No I think you meant to say it only saves if it has a critical vent. It has to be recording in order to save the event. So it's recording all the time.
Also it saves four days worth of saved full days . So if there's something that it misses the carrier can go back up to four days full video full day. Fyi.
It also has a built-in microphone

Don’t get in accident and make sure you’re doing everything right so a lawyer can’t go after you because they said they will have to turn over the footage if requested
