I still need to jump back in and do the Shattered Space dlc. This game has consumed so much of my time since its launch. Actual achievement friendly creations is a very good thing. I'll get back to Starfield over the holidays, hopefully.

Same missions, same layouts, over and over again...

Still freezing on menu entering save... still no fix. Also, now freezes while driving the vehicle.

Ive been cloud gaming starfield on quest 3 and its amazing. I accidentally picked up a piece of paper in the UC building in the commercial district of new atlantis and i got a bounty wasnt asked questions straight up arrested taken to some other galaxy on some moon of some planet and i was blackmailed into working as an undercover agent for the UC infiltrating the crimson fleet. I wanna get back to constellation once im done with delgado

Love StarField just wish the Devs gave the Xbox game as much attention as they seem to give only to steam and PC.

It’s not the worst DLC ever, but it’s not the best. I am a Starfield enjoyer, but yeah, there are some missed areas here and in the base game. Andreja needed more dialogue, some brand new weapons would’ve been nice (not just reskinned versions of other base weapons), and the story was kind of a miss when it comes to choice/consequence. The enemy variety was nice and I enjoyed the exploration. Dazra was beautiful. I liked the lore tidbits we got (the Chunks franchise was funny/interesting lol). Overall, I’d give it a 6.5, maybe 7/10 on a good day. I’ll replay it again for sure on my next playthrough, I enjoyed it enough and it has some good aspects.

Regardless what they do for the game the game will always be garbage simply because the base game mechanics overall is garbage. There is no way you can improve on a turd. A turd will always be a turd no matter how you like to dress it up.

7:10 they have a community management team, it just is awful. They're overzealous in moderating their discord to the point of being a bizzaro thought police where any criticism is shouted down, and it's the same team that went into the steam reviews and left all those form letter replies which again were pretty much thought police steps of denial of criticism. So weird to see that in a video game company but nothing makes sense anymore. They could really learn a thing or two from a studio like Coffee Stain.

I hope they fix the Graphics issues with missing textures

The biggest issue of the game was never even acknowledged so its a lost case to me. The 2nd Mine I entered in a game was same copy of 1st Mine I was in. Thats just total incopetence. If u proceduraly generating it, at least make sure that if (A) was visited, than next time it swaps for (B) and (A) is shifted at the end of the queue... And make more assets so it does not repeat so fast. They never adressed it, never made more assets. Its game over. Press R for eat does not cut it...

They should’ve focused on the base game… this dlc is an abomination. I’m a huge fan of Starfield. I always thought the devs were going to continually update the poi’s and everything making it different every so often… but sadly they gave up on the best part of the game, the expeditionary gameplay. The dlc only has ONE mission board and it’s only tied to the base game, nothing in the quest provides replay ability it just ends like the crappy nuka world ending in fallout 4. Very very sad man, cause now this game is a lost cause.

I thought that shattered space was the poorest faction quest. Since completing shattered space I have completed the crimson fleet quest and found it much more interesting. The United Colonies faction quest remains the best faction quest.

I stopped playing this game because of seeing the same points of interests and enemy lair layouts (caves, dungeons etc.) over and over again. The radiant quests were all very barebones and meaningless. Powers were interesting, but it was too tedious to try and max out. I assumed those issues would be improved, since these issues all seem like they would be simple to solve, but they were never even addressed.

I was surprised that completing the DLC's main quest doesn't impact entering the Unity when you get little blurbs about the consequences of your actions.

It can't be a disappointment if I didn't have any expectations to begin with.

Scaled citadel disappearing was sad especially because I missed that legendary varuun helmet and I've been wanting one 🤦‍♂️🤣 oh well but yeah that was dissapointing because it was cool looking building to explore!

It is strange BGS did this when you consider how their games normally work. I also wonder how all the designers feel about having the hours upon hours of development work just get nuked at the end, for no real reason. It isn't changing how the game works or any story content. If anything it just falls into the category of removing POI and hand-crafted elements that the game has been panned for not having. Just a really weird thing to do all around. BGS will probably not change this, so I only hope that a talented modder will and add the NPCs back to the world space. Not holding my breath on that though. I think BGS have failed to understand their fan base with this game, and the reason why talented individuals mod games.

My disappointment is it won't load past the initial space station level. As soon as I enter the pathway to the first quest, it's game over. I've deactivated a load of mods, but to no avail... any ideas anyone?

The vortex enemies you're fighting on your way up to help anasko are NOT the ones you just released. The vortex enemies you're fighting are those varuun peoples that were caught in the citadel when the vortex blast happened, and they changed...just like those on the starstation. 😮 That is why you're fighting them. They have NOTHING to do with those vortex warriors you helped vanasko release.

Nah. I'm sorry but the only thing I wanna hear from a developer of a bad game is an apology. We don't care if you worked hard. All of us work hard every day but we don't all work in multimillion dollar gaming studios and we don't all turn out piles of shit for results. All these whinging Ubisoft and Bethesda employees should quit - they're obviously not good or tough enough for the role. There's a million of us out here who could and would do a better job.

The Creation Engine just doesnt allow them to fix the issues pointed out in thr criticism. It will remain a buggy menu scrolling chore to fly in space until they bin the engine and build a new one from the ground up. Adding any sort of content is problematic as anything the add leads to double the time trying to get rid of the bugs it creates.

I like many did NOT expect fallout in space! BUT it is actually way more like fallout than I ever expected. The whole Starfield universe is like a collapsed society like fallout. Technology like phones, communication, even the wheel is missing is this future society. Yet the world lore gives no explaination why society are generally unhappy & struggling to survive with very low population numbers. The world lore tells us that the goal was for the art & culture of the human race to spread across the universe. So why in game is there no art, culture or architecture anywhere in the universe? It just generic NASA like stuff everywhere - except for one cyberpunk city, one star wars city and one maybe star trek inspired city. The issue is that there is no immersion in the game. The world lore is shallow and does not match the art design/location designs. The writing is very weak, especially the main constellation questline. And the exploration is fragmented. Technically it may be impossible to create a high mod-able game without it being fragmented with loading screens. I could put up with all the loading screens if the game world & story lines were interesting, engaging & immersive. But sadly BGS have no experience or any skill in science fiction writing

Saying people "expected fallout in space" and dismissing the most vocal critics based on that is disingenuous. They didn't expect fallout in space. They expected a good game and there are serious fundamental problems with Starfield and that those problems are essentially being dismissed by the developers and weren't addressed at all by the DLC is a valid reason to abandon the game as many have. Personally i hope they do recover it and pull another Fallout 76 redemption out of the shell of a game it is currently, because the shell does have potential, but their deflections don't make me optimistic and I don't blame people for abandoning it.

Bethesda really needs to take a step back and realize they can't keep using their same old playbook, they need to improve.

some people can just never be satisfied. those who bashed Skyrim a decade ago now say it's a modern classic. tbh the hate bandwagon is pathetic. they are all hypocrites and you watch, a decade from now those same people will hail Starfield as a groundbreaking masterpiece.
