The Honeymooners (2005) - Behind The Scenes
I cant believe they're doing another movie without zabka the injustice.
They paid my best friend money to shoot this movie in his apartment by the train. It was kool to see the trailers set up when they were filming dekalb between central and myrtle Ave Bushwick Brooklyn
This movie and the Outsiders are my two all time favorites. These two movies made me into a huge Ralph Macchio fan. I didn't find the Daniel character obnoxious whatsoever. I found him to be charming, funny, kind, open hearted and just plain sweet. He was confident at first, before he got the confidence kicked out of him, but not arrogant. Funny, but not mean spirited. Pat Morita was perfect for the role of Mr. Miyagi. Who wouldn't love him!? Ralph and Pat's chemistry was lightening in a bottle. My heart raced, broke and melted though out the entire move. Johnny is the quintessential abuser, "Look what you made me do. You made me hurt you." It's always the victim's fault. Brilliant script, brilliant casting, brilliant acting, brilliant film making.
Rob garrison, chad McQueen, pat morita, john avdsen, albitro referee rip
Miyagi would be ashamed of Danielson in cobra Kai today, he has become everything he hates as a teenager . Danielson is an arrogant ass on cobra Kai looking down on Johnny and others while glazing miyagi daily. Raised his kids to be hypocrites and bullies . His daughter literally left her oldest best friend for the mean girls click and constantly starts fights or drama and then plays the victim and judges her friends for being part of cobra Kai. Disrespectful to Johnny who is her sensi and an adult . While his son had his face glued to a video game for 3 -4 seasons and then bully's a new kid for being into video games. Miyagi do is the right way, miyagi do is the only way blah blah blah. In anything in life there is more than one way to accomplish something.
13:40 gives me massive Luke Skywalker/Mark Hamill vibes...never noticed that character before.
Such an underrated and overlooked artist. His performance in The Next Karate Kid floored me. It was absolutely perfect. Miyagi will be one of the greatest cinematic characters of all time. And it's all because of Pat Morita. Im also a fan of the never-aging Ralph Macchio.
I like Cobra Kai. It's great that they brought everyone back, except for Pat. I wish he could be there to see how much Johnny, Chozen, and even Mike have evolved. It's still crazy to think about Johnny, Mike, and Chozen all training at Miyagi-Do. Who would have ever thought we would see Johnny and Chozen wearing Miyagi-Do gis and representing Mr. Miyagi?
He would be turning in his grave now if he could see what they have done.
Kids told me about Cobra Kai series, i was like..i know what that is. We sat and watched KK 1-3, My daughter said "they hust dont make movies like this anymore dad" Made me think back to seeing these in the theaters. What a time to grow up! Connecting these generations of family through a few short episodes. Genius.
I started training in Martial arts at 12, combat style, full contact from day one, my instructor was a beast for discipline, exactly how the dude described Toshirô Mifune. Looks like a good movie, saw the Jackie Chan version, loved it. Time to See this one. 22:54 LMAO! Yep unique training alright, very cinematic, its called developing 'Muscle memory!"
1 thing that stuck out this whole interview from Steve Harvey was when he said " you need a suit to get a job." That rite there, is so true to life. Dress to impress.
I wish there was more of these kind of movies out there now, but there isn’t much of theses kind of movies out there anymore.
This is fantastic
"The synergy transformed into the entire team.. that's what made them great. " Herb brooks. I was in 6th grade at St Mary's in Gloucester nj when they won. We had just won the 6th grade championship and all of us were beeping the horns driving home from St. Lawrence Catholic school. We beat Mt Carmel. What a great day.
I will never call you Dad. Even if there is a fire.
That kid was the kid. 6:11 Brad kelly
Adam Scott is so not funny at all
I’m still salty that tabloids fat shamed Hilary in the 2000s.
Billy - This is kinda me. 🤣 Perfect!
Daniel was the bad guy.
🙂Hello.
I had this interview on the DVD of the movie...
Wish Myagi lived long enough to bein in Cobra Kai
The Hip Nip was the MAN! RIP Pat Morita!
As great as this movie is and as good as the overall production is, with all due respect the fake call of Al Micheals is torturously obvious and forced and does not blend well with the real call. And the fake hockey sounds are really obvious as well. They are very overdone and not at all natural. Separate from all this, the one truly sad part is Brooks dying before the movie was complete.
The Karate Kid is just a masterpiece of film. It's magic the entire way through... The chemistry between actors, especially Ralph and Pat, is second to none..... In any movie....ever.
I love this movie... I remember my childhood... VHS tape
It's been already 20 years from when this was done 😯
Morita's broken Japanese English is perfect.
Anyone else love The Karate Kid I and II but jave no interest in Cobra Kai?
Being a young kid at that particular time was so incredible. There was so much going on back then and I was a skinny little sponge soaking it all in! So much great stuff going on with so many awesome influences. But This one right here took the cake! I mean it really did take me to a place that’s hard to describe. Karate kid influenced me in such a powerful way! Certain movies make you feel a certain way like after watching saving Private Ryan, I felt very thankful for living in the greatest country but also more importantly I felt great love and respect to all the men and women who fought and died or are still alive! But karate kid was something of empowerment and reaching the pinnacle of achieving greatness through the cutting knives of fearless resolve and courage. Daniel son was who you aimed and wanted to be but Mr. Myogi was my HERO! He was the greatest and there will never be another. He stepped into that role like Val Kilmer did with becoming Jim Morrison in the Doors movie. But really this movie was incredible and will live in a special place in my heart. Long live the Karate kid!!!!
Tearing up a bit just reading the comments as I watch the vid and remember how into the whole series I was as a kid. Great to see that the film touched folks here in different ways, perhaps, while uniting all its viewers as lovers of a great film.
Feel ya
R.i.p John Ritter🪽 & Bernie Mac🪽
Prison break sucrey
I was 16 when the movie came out, and I resonated a lot with Daniel, always bullied, always picked on. I also looked a little bit like him. I started Karate right after it and learned a lot. My Dojo didn't have a Mr. Miyagi, but close. And I also met my first love there. This movie means a lot to me.
They created something very magical, relatable and important for that (my) generation. And Cobra Kai just took it to another level
Hmmm, he was never obnoxious!
KK1 one of the best movies ever made. It's one of those movies I've seen hundreds of times and whenever I see it on TV, I watch it again.
Daniel is a joke thinking he is a teacher or even thinking he deserves that black belt he wheres
If he doesn’t deserve a black belt then Johnny must be a white belt seeing as he whooped his ass and turned him into a deadbeat loser
I love ralph hes my moms girlfriends brother in law
Justice for Johnny.
No I feel it showed that Mr Miyagi was fighting his own battles and I feel that it humanized him and also strengthened the bond between Daniel and miyagi
I watched that movie many times
Omg get this crew to teach HBO's directors how to shoot day for night, please!
Pat was Mr Miyagi to all of us kids at that time 💕
Lots of boys with no fathers for one reason or another......but we had a miyagi 😅
Ralph Macchio hasnt aged a day.
Flor❤
Wade Robson ruined this movie for me
RIP Chad McQueen!
