I think there could be tons of cool things instead of relying in the cyberpunk/post apocalyptic setting per se. I think the game can work in a place that hasn't been destroyed (yet). Like in the middle of riots. You can gradually change the setting to be more and more destroy until the place is wildly different than when you started. So the mechanics of the game can work in this: it's a free for all and everyone is fighting for scraps so the game would start with fights with regular people until, out of nowhere, there are monsters and it gets worse. I think that's a better idea than go with the cyberpunk 2077/fallout route

I keep getting annoyed that fear and hunger and conan exiles keep getting excluded from my preferences or if I include them I get a bunch of porn games. Having any nudity in game defiantly is playing hard mode in commercial success. Fear and hunger is defiantly not a porn game, extrema horror and not suitable for sensitive audiences yes, but not porn.
