Ys VIII is probably the best Ys game on paper, but Ys Origin is my personal favorite. I have heard that Ys IX takes a step down. Even so, it can't be much worse than Ys Seven. lol

@@kevinstreetgaming - Depends on how easily you can look passed the controls on IX, they are a struggle at times.

Almost a whole year and it's still wrapped in plastic. lol FFXVI had more open world zones instead of an actual open world though, didn't it? I prefer something like that anyway. That's why I enjoyed FFVIII Remake so much. One day I will play Rebirth, but not today. lol

100% That was my answer to curing depression as well. Exercise and keeping yourself too busy to have time to be depressed. Your point about your dog can be true too because the companionship of a pet does make you happier. But yeah, even simple exercises, walking, etc. will help you overcome depression. Absolutely.

@ That and there's a low testerone problem with men today thanks to all the processed food. Excerise can raise your testerone but the best way is quit GOONING!! Lol

I just prefer the look of anime or cel shaded graphics in jrpgs compared to the ultra realistic graphics in wrpgs.

It sure was! lol This should have been turned into a stream, but I gave up on them a long time ago. Maybe one day they will return, but after not consistently streaming for over a year, it is difficult to get back into them. Me, a LEGEND? xD Yeah, I like to goof on my fellow content creators because as someone who lurks and observes a lot of it, I just feel like a lot of them take it way too seriously and don't even have fun with it anymore. So many people are going through the motions for the sake of the algorithm or playing it safe and I think that deserves to be called out. Yeah man, just keep talking about what YOU want to talk about and not force anything. You are one of the few "content creators" I really do enjoy. xD And yes! I think I mentioned the Switch stuff in this video. Wasn't the Switch 2 all but confirmed for today or tomorrow? lol How many videos have these clowns made about that over the past few years now? Next up is going to be "My Must Plays Games of 2025" video. Not necessarily games releasing in 2025, so there should be some nice surprises. I also have my Granblue Fantasy Versus video, Fate/Grand Order, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh videos, not to mention even more Ranting and Raving. lol You never know what you are going to get from me! Haha, no frozen pizza reviews. I'll leave that to the other Kevin for now.

Yeah, I don't really like to watch new episodes weekly unless it's something like this. I binge watch my anime when there are complete seasons. Just looking at what the kids hype up on Twitter though, it isn't pretty.

It wouldn't be an Ys game without something like that happening to Adol. You gotta love all of the cameos to the previous games. I just ended up spamming the guard buttons and it worked more often than not. lol Yes, that's a really good point. I like how Dana could transform with the spirits, unlocking different abilities. Such is the struggle of having blue hair in the world of Ys. Yes, lots of broken abilities. Dogi's outfit caught me by surprise in this game because he looks more or less the same in all of the other games. lol I love all of that. That's why I am so happy to have played the Ys games in release order, so I can pick up on all of the cameos and callbacks to the previous games. Probably at some point, but I don't like buying consoles at launch. Again, when given the choice, I prefer to play my games on the PS5, but there are exclusives like the Xenoblade Chronicles games, which I hope to finally play this year. I guess it's time for me to dust off the old Switch! lol

@@Nolava0why7Because0yes Awesome! Are you going to play through Hugo's route as well? Minor spoilers, but there is also a third character who unlocks after finishing Hugo's route. I highly recommend it, but understand if you don't want to play through the same game two more times. Enjoy Ys VIII! I recently finished it back in November and had a great time with it.

@kevinstreetgaming If I do ever feel like revisiting that part probably, definitely want a break from the location though. I did look through the story parts and differences between the other two routes mainly cause I was curious, and that was also cool too, it's interesting hearing people talk about random plot points that get mentioned in places cause even though the series is connected you're not gonna be lost if you play any of them, I think that's cool. I shall, I've heard very good things about it so I'm excited.

With those qualifications, Gray would be the main protagonist in any other series. lol Don't sleep on Natsu though. He was raised by a dragon!

@@kevinstreetgaming Also, I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m not a fan of the art style. If you told me that was Ultear, I wouldn’t have believed you. It’s as though someone took sandpaper and smoothed her face. Now she looks like a generic anime girl wearing Ultear’s ribbon.

It depends where you go. The Twitter/X crowd hates 100 Years Quest because of the new studio behind it. I don't mind it because the manga is the original material and they have already censored so much with the anime, whether it's blood, fanservice, characters not wearing the same outfits as the manga, etc. I'm just happy is exists. lol

Just this year!? I played Skyrim a lot when it first released around ten years ago and think I put around 200 hours into it. Did you play anything else this year?

The dlc is a pretty decent side story. I liked it because you could do it alongside the main story and they rewarded you with some very good items.

You might as well just add it to your backlog right now considering how it is always on sale. I have seen it for as low as $10. lol There are a lot of references to the other SMT and Devil Summoner games. I think most of the negativity was due to the fact that the price of the dlc was just ridiculous. I ended up buying the dlc because they locked additional story and demons behind it and ended up paying more for the dlc than the actual game. I don't blame Atlus because it is easy money for them, but it is a major problem. The game also has a lot of level grinding, which SMT shouldn't mind, but the general audience might not like that sort of thing, despite Soul Hackers 2 having speed up and abilities to turn encounters off. Waiting for a sale is always a good idea when it comes to Atlus games. I bought this game for $20 and recently picked up SMT V Vengeance for $25 during the Black Friday sales. @@nuke7138 Unsurprising given the subject of the video. lol Just check my channel every couple of days for new videos. I was uploading every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but it has been more sporadic since Thanksgiving. This week I have videos scheduled for Tuesday and Friday.

I still haven't bought Stellar Blade, but I did see Eve wearing a Santa hat for that promotion. Astro Bot has some Christmas themed levels now too.

The game looks good, much better than the first game. I have the collector's edition pre-ordered and will record an unboxing video after it arrives. No idea when I will play it though because I am wokring a lot until the end of the year.

I had to look that up because I am not the biggest Zelda fan and have never played that game. lol But yeah, I can see the resemblance.

I don't even use Steam because I am still a console boomer, but it is the point of the matter. If people want to use Steam's forums and messaging system to share "racist" memes, that's their business. Who cares? lol I know some people may overuse the "slippery slope" phrase, but it is true and I don't like it.

As far as I can tell, Gabe still hasn't even acknowledged this. Senator Warner's deadline of December 13th is fast approaching. I wonder if anything will happen then. lol
