Only talking about gear isn't as interesting as watching content created with the gear. Once I get a bigger apartment, I'll definitely get more plants and lights. Will cheer me up during winter. Good for mental health to see green.

So, this is just my opinion, but: It's easy enough to start separate channels with different themes. Keep one channel for photography, one for plants, one for opinions about shoelaces, or whatever other interests you may have. You can link to your other channels in the description under each video. But, if you really don't care about growing subscribers and all that, you should just do what makes you happy.

Yes, do what you feel is the best. I just got my first house plant this year but I don't know much about plants so it would be interesting to get new ideas from you.

Thank you, this is the most clear explanation of the paths of light from source to sensor I have encountered. Your video makes it clear why sometimes light is shown to converge before it hits the sensor in some diagrams, but at the sensor in others. Thanks for taking a fresh approach.

How can I reenter the curve edit dialogue once I've made adjustments and left it? The only way I found was clicking on "default" again what leads to a lose previous adjustments.

Holy moly. I have been fighting my z6ii re auto bracketing since the day I bought it. TH-cam has tons of "how to's" and everyone has their opinion on the best way. Today I stumble across your video and..... Magic. Now it is easy to use. THANK YOU for making this video.

Great video. I suggest you to get ND Filters for this type of photography to avoid lens diffraction caused by high f/stops. For those who doesn't know what diffraction is, is when a photograph grows progressively less sharp at small aperture values - f/16, f/22, and so on. As you stop down your lens to such small apertures, the finest detail in your photographs will begin to blur.

Thank you very much for this video. I just went through a long question and answer chat session with a Nikon 3rd party tech that kept asking why I was using brackets and what I needed them for only to say, after an hour, I should go buy a book on the subject.

How do you set the central exposure speed? I want to take a series of exposures from 1/3200 to 4 seconds at F/11 with 1 stop increments. How do I do this? Many thanks. Paul

On the cameras front left brow can you enable that light so as to indicate whether recording is going on or not?

I'm sorry the music volume is too loud in this video, it is quieter in my newer videos so I'd encourage you to check those out, but unfortunately there's nothing I can do to make the music quieter on this video that's already been uploaded. Just wanted to address that since this video is nearly two years old and I continue to get comments telling me to turn the music down. I would on this if I could, and the problem is fixed in newer videos. Sorry and thanks for watching!

Thank you so much. Just to make sure I understand - one can “turn on” AEB by changing the number of exposures from 0 to 3 or 5, etc. (and I turn off AEB by returning the number of exposures to 0), right?

Very helpful, Emmett, clear and concise. I've been a Nikon user for years but this is my first mirrorless camera. It arrived today and the user's manual enclosed is very basic with limited information. They should have called it the Useless Manual! ...I'm so pleased I found your video so at least I know what the various buttons are for, mostly intuitive and similar to my other Nikons, but a couple I had no idea until I watched your vid. A more apt title for this video might be older vs. newer camera. When I was gifted the D3100 in 2010 it retailed for almost 1K in a two lens kit.

As editor, when do you know that are colors are almost same on reality? Remember need an aquire color image not as you like - this must be in real estate photos. Smartphone on 2 D images do a good job vs old DSLR

Hi there...very informative video...I'd like your opinion on a different type of image to be edited and which software you think would be better. I am a watercolor artist and would like to begin digitizing my artwork to print. Once I scan I will need to be able to adjust shade, tint, etc to get as close to my original artwork. I'm capable of learning, of course, but will be a editing novice. Which software do you think will be the best match for editing scanned original art work? Thank you for your thoughts.
