Can a fake belief give you real strength? Yes. I present to you the pretend pain paradox. I hope it causes you to live more skillfully.
Since this psychological thought experiment is unfalsifiable, it has haunted me ever since it first entered my little brain all those years back. On the plus side, it has caused me to make the hard choice in many scenarios where I would've otherwise chosen to be a crybaby or exaggerate my suffering.
People always wonder whether life is secretly more challenging for them in particular, but they rarely wonder if it's secretly easier for them. But baked into the mind of the person who does wonder about such things is a perspective that will undoubtedly serve him in the long run.
Plus, if we believe 'that which is useful contains truth', then the idea that your suffering isn't as bad as you're convinced it is must also contain some non-negligible truth. Because... look what happened ;)

Channel overview:
A few years ago, I was stuck in bed, hating the universe for subjecting me to the 'sick and twisted game of life' without my consent. I was quite pathetic.
It was only after I realized something very important that things began getting better... life didn't suck; I did.
In the absence of friction, my mind was conjuring its own, so life was hard, yes, but it didn't have to be. The suffering was unnecessary. After a few years of incremental progress, I'm having the time of my life. I've never been in better shape, my mind has never been sharper, I've never experienced so much happiness, and it's all rooted in a deep sense of meaning that was once absent.
I had to shake myself of lots of old beliefs and patterns to get to where I am, and I believe there are millions of other people who feel stuck and could learn from my mistakes. So that's why I'm starting this channel: to share some of the insights that formed the foundation of the psychological habitat I now occupy.
I don't know exactly how the channel will develop but I'm going to start by posting my raw ideas as that's the only thing I can consistently do at this point in time.
I hope it helps!

I disagree on your interpretation of the absurd, at least how I understand it. Tapestry is equal to the absurd and we do experience it. Hell, I could maybe agree that absurd is the negative of the trapestry, as there are negatives of film pictures. If you were to produce a picture from a film, you need its negative. The absurd is not the enemy, nihilism is.

This view has similarities with pantheistic ideas, where the Universe itself is the ultimate reality. A key element is the belief in the immanent value of existence, in the meaningfulness of life as such. It is important to emphasize that the author does not offer proof of the existence of a higher meaning. He offers a perspective, a way of seeing the world, which can help to cope with existential anxiety and find a sense of meaningfulness. Unfortunately, I didn't get anything useful about the meaning of existence from this video. I'm cooked...

There were some good thoughts until you reached Faith. Faith: "complete trust or confidence in someone or something." I don't need intrinsic meaning, nor even sunjective meaning to the world or my actions. I am the universe and I am not. And the conflation of individual intelligence with the universe is just silly. Water isn't wet.

I have found that red pill content is very valuable and painfully truthful. Yet, it becomes toxic, in a sense, when it isn’t swallowed fully. When the pill gets stuck in the throat of these men and women who decide to take it. Our society has been much more accepting of the feminist movement but not of red pill, which is the opposing side. Difference is feminism pushes women’s rights and is pro-equality. When red pill simply outlines the contrasts between men and women in an effort to shed light on how each side can live together in harmony. Men and women are not equal. We never will be. It was designed that way so that we can balance each other. We cannot survive as a species without one another. The red pill isn’t truly swallowed completely and successfully until the anger is gone. Men who still hold anger, speak in statistics and insists on being an alpha “high value man” haven’t yet swallowed the red pill. Doesn’t mean red pill content isn’t the truth. Just means that those men are using it as a way to medicate the feelings of incompetence they have.

It's your life and no one can live it for you. And there are no timeouts. The River of Time just keeps flowing. And that's a good thing. Things can change. I think, therefore I’ve got to pay a bill or die. But I can’t die because that happens to other people. We won’t know when we’re dead. So death is a syllogism that doesn’t have a punchline. So I’m avoiding death by thinking about it because if I’m still thinking about it, it can’t happen. So Red Bull and stream of consciousness is my purpose in life because you can’t have family or friends because they are not possessions. And economics are pervasive, or economics is pervasive. Now I’ve got to figure out if economics is plural or singular, which proves Twain’s theory of life being one damn thing or another. And I can’t learn piano because you cannot learn all of piano, but you can learn enough to convince some that you might. Now I will go to sleep or die, and I may never know which.
