Sweet potato 0.065" (1.65mm) slicing on the Urschel® Model E TranSlicer® Cutter
Sweet potato chips is another alternative to potato chips. Due to the elongated shape of the sweet potato, the Model CC is not suitable. Slicing is done on the Model ETRS.
The METRS is suitable for most long and firm products. Slicing the sweet potato on the METRS gives advantage of uniformity. Each slice is uniformly sliced with same thickness from the start to the end, this prevent over or under frying in the continuous fryer. And with the superb engineered knives and best geometry, each slice is perfectly smooth on the surface that reduces surface areas to the minimal avoiding excessive oil take up during frying and uneven seasoning.
