This whole Brawl For All debacle shows how sorry of a “writer” Vince Russo really is. He’s such a creative genius (or so his fans & followers want us to believe) but he couldn’t come up with some kind of gimmick or storyline for Bart after this?He couldn’t repackage him as Triple G or 3-G (Golden Gloves Gunn), make his finishing move a massive KO punch (it worked for Big Show and Lacy Evans), give him an IC title run, or even a Hardcore title run to capitalize on his BFA win?? GTFOH! Eric Bischoff and Jim Cornette talked about Russo’s “crash TV” thought process and how it had little or no complete start-to-finish storylines or concepts, and this is a prime example of that ...

Why didn't anybody show concern about injuries BEFORE the tournament started? As far as Butterbean goes , he was very well known by wrestling and boxing fans alike. Yes he was a gimmick boxer , but he was a PROFESSIONAL boxer. Jim Ross , Jim Cornette and Bruce Pritchard was just pissed off and distraught because their hero Dr. Death Steve Williams was knocked cold by Bart Gunn. Especially Ross who was all excited about the brawl , and telling everyone with ears how Dr.Death could walk through a brick wall , and would just plow through this tournament. I just would like to see all this blame being thrown around stopped. My felling is their opinion would be different had Williams won. P.S. Show Eric Butterbean Esch some respect for once.

Exactly I remember watching it even as a kid and going WTF..... The most confusing part was they didn't even say it was a "shoot" they just kinda introduced a boxing tournament in the middle of a wrestling show with no build and no top guys... So everyone thought it was fake but then if so what was the story??? Well there was no story because it was a shoot but they wouldn't admit it...So why??? Because Russo and Idiot that's why....

I loved the Brawl For All, it proved who the marks were (Steve Williams) and who were the underneath guys who needed to be elevated. Bart Gunn shined and should have been treated better. Cornette is clearly still bitter that his hero was knocked out.
