I just have a home note with a dataview query but its just for project specific tasks. If you have any kind of fzf (see omnisearch plugin) it kind of makes it redundant to use dataview as a query engine (at least for me). It is very powerful tho
@@PaulDickson7 Nice, im a swe student, amateur dev, studying some (linux) sysadmin too! Love it. Would love to get a career doing either (swe or sysadmin)
If you enjoy solving problems and learning then it's a good career to pursue. The only thing I struggle with is it's a lot of time at a desk staring at screens. I feel these days though it's hard to escape that.
We need a dataview UI. this is just ridiculous. no wonder like 95% of the people who find obsidian skip it. Surely we could build queries with a few dropdowns and some buttons...
you broke it down perfectly! Thanks!
great guide Paul, thanks! :-)

The omnisearch plugin looks pretty cool, thank you for sharing :)
Hi greate video! What is the drawing tool you are using? Is it in obsidian?
Thank you. Excalidraw is my primary tool.
how do u query for a gallery view? intend to showcase all my gifs or images for my design resources, similar to that of gallery view in notion
Hi Ryeones, you could create a Property for them and call them with Dataview. I use Property = "![[MyImage.png|150x150]]"
I like the topics of study you got there, kind of similar to mine.. Are you a systems engineer?
Nice one Sub. Sysadmin is my day job ;)

Anyone using dataview's planned successor datacore yet?
I don't think it's in public release yet. but if you hear anything let me know ;)
