This video systematically tackles motivation, stripping away the fluff to zero in on what genuinely drives progress. We break down the mechanics of motivation-fast burn vs. slow burn-and reveal why feel-good strategies alone don't cut it.
I'm laying out a clear, methodical approach to understanding the deep, push factors that fuel us. I distinguish between what pulls us and what truly pushes us forward. This is about leveraging a structured understanding of motivation to blast through our personal barriers

    This seems obvious is basically stack the other things/projects when the load of getting off the first one has faded, every(most worthy) project needs a Heavy front load of effort at the beginning, so in reality is not possible to focus in two hard projects at once at the beginning, much less 3 or more. However the practical side of this is kinda questionable,in my experience I've never felt to have a project under my control/finished or ramped up fuuck. may be it's beacause I cram a lot of things or not juggle them accordingly (Not able to do compromises/sacrifices) - Maximalist trap. I've tried to do this, but this is a reminder that this may be the way. Additional to this, I have the idea that although at the beginning you need a lot of effort, when priorities shift, DO NOT abandon the endevour totally but "keep it warm" by recalling or doing a few minuts/hour so when you can exert full focus again, you don't have to start from 0. So in reality these curves may look more like a rollercoaster, but never let the "backlog" project energy/dedication go to none. Reading the coments some aspects are also important, look other mechanisms to optimize energy, (delagation, automation).

    I use this technique a lot for buying one property after another. So it is kinda "step by step" strategy but just in a very big scale. - I simply delegate the work with my existing portfolio when I got no own capacity left. - Also I automize a lot of the accounting and taxes stuff. Some programming-skills really help with that. - Last but not least it's important to optimize given tasks. Kindly say "no" when it's not your concern. Or having reusable templates ready for reaccuring processes, and so on. It all becomes a habit eventually which generates capacity for new projects. Lately, I have kick-started two businesses at once and therefore I have to pay more attention on prioritizing, which is a bit drowning. But I think my capacity management is still better than most of the peoples' 🙂 In Germany we have a saying for entrepreneurs which goes like "Don't work in the company; Work on the company" Best greetings and thanks for sharing the nice plane analogy 👍

    1.5 million people is not a full stadium times a 1000. Divide 1.5 million per 50.000 (more or less the capacity of a stadium), and you will get 30.

    A friend and I were discussing the phone thing over the weekend, we started a challenge to get the time down. Getting a 4g connected watch and leaving the phone at home is an option, then you have all the utility apps but not the mindless scrolling. TH-cam is tricky because like this video I watch to learn, so feels productive, but implementing the learnings is slim to none 😮

    #1 I have a stack of three restriction extensions on my web browser, making it require a lot of effort to turn them off, ensuring I don't easily bypass them. I still allocate some free time to surf social media between breaks, though. I've been using this strategy for over three years, and it works like a charm. 🫠

    I wonder if setting your lower limit gives you an excuse to be less productive. How would I keep myself trying to hit the upper limit a reasonable amount of time when I know the lower limit is OK. IK the problem is that people work in a few ambitious sessions rather than many less-ambitious sessions, which isn't effective, but how would one keep themselves ambitious if the standards are lowered?

    • @James_Lim
      @James_Lim 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Good question! My take is to adjust your lower limit (upward) to the point where you feel satisfied that this is a true minimum standard for your progression. Only you know this; if you don't feel it is adequate and keep leaning on it, try raising it. When I'm working with people live, we are constantly adjusting this, using real-time feedback to determine the most appropriate limits to get the most out of them. This is quite a difficult process due to the reason you mentioned vs the potential for being overwhelmed by only having an upper-limit goal. My observation is that over time, people tend to become much more aware of their true limits, and the operation window narrows (the lower limit increases at a slightly faster rate than the upper limit.)
