Ride Different Country Ride on a Recumbent TadpoleTerraTrike EVO WUWR 338
www.epidemicsound.com/track/LXgWUHpIv6/A ride in the farmlands of Southwest Michigan on a recumbent tatpole trike, a TerraTrike EVO (Electric Vehicle Option). The ride is a glimpse of Michigan farmland north and east of New Buffalo and west of Three oaks on the Backroads Bikeway developed by the Three Oaks Spokes Bicycle Club, home of the Apple Cider Century held each September.
The two hour ride, condensed to 11 minutes, give one a taste of riding a recumbent trike on backroads getting out for some fresh air (and not so fresh if you know what I mean), exercising and above all, enjoying the scenery while seated in a "moving lawnchair."

Great day for a ride 👍😃
The bicycle is impressive and has an appealing design. The video is excellent. New friend. Big Like💕
At first I thought the soundtrack was from Kenya. 😃I laughed out so loud and thought to myself, 'Richard comes to Africa.' 😂😂Another relaxing ride, what a way to start my morning.👌 I know the scary feeling of the horn from the train, 🚆🚋🚅sometimes the huge lorries get me off guard and I almost run into the bush.😂 What! Riding for more than an hour, you must definitely be fit.💪 Tracy rides for thirty minutes or less.😂 I love to see the different colours of trees, it is great you are showing us that.🌲🌳🍁🍂The photos made me smile, they are beautiful. ❤This was a lovely ride, just like your Christmas Tree assembling live video.🎄 I wish you the best and looking forward to more rides.💛🧡
If the Christmas tree would talk, it would request for retirement.😄 We used to have live trees before, but it was a mess to clean it up for us. It was beautiful to watch this, you and Mrs G working together. 🎄🎉I think I should start being like your parents, giving beautiful things as presents for people. I loved the Santas, all of them.🎅🎅That is very wonderful of your parents. It is a surprise how early Christmas starts in some continents. It was a beautiful watch. I hope we see the final decoration.🎄🎆🎇✨🎉🎊🎈🎍 Have a wonderful weekend.❤💕💚🧡Greetings from us.
Selamat pagi
WOW! Nice bike, looks so cool Great video, thanks for sharing 👍Like 4 Greetings from new subscriber and friend 😀
Thank you for stopping by the channel, and your support is appreciated. How's the weather up north? Richard 🙂
@@whatsupwithrichard Not very cold at the moment Greetings from Montreal 👋 Benoit 😀
One of those 360 cameras would be perfect for this 👍
I agree. I have seen videos using them with microphones and their content looks and sounds great. I have looked into trying the camera, but alas, I just bought a new car to replace my 16 year old van. On top of that, the selfie stick I was using broke a prong that held the phone. Not cash left over for a new camera for a while.😪 Did I mention I'm married? 😅 Thanks for stopping by and your comment. I'll see what the future holds.
I must admit i do not miss the effort it takes putting up a Christmas tree, moving things around and all the cleaning, but it's fun watching you and Mrs G setting up your tree Richard💯🎄👍4
Happy holidays! Yes, it is a week of taking things down, storing, and replacing with Christmas decorations. We'll be working on it for a few more days, or should I say Mrs. G will be working on it for a few more days. She has a system I refuse to interrupt. 😆 Lights are on the 🎄 but not decorated yet. Lights around the inside of the house are up, and most decorations aer out of their boxes and are ready to be put in place. Thanks for tuning in, Gary. It's always a pleasure to have you visit.
This is very interesting to look at. Look at what humans can invent! Fantastic.
The trash truck comes later in the day. Same kind of vehicle. Up, over, out, and down. It's much easier than one man driving and another picking up each can and dumping by hand. One driver does the work of two.
Looks good, Richard. The selfie stick definitely gives you many more options. Keep practicing with it.
Thanks, John. I think a combination of chest mount and selfie stick views will be a good way to make the videos more interesting for the viewers. More scenery and less me and my feet.😅
Nice places wonderful relaxing I like that place
Thank you. 😊
I bet things look a little different today…maybe less GREEN and more WHITE if you know what I mean!
Well, not quite. Believe it or not, just past Bridgman last Friday, there was no snow, and when we got home, the roads were dry. We're in a warning now, but very little coming down. ❄️❄️☃️⛄️A snowmobiler's nightmare!😵💫
The selfie stick is perfect, the view is wonderful. Yes, the video is okay. 👌The movements are smooth. You seem to be enjoying yourself.🎊🎉🔥 We hope to see more of these rides. Now you can turn the camera, this way and that way, without much effort. 📷📸This is a special tool. The deer are an awesome sight. What a lovely conclusion.💚🧡🥰
Thank you, Berina. I hope next year to have some better videos from my trike. More scenery and less of me and my pedaling feet. Too, cold to ride now. Below freezing 🥶 temperatures for a while. ❄️❄️☃️
@@whatsupwithrichard You are in a different world. It is hot here, the rains disappeared. I will be looking forward to more road footage from you. 🥰
I missed this one. 😂😂😂😂Fantastic.
Creepy! Those folks always have a great set-up for Halloween 🎃.
I hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving. 🍗🦃🎉❤️
We did. All my brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews were able to get together. My 93 year old mom fell a month ago and broke her leg and is in a wheel chair. She is recovering at a rehabilitation home, but we were able to secure a van to bring her to my sisters house for Thanksgiving. We all have much to be thankful 🙏 for.
@@whatsupwithrichard Oh that was quite a wonderful thanksgiving. Sorry about your mom, I hope she gets well soon.🙏
Pretty cool to see the first welcome center 😃 pretty wild to think that without the car people never really traveled very far 😎
You're right, Brian. Just look at some of the technology you have been seeing. I can't imagine using those machines to do work very fast, but very labor saving. Same with the automobile. Folks didn't travel far as it it was too difficult and time-consuming. The auto allowed us to get from place to place more quickly and easily.
That is so cool Richard
Thanks. It has been growing on me. I have to be honest, though, I wasn't too thrilled when Mrs.G brought it home from a rummage sale. 😅
All these is complicated to me, but I hope with time, I will understand stuff about space. Quite a unique subject.👌🥰
It isn't easy to keep track of all the technology that happened in the 1960s. The space race, though, was of great interest to kids my age. We wrote letters to NASA, and they would send photos of the rockets, capsules, and astronauts back to us. I had a chance to eat " space food" as one of my schoolmate's dads worked in research and development at Whirlpool Corporation. It's pretty cool stuff for an elementary school kid. I have been interested ever since. 🚀🛸
@whatsupwithrichard 😊
I wonder how much this capsule cost, never to be flown? But where would we be without pioneer projects like Mercury, stuck on the ground no doubt.💯🚀🚀👍4
Good question! I Googled it and found the spacecraft (capsules only) for the program were about 135.3 million or over 1.4 billion today. No problem, though. My parents paid for it. 😅
Project mercury cougar
I always favored the '68 MERCURY Couger XR-7. 😎 I think I just dated myself. 😪
@whatsupwithrichard my first car was a 82 Ford Fairmount
Tremendous achievement-well deserved!
Thanks for watching. It was a nice day and a relaxing ride on the river. 🙂
Nice 👍
Thank you for watching. It was a very interesting experience. Too bad I wasn't able to video the process, but in the description, there is a link to a TV station that did a short segment when Wilson opened the new factory and showed what we saw on the tour. 🏈🏉
Was that a barbecue grill? 1:34 I wonder what plant that is. I wonder if we have travel information centers in our country. 2:38 The place is so beautiful. The light blue colour soothing to the eye. The trees have shed their leaves. 🍁🌳🍂The picnic area must be very beautiful when the trees have leaves. Your content is unique. A change to our everyday watch.❤👌👌
Hello Berina. Yes, that is a barbecue grill at the picnic ground area. It's not something I have seen at other information centers. The trees have shed their leaves, and last night, we had our first freezing temperature 32°F (0°C). I'm not used to it 😱. I'm not sure what the plant is called. Mrs G wasn't sure either. Thank you for watching.
That's a lot of lighthouses, this is a really cool information centre, and a fascinating look into it's history. Another great production Richard💯👍6
@Bungieboi Thank you for your kind comment, Gary. 😊 I can tell that this isn't exactly a very popular topic 😆 but I thought it important to tell the story. I had been driving by that building for years, wondering what it was all about. Its architecture and parking area were, to say the least, out of character for the area. I only discovered its original purpose when doing research for a bicycle tour along the old West Michigan Pike. There is no historic marker there of any kind. I wonder how many folks flying by at 55 or 60 mph, not knowing what small piece of history they are missing? Most everyone I suspect.
Richard, nice job! SRS
Thanks, Steve. It's too bad I couldn't take pictures. That would have been more interesting, but I understand why. This turned out like a commercial for Wilson Sporting Goods. 😆
Interesting! My mom loves lighthouses and I am sure my dad took her to some in Michigan ❤
They are a popular attraction. Mrs. G visited a few while I rode my bike along the west coast of Michigan. Our local St. Joseph Lighthouse gives tours, which I would like to do next summer. Thanks for watching, Liz.
What a great look at what is today and a flashback to yesteryears!! I'll have to say that I do like the homey feel that first center seems to give off. Lots of history and fond memories to share if those walls could talk!
It is interesting that there is no sign at that location. l had driven by it for 40 years before I found out, doing some research for a bike ride on the West Michigan Pike, what it actually was at one time. I guess roadside information centers aren't that big a deal. Thank you for watching, and have a great rest of your week.
Thanks for stopping by the channel folks. WUWR (What's up With Richard?) is a variety channel where I bring all sorts of topics to TH-cam, venturing through life now as a senior citizen (aka Old Dude). 🥸 Join with me as I continue this adventure through 2025. 😮 Yep, you saw it here first. Another fantastic year of WUWR! Like it or not.😂😂😂 Have a great week, y'all.
Exellent piece of kit Richard, very handy for making life that little bit easier💯👍7
I agree wholeheartedly. I wish I had done it sooner! 😪 OH, well, that's in the past, water over the dam. It is what it was, but from now on, easy peasy. Next week, when I mow and trim the yard for the last time in 2024 (winter is coming), I expect to be happy not hauling around that d@%m cord.🙂 Thanks for watching and your comment, Gary. Have a great week. 🙂
I would also use the battery too. It is cold out there. 🥶🧊❄️ Oh! Both of them work well. These are tools everybody would like to have at home. The compound is clean. 👌👌Have a wonderful week. 💚❤You both.
It is amazing how much quicker I can get the yard work done. It will be especially nice next summer when it gets hot out again. Thanks for 👀. 🙂
We will leaf🍁🍁🍂🍂🍀☘️ you alone. 😂😂😂❤
Thank you. 🍂🍁🍃🍂
I'd like to get one of them vacuum blowers one day. Neighbours are pretty close and no telling where things would get blown. Cordless is really the way to go these days. Marvelous!!
The little blower is great for cleaning the driveway and sidewalk. It makes cleaning out the garage much easier than sweeping it out with the broom. Oh, my! Am I getting lazy? 🤔
@@whatsupwithrichard Not lazy...we get super smarter as we age! lol
Good to see and learn about this priduct... Ive been in the market for one
Thanks for watching and your comment. I used them last week after mowing and was pleased with how they worked. Like I said in the video, this set is not intended for huge properties but smaller in areas they would be fine. The company does offer different products for larger areas. Longer strings, more powerful batteries, and adjustability. Good luck with your search.
Looks like a great, high-quality product
Thanks for stopping by the channel and your comment. I have other Black and Decker products, but these are the first operated by battery. So far, 0:01 so good. They worked well when doing my yard work last week. The battery took about 2 hours to charge to full. They are ready for my next lawn adventure 🙂
Thanks for tuning in and sharing some time with "What's up With Richard?" **Read all directions before using this equipment. I have since used both the trimmer/edger and sweeper on my lawn and driveway, and they worked fine. Not hauling that 100 ft electrical cord around made it a much more pleasant experience. 😉 Ps. Excuse my spelling error of the word, cord. Another senior moment by your truly. Richard
You have been excused, though it is not a serious error.
How do you sit laid back, with such comfort and never have the urge to sleep? The trike that you can fold, sure, the human brain can be creative. I know you enjoyed the test ride. The trikes are beautiful, the tour, interesting, I loved it. 🎉 🎉 😍😍👌👌I wish you both, a wonderful week.
Hey, Berina, I haven't fallen asleep yet, 😴 but it is comfortable riding a trike. The first one I rode was nice and comfortable , but it was too low and hard for an old timer to get in and out of. The second was a sweet ride, and if I could afford one, that would be my choice. As it is, I love riding what I have, and I am so thankful to Mrs G for supporting my choice. I rode this morning and just turned over 1,500 miles this year. All of them are fun as the first. Yes, folding trikes and bikes is a really unique way to travel and take them with you. Mine does not fold, unfortunately, but that's okay, as I really haven't had any reason to take it anywhere. 😅 Thanks for watching, and you all have a wonderful week.
Oh wow, there is something for everyone there! Cool!!
It is quite the convention, so many companies were showcasing their bike and trikes like one happy family. Consumers were able to ride bikes and trikes, and this year, velomobiles. I do hope it is close enough next year that I can attend and sign up to pedal a velo. Looks like fun.
so beautiful thank you for sharing always stay safe
It was a really cool convention with companies from around the world showcasing their bikes, trikes, and velomobiles. Taking demo rides was the best part. 🙂
My uncle has one of those bikes with a electric helper for the catskill mountain roads
Trikes are fun to ride and great exercise, but they are heavy and slow going up hills. The emotor makes it more comfortable to ride into the wind and up hills. I can see where he lives, that a motor would be most useful, allowing him to ride further and have more fun doing it. Thanks for watching and your comment. My best to your uncle.
WoW! That’s Awesome! I Loved it! 🫶🏻🤩🍁❤️🍂
Why thank you so much! Not exactly a video going viral, but if you liked it, then it was worthwhile to produce. It is a gorgeous place to visit in the fall, but also in spring and summer. We are lucky to have it in our local area. 🙂 RG
I love outdoors with a passion especially if it is nature. Everything is a miracle. How do the trees know when to turn colour? It is amazing. The trees are pretty with the new colours. I loved the walk on the bridge. I hope to see more of the fall strolls. The apples and pumpkins are beautiful. I wish you a nice week. 🍂🍂🍁🍁💛💛
Even though it is short-lived, I always look forward to the autumn season and the trees showing their color preparing for winter. As to why they change, it's beyond my scientific knowledge, but I do know that as our daylight grows shorter this time of year, so does the growing season. Without the sunlight, the chlorophyll can't produce its green hues and chemically changes, producing the different colors. I probably just set chemical science back a hundred 💯 years! Botanist beware. 😂
@whatsupwithrichard 😂😂😂
Never heard the term "Leaf Peeper " before, but it's something i bet most of us have done at some time, for me it would be when i'm walking my dog, Fall/Autumn is a most beautiful time of year, the vibrant shades of red, and gold quite breathtaking. The Galien River County park is really beautiful, and i loved the views from the walkway through the trees. Nice one Richard💯❤👍3
I didn't know either until I went to a park website, and they used the term. I guess it's as good as any. Leaf Looker, Leaf Gazer, just don't have the same ring. Of course, a Peeping Tom is quite a different genre. 🙄
Great video sharing, thank you my friend. Have a nice day.
Thank you for your support of this channel. It is most appreciated. The fall colors are in full effect now, but it signals that winter is coming. 🥶
Awww the leaves looks marvelous. Loved it so much. All the best Chelsea and Mike
Yep, they do look marvelous, but soon they will all fall, and winter will soon be here. 🥶❄️
This is when being a "peeper" is quite acceptable! lol Lot of great pops of colour in your area!! Marvelous!!
Ha, Ha, the only time you can be a "Peeping Tom" without being arrested. We are enjoying the colors now, but realize, as you and Otis do, winter is just around the corner. 🌬❄️🥶
Hello Richard, I laughed out very hard this morning.
Ha ha, it scared me when I walked by it. Motion sensored animation. Do you celebrate Halloween?🎃
@@whatsupwithrichard No, we do not, but I love to watch videos about it.
What a fantastic tour of the Wilson factory, a great show of Football equipment and history, well worth the visit Richard, another exellent upload my friend💯❤⚽🏉🏀👍8
@Bungieboi Thanks. I wasn't able to film in the actual factory, but the little museum was pretty interesting and showed many of the products they make. In the description, there is a link to a TV channel that did a short news clip of the inside of the factory with interviews, etc. Best I could do. The tour, though, was awesome. If someone is into American football, it is worth stopping in Ada. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful week.
