Block the air or stall it . I had to stall mine 3 times once . But now my bloody turbos gone again
Hi thanks for watching my video .. These turbos are not the easiest to do 👍
Not too bad a video mate but you missed out how you undone the throttle cable. Just sayin'.
Thank you for watching my channel Steve
Cheers for the video mate it helped me out loads but I’m just wondering how did you take the Allen key bolts out of the cover ?
Please my barber chair stuck up and can’t get him down anymore, do you know how can I fix it?
Great video thanks a lot
Hi Borissaull thanks for watching my video it’s greatly appreciated 👍

Hi rich I am going to give it a go,we bought our daughter a second hand car and the rear wheel bearing is shot so went to remove the wheel But previous owner over tightened it and broke locking wheel nut key let’s see if it works thanks
Hi Daniel just take your time and them spinning wheel nuts will come of Please let me know how you get on i’m sure your be ok 👍 all the best Richard
Anyone know what to use for the air box inlet hoses? 13881-44100, for example, are no longer available.
Thanks mate this is exactly what I needed. Next project is going to be wiring up the lights to the battery so I can use LEDs without them blowing
I love this guy!😘
Thanks Kimberley I appreciate your kind comment ❤
Hi Richard at 6:28 of the video I thought you only wanted to talk without showing us anything. Luckily you did then. Btw congrats and thanks for sharing.
Hi mauriziogrand Thank you for commenting on my channel and watching my video Richard 👍
Great video. Will need to have a look on my wifes 125 whats going on with her front break and just checking because never done bikes only cars so far. To be fair im using sliding pin grease. Copper grease only on pads and fixings because its not designed for lubrication but for anti seize purpouse . Also @15:37 break fluid dripping on a fender. Apart from that the video is very much of a help. Thank you for your time Sir :)
Hi Egon Thank you for your comments on my video good luck with your wife’s bike 👍
Excellent following your testing procedure sorted mine out thank you!
Hi Paul Thank you for watching my video I’m pleased I was able to help you Richard
I need to replace a oil pump on my 1.3 combo when I slacken the crank bolt will it affect the timing
Bought a Astra earlier no engine management light came up the hill not steep thinking i was in 2nd but was 4th put foot down on clutch and no revs passed 1000 rpm, turned engine off and back on and now engine management lights on, any advice please as i already had a nightmare with previous car [84000 miles timing belt/water pump not done yet] on next thing to do, i did get told that the thermo censor was changed in january and there was an after market air filter installed but never had the issue with previous owner 😊
Yeah, it cost me 72 pound last week for the key from audi and then find out they been put on air tight spent two days trying get off and 4 people 😂
Well done Shawn 😂
You're a star! First youtube I came across that mention the shroud. Saved me going to the garage. Only thing to add was to wiggle the socket and get it off the nut as you undo it as one was hard to remove after. Thanks again. Have subscribed.
Hi Roger Thank you for your kind comment And subscribing to my channel Richard
Im currently stuck on this bloody bolt, So its a reverse thread, I read so tighten =loosen, think im going to need some heat too
Hi JJT1083 just take your time it will come loose with a little heat Thank you for watching my video👍
Cheers for that going to attempt without taking the oil pan off too, seen it can be done but havehad some issues getting the exhaust out of the way,@@richardshomemechanics5566
Try using a standard screw driver
I have the same issues but still won’t stay on
Perfect video thank you so much for putting it out there! Stay healthy mate🤝
Hi TeamROsky your welcome I’m pleased my video helped you 👍
Do you have an idea why my pump would be leaking at the bottom
Hi Ach tats The pump will have o rings. ( oil seals ) these perish after time and allow fluid to leak past them especially when they are under pressure when the foot peddle is pumped 👍
@@richardshomemechanics5566 thank you 🙏🏼
So where do I get the parts ?
Hi I found the parts on eBay I measured the original seals first though before ordering internal and external 👋
Do you use the irwin set with the spinning ring still on? Thanks.
Hi thank you for watching My video in answer to your question I knock the spinning rings if first and then use the Irwin sockets
Ah ok, thank you 🙏🏼
Good video. Great help.Didn’t have a small enough cold chisel, ended up using a small flathead screwdriver attachment to get in between and it pinged all 4 rings off in less than 10 mins. Where there’s a will there’s a way👍
Hi mark thank you for commenting and watching my channel 👍
I know that look at 06:00 hehe The look that says I've been here all day and it was that! 😂
😂
Where did the front mud guard go??
Be helpful to link the other parts in the description part 1 2 and 3
I just 'acquired' a Quad ATV - working my way through (compression - seems ok, spark yes) got a plug and replaced the carby with a new one (looks a little smaller than the one that was on it) can get it so start after a few pulls with aerosol starter fluid - revs up then cuts out (did the same with the old carby) I assume this is a fuel related issue, checked flow from tank to top of fuel valve - looks good, what else should I be checking for??
Hi Mjsjammiwatt1 Thank you for watching my video and the kind comments
Thanks great video
I think you should have removed the emulsion tube and cleaned it also
Very helpful advice - thank you ! ( I have the locking wheel bolt with spinning outer ring - BMW).
Hi Geraidreeves Thank you for your kind comment and for watching my video 👍
Hi Did You Do A Part 2 Video Changing The Battery On Jump Pack ??? The Reason I Arsk I Got A Problem With My One It Won't Charge No Lights Coming On So I Bought A New Battery & Fitted It But Still Not Charging Do You No If There Is An Internal Fuse That Might Have Blown ??? If So What Type Of Fuse ??? Or I Might Have A Problem With My Charger Not Working ??? If You Can Let Me No Many Thanks Jason.
Hi Jason unfortunately I’m in the process of moving house so I am unable to make any videos at this present time . But thank you for watching my video Regards Richard
I have 2005 ford fiesta 1.4l tdci and cannot find it anywhere in the car
Could you help me to diagnose if my turbo has blown plz
Hi @user-rp2gqrm1l The normal signs that your turbo is going is Lack of power when accelerating A whistling noise when you Rev the engine Blue smoke from the exhaust especially when accelerating hard The propeller in the turbo is worn and loose when you move it from side to side A common issue is the oil passing by the propeller in the turbo ( oil seals in turbo have gone ) you can easy check this by removing the pipe on the exhaust side of the turbo you will get a small amount of oil around this area but if it is vast it’s highly likely your turbo needs rebuilding. I would advise to have the original turbo rebuilt and not to get a replacement one as original is always better Regards Richard
Pls assist, me missus fiesta 1.6 duratec starts & drives well...everyone in while it will crank & not start? 🤔 Sometimes cuts on road(when on incline) then crank and refuse to start What could be the problem? 🤔
exactly same problem for me also sir..please guide me
Hi mate thanks for the video. Mine is not firing after it ran out of fuel while running. Do I need to get any air out like diesel cars? I can see the ignite on the spark plug. It's full with standard diesel. It also spits diesel instead of firing 🔥 Showing error 3
What size engine? What year? Are they different?
Hi Ian my Fiat doblo was a 1.9 diesel Thanks Richard
No undertray? If so use copious penetrating oil as the little bolts at the front snap easily. Where's the drain plug, mine was a flat round head with a large Allen bolt and it didn't budge. Lucky me had to go to the garage!
Thx. Good stuff... keep the content coming... easy to watch good luck 👍
Hi Josh thank you for watching and commenting on my channel 👍
Thank you for teaching me this. 👍 😊
Hi WasIQ Your more than welcome well done you 👍
thank you Richard
Your welcome I’m glad my video / channel helped you 👍
So I got a 49cc q2 from a friend since he couldnt fix the spring retraction on the pull start, I fixed that and pull start feels very heavy and janky like it chews a couple of times in the time I pull the string, I removed the spark to check that and was no problem,I also tested the pull without the spark and it pulled smoothly so not a compression issue either. I hear/see the flywheel cranking when I pull so I put some wd40 in the spark socket and nothing but a little bit of smoke! It’s only like a week old aswell and friend bought it brand new. any ideas?
Hi cryptocheerrys It looks like you have started fault finding you say you have compression when you pull the engine over but without using a compression tester this can not be ruled out that the compression in the barrel is low which would affect the starting of the quad . You also say you have put WD40 in the barrel via the spark plug hole and when pulled it smoked this does look like it is firing but it would be better to pour a little fuel / 2 stroke mixture in the barrel only about a tea spoon amount otherwise you will flood the plug . I would be looking at taking the carburettor of and cleaning it thoroughly with carb cleaner or by putting it in a ultrasonic cleaner if your not confident in doing this I would buy one of eBay they are cheap . I’m guessing that the quads been sat up for a while and by doing this the carburettor will bung up with residue that is left after the fuel has evaporated and block the jets in the carburettor this is what I would suggest is the problem with the non starting hope that helps Richard
@@richardshomemechanics5566 got it started, the float pin was stuck half way out so the float was locked shut
@cryptocherrys9743 Perfect we was on the right track with the carburettor fuel was shut off via the valve well done a pat on the back to you 👍
Ty

These were and still are cracking bikes, usual Suzuki bombproof build quality. Very pokey engines for their day and respectable even by today's standards.
Hi Richard you are spot on there unfortunately I’ve now sold the bike on but I did enjoy working on it Regards Richard
Followed your advice about removing 4 of these spinning security rings... Used a sharpened thin cold chisel so easy to remove all 4 taken off within 10mins. Thank you so much for your help... Many thanks Pat 👍
Hi Pat I’m pleased I was able to help you thank you for watching my video 👍
