Every PLANET COASTER Coaster Type in Real Life
We investigate all 56 different coaster types in Planet Coaster, the incredible game that many people consider to be the spiritual successor to RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. What real world rides inspired their designs - or are they actually all fictitious??
All designs in the game shown are my own (except for a few light fixtures).

Every RCT Classic Flat Ride in REAL LIFE
มุมมอง 39K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Sure, flat rides may not be as eye-catching or exciting as roller coasters, but they're the bread and butter of most amusement parks, including those created in RollerCoaster Tycoon. In this video, we examine all of the tracked rides in RCT1 and RCT2 (any non-coaster ride with customizable layouts), trying to figure out what real world rides inspired their in-game designs. *Thanks to drdreadfuk2 for pointing out that the Mini Helicopters more closely resemble the monorails buil...

มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Awards is well known in the coaster community for its highly questionable “Best Coaster” lists. Year after year, enthusiasts lampoon the publication for their incredulous ride placements and blatant North American bias. But has it always been this way? To find out, we analyzed the first ever Top 10 Steel Coasters list released by Amusement Today for their 1998 Go...

What Inspired the Figure 8 Loop in RCT3?
มุมมอง 58K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The Figure 8 Loop on the Hypercoaster is one of the most bizarre elements in the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. Despite looking incredibly unrealistic and nonsensical, it was actually based off of a real life coaster concept. Join me as we take a deep dive into Georg Pötzsch and his insane Figure 8 Loop coaster. SOCIAL LINKS: Instagram (that I rarely use): jnattyboi Twitter (that ...

Essential Roller Coaster History, Episode 1: From Russia With Love (1500's - 1910's)
After watching this, I read up on the park I frequented as a kid, Lagoon, and was honestly surprised that it had quite a bit notoriety in multiple ways. From the nearly century old Miller & Baker's Roller Coaster (colloquially referred to as "The White Roller Coaster" to differentiate it from the other attractions before they stopped repainting it), to Colossus-one of two Schwartzkopt Double Looping coasters left in the states, the relocated Schwartzkopt Jet Star 2, and their recent trend of designing much of their new coasters predominantly in house rather than using third parties.
Yeah this looks insanely wacky. Thanks for covering this!
You forgot the buses, and I think there’s more but idk. If you see this just letting you know.
When I was a kid the 90s, my friend had a VHS tape he got in the mail or from his older brother detailing what to expect that year for things like Wrestling, Monster Trucks, Skateboarding, and Roller Coasters. I wish I could remember who published it. It really was the attitude era.
Hard Rock operated at my local fair in the late 90’s/very early 00’s as you would expect, it was very nauseating!
Hahahaha the Mad Tea Party ride at Disneyland becomes a competition who can spin the fastest who pukes the fastest 😂🤮
9:00 ah yes that one sounds effect everyone who's played RCT dreads hearing lol
6:14 Slide Friction Rollercoaster 1 has crashed!
Ahhhh yeah Big Thunder Mountain
I've ridden the tilt a whirl at holiday world. It's about 45 minutes away from where I live actually.
Is the overbank roll or dive stall on hyperia worthy if the video was made after
Chris Sawyer is so reclusive, hearing from him really is a treat!
Hearing that several coasters I have ridden are now defunct made me a special kind of sad. Thanks. I used to work right next to the XLC coaster in King's Dominion :( At least the Rebel Yell is still there, even if it has been renamed to something else I can't remember right now in the years since. King's Dominion is kinda a mid park, overall, but Rebel Yell is a top-tier wooden roller coaster.
Noway you forgot the giant skyrocket.
6:44 THOSE COLOURS ON LAGOON'S SAMURAI... they remind me of the ones that are on Thorpe Park's Samurai from its 2024 repaint.
And speaking of Thorpe: 16:39 I remember riding Slammer there during my visits.
7:56 This guy really loves movies that he includes The Shining in the examples of hedge maze, not many coaster channels I know who can say that. :)
17:15 my mind immediately thought about Furius Baco ~~
The Octopus ride you mentioned was likely based on the SDC version rather than the Soriani & Moser version, as the SDC version has fixed gondolas like in-game, whereas the S&M ver has freely rotating ones.
23:36 - You're wrong. There is also the high-five roll where two sections of inline twisted track come close enough that the riders can high five the riders in another train.
The coasters in Wild expansion pack looks like something straight out of a cancelled S&S concepts. Also, the guy in red shirt at 5:15 is the GCI co-founder Mike Boodley!
me screaming furius baco at 17:15
the thrill lift system did actually exist at one point, albeit as a k'nex model from 11 years ago. search for "scorpion's tail" from user ryan o'neill.
Every time I go on the mouse bro I feel like I’m gonna die. Everybody like this comment if you agree.
Did you know that by changing the train on Barghest to Rage’s train, it becomes a gurtslauer infinite
The sprint 500 also has different trains in some installments, I like to use the Vector trains for that. What would you suggest for a vekoma? Either MegaLite or Family launch Model?
"At Dutch Wonderland..." My Dutch ass: "Wait what? Wonderland??" "... in Pennsylvania" Oh. 😂
Please cover "every planet coaster 2 coaster types in real life"?
You should cover the rides in added in Planet Coaster 2
15:14 Intamin would eventually construct another full circuit inverted launched coaster in 2018 in the form of a dueling sitdown-inveted coaster in China
Steller editing, especially for a smaller channel. Subbed earned
I can’t believe it’s been 3 years your first video. I’m glad to see you make another video I missed your videos
wow~!!!!!!
11:25 That’s actually a picture of the one in Illinois that I’ve been on. As of right now, it is still very much operational.
It's pronounced "Pötzsch"
Why do you talk like thiiiiiiiiiiiiis
Doesn't make you cooooooooooool
Actually canibal was built by art engineering.
How did this video start with the exact last flat ride I rode?
10:27 - I coaster I’ve actually been on!
Fact modern bobsleds are by mack rides
Part 6 when????
You forgot to mention the defunct Philadelphia Zoo Monorail for the Retro Monorail cars
1:42 What about Steel Phantom (now Phantom's Revenge)?
5:27 You forgot Incredible Hulk's clone at Universal Bejing, China, as well as the other Disney Parks that have the Big Thunder Mountain Railroads
He said before Planet Coaster's release, so Planet Coaster was released in 2016, the Hulk clone in China (Decepticoaster) was opened 5 years later.
1:34 3-4 years later, B&M would build another family invert for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (Phoenix Rising)
"AMAZING visuals" Sure but honestly they didn't age well in my humble opinion:p
Hello! I think if you would like to! I think you should make videos of rct 12&3 stalls and scenery!
We have a wooden turn (metal bobsled ride) in Blackpool pleasure beach UK
The video of this coaster looks sped up it doesn’t help that the video is super old
The rct1 2 across inverted train is the EXACT same train as used on the SLC. So yes, it is just a Vekoma train on the B&M track.
2:23 - 2:29 very scary hangtime reference to me
The Six Flags New England SLC was renamed from Mind Eraser to The Riddler Revenge (no " 's "), and repainted green with yellow supports.
Walibi holland had a machanical bull in the time rct3 launched. Dont know if it is there today, but you can find them in amusementparks.
