This is my channel consisting of mostly of POV parkrun videos and other noteworthy runs that I have done.
I am 46 and trying to improve my running. I'm not the fastest, but not that slow either.
I will maybe get a bit more developed as I go along in terms of the videos.

The Wammy parkrun 16/11/2024: Autumnal out and back
There is a car park but I somehow missed it and parked on the road.
Nice out and back course. Slightly uphill on the way out, and, therefore, slightly downhill on the way back.
Felt a bit tired and went at tempo pace. Faster than expected with a sub 23.

Haweswater Reservoir 17km run highlights: Lake district trail running
มุมมอง 10321 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Haweswater reservoir near Penrith, Cumbria. Difficult running conditions with very uneven surface. Fine for walking but tough to run. 370 meters of elevation. Barely a single other person around. Very quiet and peaceful.
Cockermouth Greenway parkrun 09/11/2024: Inaugural event #1
มุมมอง 553วันที่ผ่านมา
Event number 1 at Cockermouth Greenway parkrun on 9th November 2024 The course is generally flat, with a slight slope. Total elevation gain was 23 meters. Out and back (twice) along a really nice footpath in Cockermouth. The start is in a residential area with on street parking.
Skipton parkrun 02/11/2024: Beautiful North Yorkshire autumn 5km
มุมมอง 84014 วันที่ผ่านมา
A rare parkrun idiot at 20:52 to 21:05 with his aggressive "keep left" and then swearing at a kid. Here is Skipton parkrun. An undulating 4 lap out and back course. Lovely park in the autumn with all the trees. All tarmac paths. Car park was pay and display and £1.40 for 2 hours.
Southport parkrun 26/10/2024: Sub 23 minute pacer
มุมมอง 49821 วันที่ผ่านมา
Really nice park in Southport. I was the 23 minute pacer. I was about 15 seconds too fast, but I'm blaming it on either my watch not being right, or the course being slightly less than 5k! Tough to pace though because of the windy bits - but I really enjoyed it anyway. This is an "essence of parkrun" because it is a proper, actual park with gates and stuff. Really fun parkrun, enjoyed the pace ...
Greenfield Valley parkrun 19/10/2024: 25 minute pacer at beautiful North Wales 5k
มุมมอง 587หลายเดือนก่อน
Really lovely course. Very scenic and fun to run. I was the 25 minutes pacer today. I decided to run more or less the same pace throughout (the course is an out and back and all downhill on the way out - so obviously all uphill on the way back).

Ellesmere Port parkrun: 21/09/2024. Sub 23 5k on grass, trail and tarmac.
มุมมอง 3202 หลายเดือนก่อน
Remember to like, comment and subscribe! Nice course. Two laps around a small, compact park. Time was 22:47. Fairly flat but difficult because of the surfaces (quite a lot of grass). Quite dry on this run on a nice September day, but probably a mud bath after a lot of rain in the winter. Not a huge parkrun, with 104 runners, but felt friendly and fun. Small free car park (arrive early) and also...

A great parkrun. What I call an essence of parkrun, because it is actually in a park. An urban park. This is a really fun, undulating course. Very nice, scenic park. Some rare interactions at the end of the video! Strava: www.strava.com/activities/12405138038

Thank you for sharing. The Speyside Way is on my bucket list.
@@Buszkraftowski I hope you get to visit. It's a fantastic area!
@@jsb_running Walked already the West Highland Way and the Rob Roy Way. The Speyside Way would be a different experience. And more Whisky Distilleries on the way... :D
This course reminds me of our local one, slight uphill out, then downhill back. Good run JSB.
@stevefrith7283 It is nicer that way! Uphill on the way back is always a struggle! What is your local parkrun?
@@jsb_running Penistone in South Yorkshire. Out and back on the TransPennineTrail.
@stevefrith7283 I'll get to that one soon hopefully!
Thought you were going to the Croxteth 10k yesterday? You would have won.
@marmaliser6481 haha, not sure I would have won, but thanks for the belief! I'll be doing a lot more events like that next year.
Amazing views, thanks for the outing. Sorry to be a pain but you should run on the right hand side of the road so that you are facing oncoming traffic. Please feel free to tell me to **** off.
I did stay on the right on the way back, but there were so few vehicles on that section (and they would be very slow) that it barely mattered even being in the middle of the road. It's such a quiet area. Thanks for watching!
@@jsb_running Love running up there. Isn't there a half marathon at Haweswater?
@@stevefrith7283 yes, I believe there is. It starts in Bampton and it's an oiut and back just on the tarmac side of the reservoir.. I would be interesting in doing it. Just googled it...it's in March, so I'll set a reminder for myself and probably do it in 2025.
@@jsb_running My wife's birthday. And a special one. Ah well.
Looks very narrow for an out and back course. I think dogs on leads and buggies should be excluded , like they are at Nant y Pandy for example.
@mojofitz I agree, and they probably will end up doing that. I'm guessing most weeks, they won't have big numbers turn up, and it will be easier.
Looks like a big turnout for the first one 👌 Thanks for sharing 👍
Great that another Parkrun has started but looks too narrow for an out & back.
@@davidbriers3947 I agree that's a concern with this course. I can imagine some accidents happening. It is narrow.
Very beautiful place to explore by running. I'm 64 yrs, live in Thailand, start running one year before and now get 6/km pace. Happy to watch your video.
@@Hayata-s5c thanks for the comment! Well done on your running, that's great going! Keep it up.
Nice vid 👍🏻
Great work with the pacing 🏃🏼♂️➡️ and super speedy uploads 👍
Good job. I'm looking to be a pacer at my local Parkrun soon. I can imagine it's tricky to get it spot on, especially if the course runs a bit long.
@doingmybest6438 Yes, especially when it's a parkrun you've not done before, that's what makes it harder. Not knowing if it's going to be slightly short or long. I think it's better to be under than over, though.
Wales looks so lovely, I must visit one day. I like the info on the left of the screen. Cheers!
@goodyeoman4534 absolutely, definitely worth a visit!
Lovely video! Not as lovely as the hill back up to the finish…. 😂
@1_bowerworld Thanks! I'm glad I came, it is one of my favourite parkruns, I think. Really lovely course and everyone was very enthusiastic!
@@jsb_running yeah im fairly regular there being local but pushing the buggy doesn’t make it easier 🤣 well done on your time 👏🏻
@1_bowerworld wow, doing it with a buggy would be tough going! I don't think I've got the strength for that 😅 well done doing that!
Brilliant! Well done! The whole last 5k was pain time for me 😂 I watched your video to see where you overtook me but I couldn’t spot myself!
@@capitaldidi where did you finish? Well done also, it was a great run!
@@jsb_running Thanks! It was my first run in the UK and yeah, the ambiance was fantastic. Oh...only 949 out of 1169 hah. But I managed to beat my 10k PB by almost 2 minutes so I was happy.
@capitaldidi that's what is great about running. There is always someone faster and always someone slower. So never compare to other people, we are all competing only against ourselves! A two minutes PB is amazing! Great job!
@@jsb_running thanks for your kind words ☺️ see you at the next one 🙂

Are you doing the Croxteth Park Movember 10k in November?
@marmaliser6481 I didn't know about the Movember run. Thanks for the reminder! I have run Croxteth Hall before, but not since I started this channel, so it would be a good one to do.
Surprisingly squelchy when you first run on the grass.
@@doingmybest6438 it was a little wet, but okay. It will probably get really muddy throughout the winter!

Well done again! I’m the guy who scan you :) Hopefully I’ll be running next week.
Thanks for volunteering! Really enjoyed the run. Hope to do it again someday!
Great video! How much running per week to go sub 23?
@pikachu-ww2ym I currently run about 75km a week, which is more than you need to go sub 23. I'm aiming for 19! But...it really depends on your current pb, age, weight, current mileage etc. Maybe 30k a week for sub 23....but, it depends.
Good running one day you will be stasified
Hey mate, great video. What camera are you using? Does it feel heavy on your head?
@pikachu-ww2ym I'm using the insta360 go 3. It's good because you can remove the camera from the pod and it's light. It only has about 30 minutes battery that way, but that's fine for parkrun.
what is your weekly training sir, you are amazing!
@cadethonorcode8213 I'm not sure about that, but thanks! I'm currently running every day. About 75km a week. I'm trying to get that higher also! I do a long 25k run on Sunday and intervals on Wednesday. Everything else, I run mostly slow (zone 2) except parkrun on Saturday (threshold pace). Sub 45 is achievable for a lot of people if you follow a good plan.
@@jsb_running Thanks! I will do that workout, hopefully I can run Sub 45 like you.
@cadethonorcode8213 Good luck. You can do it for sure! Build up to more miles over time. Don't do it in one go to prevent injury.
Good effort. It's a tough course there.
@sertyuik It's close with Watergrove, but I think this one is maybe tougher.
Well run.Used to go there quite often. Nice place.
Really nice. I've never been before. Glad it wasn't raining anyway - it was tough enough without mud!
Just ran a 49:05 10K race last week. Sub 45 is my next goal for the next one. Thanks for the inspiration.
@JarredDavidson thanks for watching! Well done on the 49:05. Keep going. You will get the sub 45!
Great running!!! 5k @ 22 and 10k @44.13 - didn't loose anything really in the 2nd half. Any of the guys around you help maintain focus at any stages?
@keithbowden4248 Thanks! Yes, I think it definitely helps having all those runners around. I felt afterwards that I probably couldn't do that time, just running on my own. Sticking to a group helps with pacing, and it gives a psychological boost that kind of drags you along. I would say it definitely helps with focus, especially going into the second half.
The Isis Pizzeria at the other end of town is great. Possibly the best cheese burger I've ever had. 😋
I love a good arcade 👌
Great keep it up
Congrats on the PB that is insane, wish I had your heartrate at the pace, if i ran that pace my heartrate would be in the high 180s
That was some good endurance. Well done sir!
@olooalfredo Appreciated, and thanks for watching! I'm still recovering now, I think 😆 On to the half marathon for the next pb attempt in October
@@jsb_running my support you have. Go ahead

We've stayed in Barmouth the last few days. Will likely come next year and run this route!
It is a really nice route - lots of great views from the beach to the mountains. Definitely recommend you give it a go when you're back in Barmouth! I don't think I passed a single other person going towards the neolithic site, so it was very quiet and peaceful!
This is so awesome to watch, cheers!

Who else paused it at 0:09 to see if that woman didn't have shorts on? She has a very nice....um....you know what i mean
The stats look sooooo fuckin cooool 🔥🔥🔥
Look at the good little folk trying to keep up the pace
Keep it up
Something is off with your pace at the beginning. That was never a pace of 4:40' ish. And thats no front from my site, totally not, but it looked slower and when i realized how fast the meters went up, i was like nah. I dont know what it is. But you manage to run 10 meters in like literal seconds. Like really. 10m = 1,2sec or so. That does not happen. Even a 10m in 2seconds would be a pace of 3:20min. Something does not add up. Just as a hint.
It didn't quite sync properly at the beginning for whatever reason, but it settled down after about 0.5k
That looks very hard - well done!
Interesting run. I will add that one to my to do list. I thought the Run Director's voice had a familiar sound to it (being from Sholver myself) and the terrain looked kind of familiar. 😂
