The natural dying process #hospice #death #dying
The natural dying process
There are two universal absolutes in life. If we are born, then we will die. Both the birthing process and the dying process are intrinsic, innate, physiological processes that our bodies know exactly how to do - whether we interfere or not. Our bodies naturally go through the changes and transitions that are required of them to birth into this world and die to leave this world.

I'm now 38 years old and I'm already suffering from CHF. My heart got slightly big because of Cardiac Effusion. The walls of my heart were filled with water. My legs got swollen. I have whooping cough. I cant sleep. I can't eat. I always look at my only son who's 1 year old now. And pray to God deeply and profoundly asking Him for His Mercy.

My husband has developed this just in the last day. He's been in home hospice for about a month after a four year battle with cancer. One of the hospice nurses explained this to me last week after I noticed he was examining the feet and knees. God Bless the nurses that prepared me. It's been a sad road but we've never been closer in all the years of marriage.💕

There's something unnerving about seeing a smiling face, so chipper, when addressing end of life . I'm a nurse and I understand how serious a subject this is. Smiling does not indicate this seriousness. I know doctors and nurses become immune to the sadness and even joke amongst themselves when speaking of these issues at the hospital/hospice cares. Making light of issues losing your life is not comforting or inviting to even listen to this information.

My husband passed in February, 2 years ago. We had gone to ER twice when he had chest pain & shortness of breath. He WAS a very positive, busy man. Last ER visit was November they did the "test" to see if he had had a heart attack. He was cleared but never felt well after that. He got more & more short of breath, tired & feverish/sweaty. I wanted to take him to ER but (as I saw 1st hand) they would just "dismiss" him. This was extremely frustrating! Not even an over night for observation. His "stress test" in October was "fine" but he got worse in the following months. After like 5 ER & Dr visits it was very degrading NOT to be listened to or taken seriously. 😕 I feel he was ignored and feel so sorry for ANYONE experiencing the same issues.

My Mother has all 13 symptoms and yesterday we called hospice. It has been very hard especially on my Sister. We both moved home to take care of her. Mom turned 90 last week and had a lovely day. I believe she is ready to go but for us, are you ever ready to say goodbye to your Mom. I know hospice was the right decision and it was only because a doctor in the ER suggested it to us. We are very grateful for his help and suggestion. I wish her primary doctor had recommended hospice several months ago it would have made things and decisions so much easier. I really believe Doctors, patients and families need to be better informed on the hospice option.

I was diagnosed with end stage heart failure at 44yrs. Had pacemaker defibrillator installed with EF factor of only 15 percent. In 2014 the Dr's wanted to install a VAD. This is an external heart pump. I refused! Now at 61 I'm still doing well! I go canoe camping and alot of portageing! I enjoy life and hope this brings a little encouragement to others out there! I believe that my Lord Jesus is the one who keeps me here to be the caregiver for my wife who had a hemorrhagic stroke!

Thanks for the information. My ex-husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's dementia 1 year ago. In September 2023 he was placed into hospice care. He is at a memory care facility and still in hospice care. He lost the ability to speak/communicate / talk in late August 2023. He was unable to do things for himself. He was falling down a lot and cracked his head open 4 times. He became aggressive, volatile, belligerent etc.
