    Sorry but this sounds crazy to sell your house to live on the RV full time. With millions of people fighting to get into a home along with rising housing prices and interest rates, it will be even more difficult to get back into a house once you get tired of this lifestyle. Most people quit this RV lifestyle after a few years for many reasons. Just remember that every year your RV is depreciating in value while real estate continues to go up in value. For example, say your house is worth 700K and you sell it now. Years down the road when you get sick of this lifestyle and want to go back into a house again, an equivalent house that you want to live in may cost you $1.2M and with an even higher interest rate! On top of that, you now have to pay an even higher property tax just to live in the same kind of house that you lived in before. So unless you got $10M in the bank, this lifestyle is not practical.

    I was going to say something for your shoe storage, but you figured it out. So maybe this idea might be for kid’s toys, or other garments…what about hanging the shoe storage hangers from the ceiling inside the bunks. Trim the shoe storage down to whatever will fit.. Maybe three of four baskets. I was thinking by the shoe size that they’re quite young and probably don’t use the full length of their bunk.s

    Dollar tree school supplies. They have plastic magazine holders great for plates and cutting boards, cans lots of things. They also have shoe hanging thing that works good for shoes, hygiene stuff, and lots of other things. They have hard containers fold up containers. They're plastic placemats are good to put in your frigerator helps with spills. They have really cool containers that are see through with handles that will work good in the frigerator also. They have millions of things that you can do. You just got to think outside the box. And it will save you lots of money. I hope this helps.

    For the hanging shoe rack you could use the 3M velcro & stick to the dresser end & to the rack to secure it. I use them to hang heavier items in our RV. It's pretty durable & doesn't hurt the walls or in your case the dresser end. Good luck.

    Arizona probably has a lot of good options that meet your criteria. You mentioned Prescott which would actually be high on my list for your criteria (we'll be living in Williams soon which is about an hour away) Prescott is definitely bigger than Williams and may be a good mixture of smaller town feel while not being too country with large distances between houses. Prescott definitely gets some snow but not very much and has fairly mild winters. There's also a lot of cool places in southern Arizona to explore. We visited Sonoita a couple of years ago and the high is like 90 and very dry in the summer with very mild winters so that might be a consideration. They have a bunch of vineyards down there and there's tombstone not too far away which is pretty cool. Are you still thinking of starting a glamping business?

    Seniors, we just bought an older (1995) 5'th wheel - we moved upon retirement 350 miles north of our families so we could live on SS alone...families with kids, sports and such, they don't come visit us...we drive down to visit them. So 1'st reason for RV is a mobile hotel room. With stuff going on in world today....it could be possible at some time, we need to pull up/sell and just find a place to live in our RV...I called it primitive camping of sorts, but boondocking is the new term...it would be a challenge for us older folks...but if it came to basic survival...we may all need to know what to do...enjoyed the video and information!

  • @gingerreid8569
    @gingerreid8569 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    We are seniors that moved 350 miles northeast of our families (they are in Houston, Tx.) and they all have families, so no one comes up to see us...we go down to visit them...Hotels are 100+/night...so we decided to buy an RV and got a really old one, but in good shape. It's a 1995 27 ft 5'th wheel...2 owners...we are working on fixing a few things on it...but...the layout is really nice and it has storage galore! I will want to put in some baskets in the cabinets so that things don't roll all over inside...we also bought this with the mindset that, given the way things are in the world today...IF we had to sell and move closer to family...we can live in this full time...always watching RV groups that have storage and ideas we can use!

    It's so good to see you back! I was worried about you guys :) Looking forward to seeing your adventures with the kiddos. You might consider Southern Oregon, near the California border - Ashland is really beautiful. It gets a LOT less rain than the Northern cities of Eugene and Portland. While they do get more winter weather, it's often limited to the higher/mountain neighborhoods. Exploring the natural area is pretty amazing. You can travel along one of the highways towards the coast (my personal favorite is 199 through Selma) or head East and see Crater Lake and the rest of Central Oregon.
