I am currently struggling with the BWV 997 Fugue, but if I ever do another Bach Fugue, I hope is this one and in that case I will most likely use your interpretation as a guide, since I really loved it! You and Heather have the best versions in youtube at least for my taste ♥
идеальное звукоизвлечение, 🎶
I keep coming back to watch & hear you play. I admire your talents on Classical guitar and do my sessions almost everyday and I do enjoy my small steps attained. At 82 I have to be realistic on what level I will be able to attain in my lifetime. I think of you often and how you are managing with your cancer which makes me even more motivated to just enjoy EVERY SECOND OF LIFE and be thankful on the place we are in! My regards to you and your family. ❤️🌈👋 My wishes are with you & all your friends & family- always!
i want this to be the last thing i hear before i die.
Браво!
Great performance!
L'arrangement est il disponible ? Merci
The guitarist knows very well the speed which should be given to this song. Million bravo. Plus, his feelings were fabulous. I liked the guitar sound so much. Thanks for uploading.
The guitarist is a super giant artist with excellent technic and and nuance....Million bravo. Plus, i liked the guitar sound either. Thanks for uploading.
Nice👍👍👍
I was trying to use TH-cam to procrastinate, now after watching this I'm going to have to go practise now 😂😂
So restful. These are two of my favorite instruments. Thank you.
Added the right drama and flare that seems to be missing in many of the performances of this piece.
Sentuhan yg indah dlm ketepatan pakem musik Barok ...
Your interpretation matches mine... which I love, of course! :)
wow
A true, sincere, sensitive and restfull timeless rendition of this little gem.
Superb!!!👋👋👋👋
Bellissima esecuzione, molto bravo, complimenti!
If you've got the time and I understand your time is valuable, could you please tell me the name of the guitar you are using. One of your colleagues seems to use one of the same brand and I'm interested in who makes them and where they come from? Many thanks in advance. Mark from Australia. Btw I believe we shared time at Sydney Conservatorium studying under Gregory Pickler, though that was many years ago. I have fond memories of those days. Also you played this fugue very well indeed. You've come a long way. Well done.
Hi there, Mark. The guitar is a Paul Sheridan. Great instruments! When were you at the con?
@@SimonPowis I was there, at the con, in the early 1990s. I've heard great things about Paul Sheridan guitars and, under your fingers, yours sounds great even via TH-cam. I'm still using an old (1971 old) Jose Ramirez which still sounds lovely. I'll keep expecting great things from your channel which continues to excite. All the best, Mark Thaux.
I also think the recording is enhanced. No guitar sounds like this
What a great performance!
Mejor que perfecta interpretación de esta increíble obra de Bach
Exquisite !
Correct me if I am wrong, but the first few notes sound like the beginning of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, where Freddie plays sings "Mama... I just killed a man." Just saying. Freddie was classically trained, so he must have played this piece.
Queen were awesome but they played in other league
Well played
Beautifully played Simon. I love your ornamentations too. Very inventive :)
So good dude. Perfect. Thank you
心が穏やかになる曲です。遥かに青空を触れた透明な美しさ…。素敵な曲を、ありがとうございます♪
Bravo!!!
Yo la estoy viendo en la versión de Jerry Willard es hermosa esta óbra y difícil pero vale la pena felicidades gran ejecución
This is my favorite interpretation of this piece. I really dislike the other intro it feels too choppy
Beautiful! What a SWEEEEEET! guitar, what is the make and model Simon? Regards from the UK.
This is my very favorite performance of this piece on guitar. Your tone, tempo and approach just stunning.
great interpretation and musicality What transcription are you using for Bach? Thanks
This music takes me away to happy places!
Very beautiful and sensitive music.
Wonderful.
La mejor interpretación de ésta pieza que he escuchado.Bravo¡
Muy bonita interpretacion
Simon Powis! good job 😍🎶👏👏

Beautiful
I came here after watching your lesson on voices and its made a lot of sense now.
Great performance
Wonderfull. I find scarlatti pretty hard to play on guitar. I have the Barrueco version here of this piece and im also working on K 322 by Barbose Lima. Somehow the fingerings i find are hard to play. I have a lot less trouble with Bach transcriptions like the one by Teuchert. Simon does this wonderfully, looks like no effort at all, you should (or rather not) watch me trying not to get my fingers all in a bunch on this "slow" piece 😅
I love this edition of the fugue as opposed to the lute version. And of course the execution is flawless.
