Congrats 🎉for such a wonderful video. It inspired me to work on my notes using excalidraw. Have you ever used Canva design to do the same? I tried using it in the past but it used too take too long to create something hence I left it.

@Paul Dickson - you didn’t even explain wtf is going on with your template for the “Rating:” and “Priority” properties… WTF is “<% await tp.system.suggestion(..etc.” ?? SOUNDS LIKE IT FORCE suggests options to select from? Is this true? Why didn’t you cover this…

I hope someone make a program that can address the cons of this two apps.. more like of all in one.

Hey guys, I'm noticing a few playback issues with Media Extended v3.2.6 on Obsidian v1.7.7 when you're not signed in. 1. Navigate to Community Plugins > Media Extended > Open Browser > Choose TH-cam and Signin 2. Once you have your Media Extended Windows Pinned, Click three dots and select "Always open www.youtube.com as " 3. Refresh the page and your Playback issues should be fixed. If you're still having issue please raise a ticket with the developer at github.com/PKM-er/media-extended/issues The plugin does appear to be working but playback is intermittant and can get stuck on buffering when not signed in Let me know if you experiencing the same issue and whether you have found another work around?

Having gone through only some of the videos, I already realize this is the best Obsidian tutorial out there. And I have watched some of the most popular ones. Paul, your channel will definitely grow over time.

Hi Paul, your video is great ! and allows to figure out all the potential of Modal form using Quick Add and Templater. I've got one question, at 30:31 you've selected "Arnold Schwarzenegger" in a list, once you've submitted the form, does it appear as text in the frontmatter properties or as an [[obsidian link]] ? (Can't see that because you are using a custom theme). If it appears as text, do you know how to make it as an [[obsidian link]] ?

Hi Paul, very informative. But sometimes I couldn't follow. You jump very fast from here to there. One sees the document, suddenly there is a modal dialogue visible and I don't know how you came to that point. Sometimes you fill something out but one cannot see the result because there is already the next cut. Do you have to go through it all with such a high pace? Nevertheless, a very informative video, keep up the good work.

What a wonderful and comprehensive guide! Better than I could have ever done, thank you! I see you read the docs completely! I am amazed. I have to admit that at some points I was thinking: He is surely missing that you can trigger forms from captures But then you mention it, you were just going step by step exploring all the options, I take my hat off 🎩 I love to see how people is using the plugin and how they perceive the features. Also, that gives me a hint of where things can be improved or be made simpler. Also, it bring me to tears when I see you using both the simple templates and the templater editor. I thought nobody was using those, I'm so happy 😭 !

Hi. Could you share the dataview script for filtering your templates by "Daily" as you show in the video please. I have created a text box using Meta Bind and the output populates a metadata field but cant get dataview to filer a table based on this text. Assume you use dataview to search in the file.name the text "Daily".

We need a dataview UI. this is just ridiculous. no wonder like 95% of the people who find obsidian skip it. Surely we could build queries with a few dropdowns and some buttons...

QuickAdd is a killer feature for me personally. I like to search notes with ctrl/command + O and if there is no one - to create it. But the only problem is that I just can't create note with chosen name directly into some directory I want. So if I type PROBLEM-134 and there is no such file in directory MY_PROBLEMS it will be created under "default new notes directory" Maybe there is more simple solution, but I didn't find it yet... upd: oh, actually, I've just found it. It's to use tabs when typing directory name, like MY_PRO - hit_enter - give name - if there is no one - hit_enter_again - note is created.

Hi Paul, just discovered your channel. Some of the best I've found on Obsidian yet. Question: At 13:50 into the video you worked some magic to get a popup window. How did you get to that window? I was following right along until this window popped up. Lol. EDIT: Haha! I figured it out. Full stop is the period. Didn't know about this Windows key command. I learned something new. Thank you for the great videos!

how do u query for a gallery view? intend to showcase all my gifs or images for my design resources, similar to that of gallery view in notion

I just have a home note with a dataview query but its just for project specific tasks. If you have any kind of fzf (see omnisearch plugin) it kind of makes it redundant to use dataview as a query engine (at least for me). It is very powerful tho

Thanks for the video. I set the template folder location in Templater. But In Template Hotkeys, Snippet folder files are not showing (only files under templates folder). Where to specify the code Snippets to use with slash command?

I really appreciate the effort you put into creating your content and just wanted to share a suggestion, not to point out mistakes. Mind maps, as popularized by Tony Buzan, are designed to be very visual and thought-provoking by focusing on single words or very short phrases. Using longer sentences can sometimes make the map feel cluttered and take away from its core purpose. You might consider using 2-3 word phrases at most to keep the focus sharp and visually engaging. Of course, it’s just a suggestion, and I respect your creative process! In my opinion this is not a mind map but rather a congregation of information.
