Yeah I had to look it up. It looks like they use their random emovement for any type of movement. So yes they go 2d6 or 3d6 etc. "Models with this special rule do not have a normal Movement characteristic. Instead, a dice roll is given (2D6, for example). Whenever a model with this special rule moves (for any reason), roll the dice to determine how far it must move. Models with this special rule move during the Compulsory Moves sub-phase. They cannot march or declare a charge. They can wheel to change direction, but cannot perform any other manoeuvres. If the model is able to make contact with an enemy unit during the Compulsory Moves sub-phase or whilst pursuing, it may do so and counts as having charged. The model aligns against the enemy unit and stops moving. A unit charged in this way must Hold."

@@CreakyGamersit is 2d6 always plus swiftstride if you have it: When a unit makes a pursuit move, pivot it about its centre so that it is facing directly towards the enemy unit it is pursuing and make a 'Pursuit' roll. To make a Pursuit roll, roll 2D6. The result of this roll is the distance in inches that the pursuing unit moves, directly towards the unit it is pursuing.

But the random movement rules contradict that ?

@@CreakyGamersi would swing that the pursuit move itself is from the “pursuit roll”, not a movement roll relating to a characteristic. Swiftstride also says it specifically adds to the “pursuit roll”.

Yeah , I dont know what I was thinking , I needed more combat punch. We had to submit our list 3 weeks before the event , as soon as I submitted my list I thought the NG shaman was a waste of points , oops😳

They are highland miniatures. Yeah I did enjoy the 40 Arrer boys , they look great on the table. I think at 2000 points I can have some more combat support , they will be back 👍

Yeah we lacked a bit of combat punch to deal with the Peg Knights. The boys did their best.

You would think so , but the Pegasus riding characters have 360 degree line of sight 😳 because they count as skirmishes.

Yeah I painted up some and based them for old world but I didn’t like the look of them so I stole their shields for my arrer boys. 😬

it's the skirmishers part. 360degree charges so you can't avoid them, outmanouver them and they can just march over everything and then charge it in the rear the following turn

Yeah I think it’s a different game for them , one side is playing 360 degree charges like in Age of Sigmar , the other side is playing Old World ranks and flanks 🤣

@@sclarke6969 I don't know the current rules but I'd make them very Rare (if that's still a thing with troop choices) and double the points cost.

Why do people play a 'war' game then whinge when the opponent has a 'competitive' list, its lame and weak as hell. Embarrassing actually 🤦

@CreakyGamers S!th happens, and the dice betray us occasionally. Regardless, maximize redirection. If a charge is to be received next turn, a slight wheel might put the enemy out of sorts. Put those characters in a bunker unit and perhaps break the hordes (excepting gobbo fanatics) into minimum standard units with no commands. Make combats too costly with regards to table position. Cavalry hate a fight that gives them no board advantage afterward. Anyhoo, hindsight 20/20. Thanks for the great work. 🍻

Thanks , at home I just use web cams on a boom thingy that comes with microphones etc. But these days I'm just using my iphone camera , the quality is really good and I', making shorter format reports that seem to be easier to edit and more popular. So if you have a decent phone , you can make battle reports look pretty good.

Yeah , fully painted armies on a nice looking table makes the game. I never put unpainted figures on the table.
