    Hey Tim. I was wondering if you guys ever turn into another band or maybe was anything ever spawned from FR? I grew up in Atwater and hung out with the guys from Invective Writhe and Willow Wisp. Actually had my own band until I found out that naming it Auschwitz was probably a bad idea. Actually used to use the same practice spot occasionally until it all died. Bummer, I miss thrash.

      @timemerich 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hey there! the band broke up in 92. our drummer Scotty and other guitarist Matt went on in a band called Immortality. when they disbanded Scotty went into another local band called Infestation. years later i joined Cursed for a while. when i left the band Scotty came in and played drums for them. Fatal Rage started in 86. i joined soon after and played bass. we were hardcore/punk then. after a few months our singer Ian (who originally was our drummer) brought his brother Erick in to play bass and i moved over to guitar. i remember Willow Wisp and am facebook friends with Arik and Tony.

    • @mercilessradio1770

      Honestly Fatal Rage was the top dog in the area when I was playing. I still have both of the demo tapes. Beyond that there was Willow Wisp which became Salems Lott in LA. I kept looking for everyone when I was writing for the Online Metal Magazine "Metal On Loud". I gave up on the scene because I had so many bands who had people who were useless. I still look at my Ibanez from time to time but never went back. Maybe some day. @@timemerich

    The incredible songwriting genius, Henri Mancini - a songwriter who Paul McCartney calls the best of all time - wrote all of the songs in the movie, including the hauntingly beautiful "It's Easy to Say", but when he wrote this he deliberately did everything you're not supposed to do in either the music or lyrics and I honestly think that this might be a genuine Dudley Moore (also a great musician in his own right) having a first-time reaction video to this awful song. There's a lot of that in "10". The bar scene where he plays a breathtaking piano solo of It's Easy to Say was originally just a soundcheck but was so good that Blake Edwards put it in the movie. I think you are really seeing Dudley's actual reaction to this horrible amateur song, which Mancini skillfully crafted.

    • @MeredithMacArthur
      @MeredithMacArthur 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been obsessing about who wrote this amazing travesty of a song. Thanks. Turns out Henri Mancini AND Robert Wells, co-writer (with Mel Torme) of "The Christmas Song."

    • @smoothALOE
      @smoothALOE 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree. I think Moore’s reaction was 100% genuine. It’s so bad that it’s good, haha! I don’t think I’ve ever heard a song use the words “ding-a-ling” as a serious lyric, haha! That’s gold

    I happen to have access to the Carson archive (every single Tonight Show w/Johnny!) Interestingly, to my eye, and I might be wrong, THIS video here is on videotape. The version in the Carson archives is an 18 minute compilation of the Hair segments from that show, and it's on color kinescope. In other words, it was filmed in color from a television set. The audio on the one in the archives is inferior. They do the title song, then an interview with the creative team, then Where Do I Go- and suddenly there's a cut, and they jump to The Flesh Failures (Let The Sunshine In) only, it's skipped to the part where they run out into the audience. Very funny to see Gerome Ragni up on all fours on Johnny Carson's desk singing, with Johnny awkwardly clapping along. Thanks for posting this.

    Max Showalter is one of those actors who quietly built a memorable career on bit Movie and TV parts-using a memorable face and voice-that when combined over a thirty span added up to a unique oeuvre: Niagara, Bus Stop, Leave It To Beaver, The Twilight Zone, Elmer Gantry, Move Over Darling, Fate Is The Hunter, The Anderson Tapes, Police Story, 10, Sixteen Candles. As for the name change, it was a consequence of starting a career under the 1940s studio system, which required “cinema friendly, bankable” stage names like Casey Adams, and then switching back in the 1960s when the system collapsed, career downgraded, and the name no longer mattered.
