weight of the tractor acting on the taper bearings, the half shaft hardened tips actually push into one another. Hope this helps 👍
6:55 rolling that location dowel around the block!! All i could see was it disappearing down a gallery
Witam. Z jaką siłą dokręcać w tym modelu wał (Panewki główne) korbowody i głowicę?
Just found your channel and love it I’m into a little Grey Diesel me self here in Western Australia whopee Keep up the good work + Good music
Awesome videos. Helped me no end in getting our TEF20 going. Only thing was i had to watch most of your films with the sound low due to the enuendos which were frequent in your dialogue!!
I have a barnfind Fergie the same as yours….. (on my channel). I am at the stage of the diesel injector!! My ones in better condition than yours was but diaphram is finished and a little corrosion in diaphram chamber. Can you tell me if thst chap that reconditioned yours is happy to do another!!! many thanks.
It would have been very beneficial to see how you timed the fuel injection pump to the engine , this is a critical process to ensure correct engine function
Thanks lads
Es pare x made them ?
Thanks jimmy for any information
