Thanks for watching, Brian. I had seen a partial year's ago. It just so happened that my brother and sister-in-law lived directly in this eclipse's path. We have been planning on seeing this for about two years. Pretty cool experience. 😎
We had planned on viewing this for a couple of years. It just so happened that the path of this total Eclipse was directly over my brother and sister-in-law's hometown. It was a cool thing to watch; a nice family gathering. Thank you for watching, Gary.
I heard the dog barking. We used to have eclipses when we were young, we have not had any in the recent years. I love how seriously you take the nature occurrences. The temperatures going down is something I will pay attention to when it happens next here. Five minutes is a short time. That is an acute temperature drop. 🔥☀♥😆😆
It was quite an experience. I have seen partial but never a total Eclipse. It was worth the 3 1/2 hour drive to share it with Mrs. G family. Yes, the temperature 🌡 dropped, and a few of us put on a sweater as the breeze was chilling until the sun came back to warm things up. The barking dog was the neighbor's dachshund. It wasn't used to all the commotion and serenaded us as he/she ran back and forth along the fence. Cute little thing. Thanks for watching, Barina. It's always nice to hear from you.
Fantastic, was not disappointed! Did not expect the ambient temperature to drop so markedly, bravo Richard! PS Frothing (means excited in youth speak, apparently..) to see your electric, peddle trike thingy in action!!! :)
Hey, Martin, thanks for watching. It was a cool experience seeing a total Eclipse. I had seen a partial years ago, so I was looking forward to this showing. It was so nice that the universe cooperated, and the shadow passed directly over my brother and sister-in-law's hometown. The whole family had a wonderful time. As for the pedal- trike thingy (great name, by the way) I have a couple in the editor 😉 and will be up soon.
It really was. We had planned on going to my brother and sister-in-law's house for the eclipse for a couple of years. Mrs. G's family all came in for the event. I didn't want to miss this opportunity. I won't be around for the next one. 😆
Thanks for watching, @Marglue. From my small amount of research, I do believe that eclipses occur in the Southern Hemisphere, but because most landforms are above the equator, they are not typically seen in totality. A total eclipse in the US won't occur again until somewhere around 2044-45. I am not sure where. That is why it was a big deal here to "see" this one. I'm not worried about seeing the next one, though I don't expect to be around at that time. 😆
It was pretty neat 😎 we had a partial here in St. Louis

Cool share Richard 😃👍
Thank you for watching. It's one of those cool phenomena that one rarely has an opportunity to see first hand.

The solar eclipse can only be seen in North America. Great!
