Sweet! As a fan of their reviews, I'm always stoked to see bands/band members comment on their videos. One of my favorite things about their reviews is that I have found quite a few new bands that I like from them. Speaking of which, I'm very happy that I was there for the live recording of this review on Twitch. I really enjoyed this song.

Stuck a comment up on the discord, but Aaron pretty much nailed this. I'm pretty sure it's the guitarist that writes all the song and they record all their songs "live" rather than section by section, which is why it sounds quite raw. The only post production is the guitarist layering a second guitar track over the song, as far as I'm aware.
They play quite a bit of reggae as well as the more aggressive "party-punk" stuff - their albums really are a vibe.
Glad you both enjoyed this. I'd have given Joel the cell for the rating, but Aaron wins it because of how well he summarised the music. Excellent stuff!

So yeah youre right this album the instrumentals were recorded live and then second guitar and vocals overdubbed. Our other albums were recorded more standard tho.
As for our song writing I (guitarist) usually come in with an idea of a song.. usually its pretty vague, like a handful of riffs and maybe a chorus idea, then we all just chew on it in the jam room until its a good song, the best songs are written in literally 30 minutes. Others (like this one, not our fave pick) take us weeks to figure out. Everyone in the band brings a different skill to the songwriting table. So yea it usually starts with me but theres no way Id finish these songs on my own!
