You are very misinformed if you think priests don't drink and smoke. I'm a 72 yr. old Catholic and x-alter boy. I've seen a lot of priests smoke cigarettes and cigars, and drink beer and hard liquor many many times.

The old priest was taking nitroglycerin tablets for a heart condition. Back "in the day" that was a common prescription for older people with weak hearts.

And Jen is the Evil Queen from Snow white who made a potion and poisoned an apple which she feed to Snow

I could have done without the sight of the desecrated statue. It's so revolting, and there's certainly enough 'revolting' in this film to last a lifetime.

Demons DON'T DIE! They just go away until they come back. Demons are fallen angels and angels don't die. They are immortal beings. There are NO rules in the Catholic Church preventing priests from smoking and drinking! Most priests back then smoked. Today priests are more health conscious. Today's priests still do drink. There are two REAL priests in this movie. Father Tom, the older priest who advises the bishop to select Lancaster Merrin as the exorcist. The other real priest was Father Karras' friend, Father Dyer, the piano playing priest.

I have to applaud Theo Rossi for the way he's playing our good ol' creeper, Dr Julian Rush. There's something about the way he stands that just seems... unnatural, not quite human, wrong somehow. Before he even opens his mouth, he is _super_ off putting.
