Agreed. Starfield so far is just the framework for countless DLCs is my belief, based on what we've heard Bethesda's own people say in interviews. Bring it on.
The only thing I want them to add is space to planet travel without a loading screen maybe even selecting where you land and watching your ship go to the planet and land. And I could’ve swore when the game was being advertised. It said you can assign crew members to research projects That would be nice.
you don't need planetary travel in starfield. it's got plenty of gameplay without. I could care less for it, there's space games out there offering exactly that but not much more. people playing those games like to point out starfield doesn't have it, sure. I'd rather have a multiplayer server, could be fun to build (or destroy) things together. there's mods to assign crew members in your outposts to tasks. try mods, they will make this game so much better. it's open source nature is one of the best things about it.
@@5pacecake I agree, I don't need seamless space or planetary exploration either, I don't think it adds that much, is a ton of work, and many would want to be able to skip it. It's a nice to have. That said, I don't need multiplayer either. For me, I just want bounty hunting, cooler companions, and outpost building fleshed out way more and a much darker plot and some murder mysteries and I'm set
@@brichardson7884 I would also see multiplayer as a nice addition. building or destroying outposts together on an online server would be really cool. would not think of trading the freedom we have now in our single player campaign though. and yes, yes, YES to more fleshed out outposts! I've been thinking about going full modifying and learn creation kit but my laptop can't handle it well..😅
My thoughts exactly. I have over 2100hrs in game with 31 NG+ and yes there were flaws on release and I do think it was rushed. But I will also defend the work Bethesda has put into making it complete the past year. I get shit all the time for a positive opinion. At the end of the day I’m the one that’s responsible for my personal time playing any game and could not give a f*** less what anyone else’s opinion is on what I like. It’s literally that simple. I think what all Bethesda's games do is provide depth & focus in some ways, & a broad scope & scale in others. I don't actually believe it's impossible to strike a balance, & Bethesda's formula just happens to be to my liking. If you compare the numbers, vanilla starfield has just as many quests, interactive npcs, items/weapons etc. as vanilla skyrim. It just then has 1000+ worlds with effectively infinite individual spaces, IN ADDITION TO that handcrafted experience.
What's sad and interesting is that when this comes out and people inevitably try it again there's the possibility the common perception will change and people will laud all these 'changes' that were there all along (though to be fair there have been a number of really good updates between launch and DLC launch). People just weren't interested in giving the game any kind of a chance when it first came out. Just comparing it to Baldur's Gate 3 and shitting on it.
There are nearly 6million active players still playing starfield a year later (thats the 30 day count). People like to point at Steam numbers, but they need to check any active player counter that covers all formats.
@@RandomWandrer exactly what I keep telling others, how are you gonna judge the player count based off of only steam when this isn't even a steam exclusive to pc, like most games are, 6 million players still in a yr old singleplayer is crazy, most singleplayers can't even hit a million, after a yr
What I really want to know about is the mods I have so many mods in play right now that my ship is essentially a flying City I had to make my ship so high up at the base so that when I land at places like new Atlantis I don't become one of the buildings in the skyline it's ridiculously huge I want to know if this game is going to break our mods
Just looks like a bunch of people who really believe in what they're doing, listening to fan feedback, taking their time, & trying to deliver something pretty special to the playerbase. Bring it on.

I can’t wait for Shattered Space. No matter what anyone else’s says, I think this will be an awesome step forward and view into a broader universe

Idk how anyone could possibly enjoy more than like 50 hours in starfield. Its flaws are glaring, and on top of that its super boring.
No. It doesn't.
My god. Have some self respect and stop simping for Bethesda's specific brand of mediocrity. 🙄
