Yeah, before the recent rank distribution changes i was Initiate IV and then Initiat5lV. (Now I'm Arcanist III.) And even as Initiate V i was surprised by how skilled and sweaty some of my games seemed to be. I was going up against players who seemed to understand their characters really well, and were generally good at aiming and claiming and denying soul orbs. So i think bumping up some players a bit makes sense, because Initiate seemed a little low for how skilled some of the players i was fight against.

I had the most painful game of deadlock I’ve ever played earlier today!!! We honestly should’ve been a devastating team we had infernus haze wraith and bebop then I was mo and krill. We had 3 people go into my lane right from the very start but my teammates somehow weren’t able to get anything whatsoever done 1v2 so we were severely under farmed because we literally had to back up past our guardian because this vindicta was shooting us from the side so it was insanely difficult to even buy anything. Both of us were complaining on our mics and bebop came to help once and literally didn’t use his hook or bomb once the entire goddamn game because he was going gun build and apparently thought that made his other abilities not worth using at all because didn’t even use his ult he had 5,000dmg at the end of the game. Then infernus didn’t buy spirit lifesteal he saved up for leech and only had 2 other 500 soul vitality items. This haze wouldn’t group up with the team and would only push out lanes and had 7,000dmg at the end of the game. I had one point I was pushing out lane with 2 other people who were grouped up right on me then 2 enemies showed up so I fought them but my teammates decided the only important thing to do was push out lane and not help me at all. If the penalty for leaving wasn’t so severe I 1000% would’ve rage quit the game. I have never been so mad playing this game! The only person that wasn’t a complete and total bot was wraith. I had 12,000 damage and wraith had 15,000 everyone else on the team had 7,000 or less and this is even after being able to do nothing whatsoever in lane

This is a very cute concept for videos man. It's like teaching kindergarten but for Deadlock.

Honestly they don't look as bad as I'd expect from such a low rank. Some of them even aim decently well so I guess their rank comes down to bad decision making. Looking at the map at some points that seems about right. They're not awful awful at what they're doing, they just have no idea what they should be doing.

If you only did ranked for 1 week, you can safely ignore where you were placed. That's just your quick play MMR.
