Complain complain complain.
Save your money people, then pay to get your cdl at a school. Then look for companies that hire rookie drivers. Schneider, Swift, etc. Get a year or two under your belt, then get with a company that will pay you better.
Prime charges drivers to do laundry in their terminals.......lol. What a racket! Remind me never to work for Prime!
What school do you recommend? I’m about to start somewhere
Depends where you live. Go online, look for an established school in your area. They may let you pay installments.
@ I’m in Texas.
Do they allow a big dog under 50 pounds for OTR driver who wants to stay out? Thank you!
If u have some experienc but have not work in a while how dies tht work meaning do u have to go to the complete traiing or???
Take it sloo then build up
Tht right
Thk u for keeping 100 bra
Dude r u owner opp now or atill withh or solo do they make u drive for owner opp u hrd u not a company driver but a owner opp driver meaning u obly drive for a owner o0p
Can you make a video taking about the camera please
Did you have to share a hotel room with someone else?
@Neptune8 yes... 🥴
@ damn that’s annoying
Congratulations 🎉
Any advice for me, I just got my class A permit, and looking for a company to go with to get my CDL. I was looking at knight, but they don’t allow their trucks to go home with you during home time. So next up I was looking at Pam and Prime. Is prime is ok company, I see they train as in your trainer could be sleeping and the trainee driving is that true? Also can you take the truck him during home time.
@bobbyfallis2897 If finding a place to park your rig is going to be a problem when you're on home time, I would say go with knight. Otherwise, prime is not a bad place to start. Don't lease with any company until you have six months of OTR Solo experience. There's a huge learning curve when you are solo, and the last thing you want to do is put your finances behind the 8ball trying to figure out how to operate your new business. Good luck!
@bobbyfallis2897 Yes, it is true that you share a truck with a trainer at Prime while training, but that's how it works at pretty much all trucking companies when you first start out.
I see if i get into there cdl school tomo so fingers crossed wish me luck
What do you do once your license is reinstated to drive trucks again?
I would not receive them. Too cheap to pay and too cheap to pay for maintenance repairs
Do they have inward cameras bro and are u lease
What company would you recommend.
You definitely did the right thing for sure.
Always check the GPS before heading out...cell phone not for truck routing but it does show traffic jams.
I mean I make 1800 a month right now so as long as it’s close to that at first I’ll be okay lol
I’ve had a very negative experience with Prime myself. FM always sounded like he had his nose in the air and he was better than you. Didn’t keep your best interests in mind. Everyone’s priorities should be the same. First family, second work, and third the rest.
You did the right thing by leaving Prime. Hang in there and good luck. 👍🏻
PAM. Pennies a mile. This is why trucking companies get away with allowing people to work for free. My time is valuable. Orientation is work or considered work. They are taking a tax deduction for their effort of putting on orientation. The least they could do is pay you for your time. Fuck Pam and all those other OTR companies that won’t pay you for your time.
My nigga..knock knock whose there???
Did you ask then how they got sued because they were not paying drivers right look it up
Get ready for modern day slavery.
Whats ur trainers name
Very important topic!
I appreciate the information! Currently doing research on what company to start with. ✌🏾
glad I could help!
I’m curious about the pay for a 1st year driver there? Also, are you getting paid for the training miles?
Yes you do get paid for training miles. its a flat rate I believe its like 900 a week or something like that. check with your recruiter to make sure. Good luck!
@@athomeontheroad can I expect to make at least 1k a week after training consistently?
Do they allow pets on the truck?
please keep sharing!! Me and my boyfriend are doing it to team drive!
thank you for the support, I plan on keeping the content coming for you guys! Good luck to you and your boyfriend!
So do they have u do your urinalysis where u live then bring you to Arkansas or your home town then get there and do again I'm looking into it what's a good recruiter to talk with
Go through driversolution. You'll probably talk to Chad. And if you have the option, go to the C1 training in Missouri. Got nothing but positive things to say about my experience. You'll do a urine test your second day of class, and you can get another random one the time that you're there. The one at the school, people will come to do the urine tests. If you get picked for a random one through PAM, they may tell you to go somewhere near you to get a test done.
No hair test??
i am wanting to do this i think, i am starting my 2nd week of school tomorrow every other company is like 2 weeks or more . i have 3or 4 applications in already. i had my mind set on a certain company but i think i might be reconsidering
Hows it going?
I remember you , met you once at terminal in prime , congrats o. Your baby girl , be safe and enjoy . My daughter was a blessing and now giving me a grandchild, ha ha , congratulations to both of you.
Do they clear your back before they bring you to orientation?
Oh. Its: G MO Riddles and the mysterious trucking conpany.
Thanks for the great content
I might be coming to pam soon as a rookie driver
man i’m here to say bro pam a great company i swear
Don't do pam.
@@jaredtestermantesterman899lack of better words get ya feet wet for rook cdlp then move along to better$ but stay sober forever
How did you get out of the contract with Prime? Did you have to pay money, did your new company pay to get you out? How did that all work?
This was a great video and good insight on what to possibly expect when going to Prime. I'm currently in the process of either going to Prime or another CDL school and some of the things I was curious about you mentioned.
HOLD IT !!!!!!! Prime didn't offer you a pregnancy leave ,, believe it or not you as a dad can get maternity leave & get it , the company cant deny you that time & they can not according to law make you take a lessor paying job or loose a position they must return you to as you left,, I'd go to the NAACP or state labor board & file a complaint & ask for retrusion, you have right to suite
I agree with your decision, time is precious and valuable. The managers attitude reminded me why i said no to Prime. The recruiter was talking to me the exact way. I think Prime has a big head since so many bloggers promote it on TH-cam they are huge in community But that's not the company thats the drivers. But they will regret having that attitude especially with adding cameras. GOD BLESS and congratulations
Does Pam offer a cdl training program like Prime? If so which would you recommend?
That's great that you found a job that works for you so early in your trucking career
glad you got outa there man. been hearing a lot of people getting out of there. What company did you end up going to?
So you dont need 6months to year experience for PAM?
no you only need 3 months of experience to be a company driver
Great advice keep up it u got this .. looking into cdl trucking company and prime seems like a good fit thank u for your helpful tips .. im out at vb ,va so lookinh at pa for training
of course, glad I could help. The PA location is where I went, a really relaxed place. It's the smaller Prime facility so there are fewer distractions. Good Luck!
So do you start to get paid as soon as you get a tnt trainer or after you test and get your cdl or if I have to wait on a trainer will I get paid while im waiting?
