Thank you! I have been watching your videos for a while. Just subscribed. I saw one where you mentioned the brand hose/brush you use, but can't find it now. Would you mind sharing that info again? As a Handyman, I am always looking to expand the services I offer. I did my first cleaning last week, but don't like the idea of using multiple sections of rod, even though what I have seems for be very secure. I know the one you use is not cheap, but I think it will pay off in a short period of time.

I don’t know if this is just me, but I would never do that. I would never stick my hand in there. I am deathly afraid of bugs, spiders, cockroaches, everything.

What do you use to make the vents pop like that? A blower?

Im surprised you dont wear eye protection. I would rather not have a bunch of lint in there.

Why OH WHY would you vent your dryer out the roof? Also using that plastic duct is no good neither!!

If the dryer is downstairs why did the contractor run the vent up and out? Makes no sense esp if it’s on an outside wall.

So, maybe I don't know, but why don't you just disconnect the flex hose, take it outside and shake everything out? How much stuff can be in like 3 or 4 feet of flex hose?

The damper works ,make up a timber frame to mount it too three inch wide would do covers the missing brick and keeps the wild life out!

WAY too much hose, and that flexible stuff is a fire waiting to happen. Not that this whole job wasn't a fire waiting to happen.....

I hate to bash on the owner of the house but if she had properly kept the louvers on that dryer vent outlet that are specifically there to keep birds out of the dryer vent... she would not have had this issue.

How the heck does all that grass or tree stems or whatever that was get in there? I thought maybe there was a bird's nest or squirrel nest in there and was waiting to see an animal come out.

I have neither a dryer nor a vent for it. My clothes dry on a metal folding rack. Dryer plumbing is really not a thing in my country.

Great Advice! I recently received a sectional. I never even thought about NOT using reverse. The reason is obvious now that you say it. That could have been a bad thing! 😅

I live in Japan and my house doesn't have dryer vent, but have to check out other vents or pipes...

I live in Canada and we don't have "crawl spaces" that is accessible from the outside. They are all in the basement or basement type space. I know Way up north, they don't have basements because the ground is too cold to build so all the homes are on stilts. I'm not sure how they have their dryer vent space 🤔 I'm always fascinated when you go into crawl spaces from the outside

I have lived in 2 apartment buildings, and every time I'm drying clothes or towels it takes an extremely long time. A full load of towels takes me about 3 to 5 hours to dry. What can I do? Can I call a dryer guy to come check out the vents and charge it to my landlord?

Right through the wall. Length of pipe is 5 ft from dryer to the wall.
