@@meandmyshadow6269 I don’t know how this slipped by and I didn’t see it, my apologies bud! I actually went the other day and found 3 because the water had dropped like two feet. It’s rained so much this week that it came back up and shut me back down 😔 it’ll probably be right a Labor Day before they start lowering it again. Then you can add a week or two for it to drop a little. I hope you’re doing well👍👍👍

@@meandmyshadow6269 me too. To get ready for the season I’ve been killing myself in the gym, starting my 7th week tomorrow. I go in at around daybreak fasted and do about 4 sets of squats working up heaver each set. Then I do heavy seated crunches going up in weight for probably 7 sets of 15-20 rep’s, Then I do 20 minutes on the treadmill on an incline fast paced walk. After that I go get a sausage n egg McMuffin from McDonald’s. I eat it and head back to the gym to do the weight training. Monday is back, Tuesday’s chest , Wednesday is shoulders, Thursdays arms and Fridays legs. About 6 weeks of fasted workouts eating clean is about all a body can handle. I was just eating chicken or beef along with baked beans or peas for veggies. I also only drank water for the 6 weeks. Now my body’s burning fat so I can introduce some carbs back into the mix and slow down on the fasting before the weight training. I used to be a gym rat so I know how to get rid of a stomach quickly!👍👍👍

@@jamesskorupa8694 I never have. Sure would be cool though! The river I hunt is like a big blender, it moves tons of material around daily so the context of any artifact is disrupted continuously, making it next to impossible to reunite a broken point with its other half. That being said, it isn't TOTALLY impossible. One of the local guys that's been hunting this region for some 40 or 50 years has had it happen once or twice. Cool question, thanks for asking it! I know guys that hunt fields and lakes sometimes find broken pieces at different times and match them up later

Lol, A great question actually. While I'm sure some of it is modern livestock, the majority of it is old or ancient. This river acts like a giant blender and anytime the waters come up they usually pull away top layers and uncover older things beneath and then scatters it around. It's safe to assume that much of the bone with a dark patina is fairly old. Some of it is so old that you can even feel that it's begun to calcify.

@@meandmyshadow6269 I live near mammoth Cave Kentucky and there is an abundance of creeks and rivers in this area but it is very unusual to find animal bones.

I wanted to stay during the rain but the waters were coming up fast enough that I thought I better not risk getting stranded on a bar. Also, I couldn't keep the water droplets off my glasses and I was pretty much blind, haha

Thank you, ECL! Yeah, the water came up REAL fast. Truth be told, I actually had to swim back across in the middle of that storm. The thigh deep spot I waded across when I first got there was chest deep when I was leaving. Got a little sketchy for a few minutes 😂 Duuude, after-show hunts are so much fun! Glad you got to do one. And some peanut buttuh for the cherry on top!
