Coffee Truck Build Out with Dapper Brews
What a treat to help build out this truck for coffee on-the-go! This project was a fun challenge figuring out how to build out cabinetry to hold all the parts and pieces for a mobile coffee bar. I've done some overall commentary on approach and build - take a look at the final result!

Making Knife Scales for DiResta Knife / Olive wood and Walnut
มุมมอง 4642 ปีที่แล้ว
I ordered a DiResta Knife and wanted to make some scales, so this is showing my first venture into shaping knife scales. I used Olive Wood and Walnut to make the scales and applied them with epoxy from West System. It was a fun project! Many learning opportunities and takeaways to apply on the next project. DIY Custom Reclaimed Barn Wood Sign with LED Lights
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Authentic barn wood with a new lease on life as a LED-backed sign. I like the rustic nature of the wood against the bold colors of the LEDs. This is a DIY tutorial where you learn step-by-step my thinking and approach. Remember that you don't NEED barn wood to make something like this. Use what you have, or find something new and make it look rustic. Either way, the process can be similar and t...

Acrylic and Gold Leaf Painting // DIY Art
มุมมอง 1622 ปีที่แล้ว
I wanted to experiment with a painting technique I've seen across a few channels, using a canvas to let the paint run off the edges to create natural swirling shapes. I created two pieces with this technique and then applied some gold leaf to highlight the natural patterns that emerged. This is a very easy do-it-yourself project - all you need is a canvas, paint that is thinned, and some gold l...

Transforming an underutilized formal dining room into a game room/lounge/home office - Part 3 - building doors and shelves for the custom cabinets. Solemn Oath Brewery Snowflake // Community Tree 2020 // DIY Plywood Snowflake

I wasn't going to film this originally, but decided to capture just a few frames of this quick project. Make your own Dice Tower // Scrap wood from the attic!
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A dice tower is a handy tool for your various games that require many dice. It shakes, rattles, and rolls them down the tower chute to the tray below, keeping them contained on the table. This dice tower was made from a piece of red oak that was found in the garage attic. It was a surprisingly nice piece of lumber - I milled it up into planks and constructed the dice tower with mitered corners ...

      They were all 4' x 8' sheets of plywood, and I just tried to maximize the overall shape of the desk to use as much of each sheet as possible.

    • @DevinTrierMaker
      @DevinTrierMaker 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Think it was poplar - if you go about something like this, look for a wood which will hold up to elements better like teak or cedar. This was a good proof of concept but I'd love to remake it something more suited to outdoor elements.

      I figured out the grid spacing using Illustrator, but ultimately drew the grid with pencil on the plywood. So no paper pattern used, just some prep thinking and a trusty straight edge.

I would suggest a cheap harbor freight bandsaw but with a quality blade from a welding supply house. I have use that set up for years cutting 6" x 6" x 1/2" angle iron all day long. Works great.
