I've done thousands of chivkens this way ,water temp has to be 142 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit ,submerge chickens for 1 to 2 minutes when back feathers and tail feathers come out easily its ready to take out and place in plucker ,plucker works best with water spraying on chicken ,99% of feathers come off and the skin comes off the feet and chicken is nice and clean when done
