Ive just bought the d10 12tb its very good with transferring large amounts of data fast

that sounds like fan vibrations, not coil whine. I had coil whine with a few boards, it's a high-pitched sound that varies greatly with what is displayed and the framerate, but it's not that low-frequency rattle which is more likely a fan that's unbalanced or dusty, or badly attached (or a part of the case badly attached that vibrates due to the fan activity).

I thought games cannot be loaded Directly from an external ssd on a ps5

One question. I have a Seagate HDD but its painfully slow so i bought the T7 SSD and i want to copy all the games from Seagate to T7. But i must first copy them from Seagate to console storage and after that plug in the T7 and then copy them again right?

So to explain to everyone. Older PS5 model's will have Coil Whine (Not much you can do about it) And sadly. Coil Whine will only get worse as newer PS5 games comes out. As GTA 5 is pushing my PS5 to it's limits.

We should make sony give us ps5 gamers a bigger storage as we are now being forced to pay for extra storage. Biggest complaint is Sony making gamers pay more as games like Call of duty Horizon forbidden west and ps4 game Red dead Redemption 2 take around 100GB each. Sony knows 825GB is too small storage and should include a 2TB hard drive. If ps6 comes with 1TB hard drive then im not buying console.

I have this drive for my PS5, and while transfer speeds and loading are solid, the drive takes a good 3-5 minutes to boot up after starting up the console. This only started happening a couple months back right after a firmware update. Anyone else notice this? I reformatted to exFat and redownloaded all of my content, but the issue persists.

So is there any hhd that could run ps5 NEXT GEN games directly without transferring them back to the console

As far as I know you can't play PS5 games from an external drive. Only ps4

Been hearing a buzzing like an insect at the bottom of my console which seems to only happen while playing something.. it's silent in the home screen, I clean pretty regularly I'm guessing I have some coil whine. It's definitely quieter though on resolution mode.

Thisbis the first time i found out about it. There is some coil whine on mine after checking on it it is hard to hear tbh. Got lucky for the first time in my life
