เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 3 ก.ค. 2014
I am an automotive enthusiast who has fun documenting how I maintain and improve the cars the I use. I share everything from basic routine maintenance to larger projects that may take months. I am currently working on a 1989 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado, a 1999 Volkswagen Golf GL and a 1995 Honda Civic EX coupe. Check out the videos and let me know what you are working on.

This a just a quick video of how I resolved the issued of how my adjustable test pipe would slip out. There are confounding factors. But, even with them, this solution has been rock solid. It will allow me to swap back to a D series using the same setup. #civc #honda #ej1

I purchased a non running, partially disassembled 1995 BMW 325i. This series will be about the problems I found and how I got it running. I am a big 3 series (E30 and E46) fan. But, I had never driven an E36. In this video I complete a few odds and ends and then I sell it. before changing the spark plugs, were you guys experiencing low fuel efficiency? I have a 2018 cx 5 and is going for only 24MPG on the highway
@@krusty112 I don't think so. But, My wife mainly drives it and she doesn't monitor economy 😞🫤
Thanks bro!
Buen video! Gracias!.
Where did you get the wires you used?
@@konradwallace-h6w I'm pretty sure they came with the kit. I'll check though.
Thanks for this!
Just have to be careful how much you adjust. You can blind other drivers
☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️👍👍👍👍yep
Great video thank you for the fast response as well !!!
No need to do on 2015 with hand break correct ?
@@tccampodonico6651 correct. Much easier to do with them.
What year is it? How many miles? Must be up there if everything is deteriorating like that .
It's a 07 with 185K miles....I purchased it a few months ago with 182K
Awesome little video, I was looking at how to remove the door panel, very nicely done. The problem with your latch was the little black clip attached to the wire which activates the mechanical latch, the little one under the door handle. It was set to far.
Looking good! You should detail your wife's car...
That's the plan!
Wonderfully well done and informative video. Thank you.
I thought it was more difficult. Now I know I can do it
Hey Maq I appreciate all the time and effort you put in your videos! I have a 1999 audi a3 1.6 L 8v and I am about to replace my 5sp with another transmission because my current one has a bad transmission and knock in the transaxle. You transmission video is very helpful. I always see you jacking up the car from under the engine and then placing it on stands. Where are you exactly jacking it up from with your floor jack? What type of engine do you have in your car. Thank you once again for your dedication to keeping these cars running.
If this a 2.5 liter engine, OEM plugs are the iridium autolight spark plugs. This engine is a ford engine. Not Japanese.
@@philipcbarrera1537 Hi! Are you sure? Ford never made Skyactiv engines. And unlike our old Mazda3 there are no Ford markings anywhere on the vehicle. The 2018 CX-5 engine seems to be Japanese made. I'm not sure why it matters for this video though 😉
Thank you Jenna 😅
Brother, invest in a impact gun.. doesnt have to be an expensive one. I have a bauer corded 1/2 drive from Harbor freight and it can break anything loose... i used to have a bugeye that looked just like yours from the side! Beautiful car, and overall great video!
@@dannythompson1948 Thanks! It was long overdue but I finally have one. The combination of being broke and cheap is why I delayed it for so long. 😜 It's a game changer.
Great video! I have a question if you could help me. Whenever I brake and them slowly take the foot from the brake (in traffic jam for example), car almost shuts off, can that be a spark plug problem? Thanks!
Yes but check air filter too and fuel filter
Wish i seen this before i started..😂
Lowered suspension absolutely ! Stock suspension 50/50
This video I've seen on this. I ran into a problem when I did mine. Had a hard time getting it out of service mode.
Love your videos. Was having serious shifting issues with my 2002 Golf MKIV TDI and this fixed it 😎😎👍👍.
Hello. What is the number of the tool you drilled a hole with.
Great helpful video. thk u. where did you buy the wiper motor . , ?😊
@@edgardomatos6923 Hey! I got the motor and original updated board from the junkyard. I later replaced the board with a new one.
Best instructions I've seen thus far I was scared to do this because I didn't understand about the caliber. I just got work done on my vehicle and the mechanic was to much for me. I got enough sense to do this with over kill of ideas from all the videos I watched.
Excellent video! The only thing I noticed was that the car you were working looks like the 2017 and above model?
@@expressthomas yes. It was a 2018. And thanks!
I’ve had this same exact problem since I replaced the belt/pump 2years ago and have been going absolutely crazy. Replaced just the belt last year (thought it was bad tensioner), noise came back a month later. Determined there’s a 90% chance it’s the water pump, but gave up until the next timing belt change (40k left) or until I get too embarrassed. Mine has quieted down some in recent weeks tho. Thanks for the vid, it gives me hope.
@@leonkloonsner Man! I feel you. When I was chasing down the squeak it was so painful because as soon as I ran it for a little while it would get quiet and I had to let the car sit for hours. I really just think some water pumps are problematic. Good luck!
Great video brother! Feels good to take care of big items like the water pump and motor mounts. Makes the car drive better and now you know it will last that much longer. Now you just gotta SAI delete that sucker and get a custom intake manifold and turbo it 😂
@@JoelCaseyJonesMusic Thanks! And yes it does feel good! I have to look into the SAi delete. It will clean up the engine bay so much.
@ yes! especially with that huge pump right up front on the 2.0. Keep ‘em coming bro!
Keep out the good work Maq!
@@mariandaniel7793 Thanks and I'll do my best 👍😉
Great video! I’m always looking forward to your next!
@@asherperlmuter Thank you so much! There are many more to come.
Thanks for the video! Awesome!
@@BlackSheepOverlandAdventures You are very welcome! And, it is still working great.
just did mine today, running smoother .
You lifted the car from the radiator support? You crazy
@@christopher4692 I am crazy 😜but I'm sure you saw that wrong. I lifted with the front lift point. It was designed for that.
Do you have to replace the calipers? I think my mechanic ripped me off
You only have to replace the calipers if there's a problem with them. It could have been seized. It could have been fine.
😂
YOur discs did not look like they needed replacing.
😂
Thanks for a great video, I used it this weekend to do my rear Cx5 brakes and all went prefect! Only thing I’d say is it would be useful to share Torque values for lol the bolts.
When I saw your first video, which I think was the last one you made, I thought you were an amateur and curious, but after following your other older videos I realize that you are a professional because you can fix everything in the car. Congratulations
nice work
VW Golf MK4 is a great car.
This video was very helpful. Thank you sir!
The greatest video i ever seen...
Hey Maq, i just wanted to give you a big thank you for these videos. I just put my tranny back in my beetle and it wasnt too bad. I have an engine support from the top and used one of those airbag jacks under rhe tranny and it worked great. Just got the starter back in so i figured that is a good stopping place so i can sleep (I'm a night shifter so all of this work is being done at night). Your videos gave me the confidence to do this myself. Even though im not done yet i am excited. I cant wait to be getting 50 mpg again.
Well I've driven 600 miles since the clutch install and everything is great! Shifts better than when it was new. The LUK clutch rep set is awesome. Pedal is much lighter and engagement is almost as smooth as an automatic. My grinding issues are gone and my mpg are back up to 50.
I've got the exact same problem in my Mk4. Thanks a bunch
The only thing I would suggest brother never clean your new rotors while on the car. Just saying Besides that great video just a normal guy doing a normal brake job. Not trying to make it difficult with over explaining stuff. Perfect video for the new guy's Cheers brother
