I love his Show Barney Miller.

I love Northern Exposure. My gal and I watch it every night and it just leaves us feeling warm and fuzzy. I'm glad you can still catch reruns.

Great show that I think was a bit over the heads of most viewers

Watched it time and time again. Great movie

With all the reboots going on, I would think this would be a prime candidate.

I’d rather find out where his cousin, CW5 William Ragsdale went. The Chief was the last person in the Army to hold that rank without being commissioned. (He refused to be a “3rd Lieutenant.”)

One of my all-time favorite tv shows. Such a great mixture of characters and personalities. They all drove each other crazy at times but were true friends that helped each other out and enjoyed their differences. This was definitely not a "stupid funny" show that is so prevalent today. A lot of philosophical/intellectual topics in every episode.

Aside from Herman's Head, the only other performance I remember him from was in Mannequin 2.

Love Ed ♥️ Darren played him perfectly. A sophisticated yet innocent character, such kind, thoughtful eyes, yet lighthearted and always positive. He really shines in the episode about the origins of Cicely. A wonderful series overall with a superb cast, one of a kind. So great to watch it again and be able to share it with the next generation.

This show sucked.

John Collum is a favorite of mine. He was excellent in Northern Exposure and, as it turns out, I had seen him live on Broadway in Shenandoah!! I remember his amazing singing from almost 50 years ago.

There was another actor who were recurring characters from "Friends" on this show. You mentioned Jane Sibbett and Jennifer Aniston. But Hank Azaria was also in "Friends". He played Phoebe's scientist boyfriend, David.

I remember Herman's Head. I liked it. I think the Disney stuff is a straight up rip off. Remember the weird post apocalypse show that followed it?

I remember this inane show. I was surprised it lasted 3 weeks, let alone 3 years!

Not only did I watch it, but I went to a taping once when stationed near LA.

Similar to Tony Banta. Not really. Interesting as they usually give a two sentence explanation when a character is written off and disappears or even killed off.

William Ragsdale also was on Ellen DeGeneres show Ellen as her only steady boyfriend before she came out🌈🌈🌈

* Linville replaced Robert DuVall as Frank Burns when M*A*S*H became a TV series. Perhaps Linville could've been Tom Hagen in Godfather III

I remember Yeardley Smith (and the late, great Jason Bernard) being a part of the cast of Herman’s Head, but totally forgot about Hank Azaria.

Both Hagan and Hudson-Campbell made appearances on "Seinfeld".

I remember Herman's Head. I'm pretty sure it had a Sunday night time slot. Sunday was the best night for FOX! In Living Color, America's Most Wanted, Married With Children and various other shows followed those three on Sunday. One of them was Herman's Head. OMG that's 30+ years. Geewiz!

I remember watching this show, and while it wasn't the greatest sitcom on television it was far better than anyone anticipated it would be, including myself. Even though FOX was a fledgling broadcast TV network that took more risks in its programming at that time, it still seemed like thry treated the show as an afterthought, but it had good writing and the characters were well fleshed out, even those outside of his head. I think FOX should have been more patient with the show, but once they got the rights to NFL football they began overhauling their prime time lineup.

The last time I saw William Ragsdale was an episode of Criminal Minds from, what? 2011 or 2012? Where he played a dirty prison guard.

I watch Andy every night on Pluto B4 bed. I'm certain I could recite every line to each episode. I grew up watching Andy. Still eventhough I might see an episode 2x in the same week their lines I still lol to!!! Absolutely an American classic!!!!

I really liked Herman's Head, but apparently, I was alone. Once, during a college Psychology class, our teacher was talking about all those little 'voices' and impulses in our head. I brought up Herman's Head and how it was a perfect example of that, but of course nobody had heard of it.

I wanted to like this show, and I did early on - but it became in my mind another 'Dear John' - even down to having a stellar cast that did their level best. At times, it seems Herman was screwed over by everyone - his supposed best friend, his boss, his girlfriend who then became his ex - and this drilled down so far, he seemed to become a doormat, just like John on Dear John. I won't deny the talent involved or that some episodes hit it out, but writers on these shows tend to keep drilling down on the bad fortune for easy humor. Once they start tapping that vein, every main character suddenly becomes Al Bundy.

I loved watching this on TV. I loved seeing Yeardley and knowing she was the voice of Lisa Simpson. Yeardley is a very talented comedian and should have done more TV and movies. All the actors were good, especially Jane.. Thanks for this tidbit and reminding me of this show.

Fact is, that once David Chase took over the show in the 5th season, his direction and vision for the show was already beginning to fray the world of Cicely. Rob felt that and didn't like what he saw in his crystal ball. David Chase ruined the show because he never got the vibe or the quirkiness. He drained it of the humor and tried to inject too much drama. He turned Maggie into a completely different character, removing all her rough edges and cantankerousness that made her charming (and her own worst enemy). Chase had something to prove but it wouldn't be till the Sopranos where his sensibilities would find their match with content. Northern Exposure wasn't it, and it suffered for his vanities.

I was more of a Parker Lewis Can't Lose guy.

I remember this show. I really liked it. It came on the first year after I graduated college and I identified with the setup. Young people in an office environment. I really would like to see it again.

He definitly adds a lot to what ever he is in.

I remember Herman's Head, and always thought the show's title was something of a double entendre.

I do remember that program. I watched every week. And I remember thinking how Inside Out looked very similar when it first came out.

He was such a likeable actor. I remember back in the day saying I wished he could've been cast as Peter Parker/Spider-Man when they were talking about making that movie in the early 90s.
