I can't believe it's already been a year... I love this game yes like any game there will always be bumps in the road, but that's also adds to some interesting things happening. I'm glad I have played this since day 1 and plan on playing for a long time. Can't wait to see what happens in the next year.

First 6 months were horrible but the last 6 were good. It wasn’t enough to call it a good year imo but as long as they keep steadily improve the game it will be good
What choices? Outside of going predator or microbe what choice do you have in the game. You can’t choose to arrest Hope for his whole soil scheme and the game forces you to join the crimson fleet.
@@PlayerJay425 SPOILERS. You can choose to protect Vladimir & whoever else is on the eye, or the artifacts & whoever else is at the lodge. There's also a semi-hidden choice to save everybody. You can choose to side with the Hunter, or the Emissary, or neither towards the end of the main quest. You can choose to take down the Crimson Fleet or stitch up Sysdef & join the fleet. You can of course choose to ignore Sysdef & leave the fleet well alone. You can choose to accept Ron Hope's bribe or kill him. You can choose to unleash the microbe or the Aceles. You can choose to cross the Unity or remain in your current universe. Those are the main quest & major side quest choices, as far as I can remember. In my memory (& it has been several years since I played these other games) that's quite a lot more agency than the player had in any FO4 or Skyrim main or faction questline.

The sniper rifle was fixed a while ago, I played that exact mission about a week ago and it had no issues. Also seemed to be the strongest sniper rifle in the game.
I enjoyed starfield, got over a 100 hours of gameplay out of it - and at times, it was a great experience. I don't get the hate some people have for it, did it miss the mark? Hell yes. But it's still a decent experience.
I only got this game out of curiosity really. I was initially a bit confused by it as it was so different to other BGS games i've played (FO4, 'Rim, Oblivion) all of which I've really liked/loved. But it grew on me to the point where I think i've actually averaged over 1hr played every day.... (Which is actually mad considering how busy life is!) What i see here is a pretty decent game, with vast potential.
I always really liked the handcrafted side content in BSG games, so all the proc-gen stuff just feels off. When given the choice between scale and focus, I prefer focus.
@@Sue_Me_Too you don't have to choose here though, that's how i see it. There are hundreds of quests of varying depth & scale, hundreds of named npcs. Multiple deep gameplay systems. & then there's an effectively limitless amount of procedural real estate, just because! I don't think one detracts from the other. I think they need to add large handcrafted areas on some planets though. That was sorely missing. It sounds like Shattered Space is going to address this. Never seemed right that there's New Atlantis, & then just wild nature in every direction.

Criminally underrated! I’ve loved the game since day one and I’ve played just a few hours over 250 (can’t believe I’ve spent over 10 days worth of time in the game!). Really excited for Shattered Space and to see where the game’s lore and universe goes in the future.
It’s no more a “waste of time” than any other game. If someone finds it fun, it’s not a waste of time at all. Sorry you didn’t like it, but it’s time to either try it again or move on and spend your energy doing something you like instead of ripping a game you don’t like online.

A year later and i still think this game has been the biggest downgrade in Bethesda's game selection since... ever honestly. Mods and the DLCs are nice and all but i feel like there is no real saving this one. Especially when it came out around the same time as BG3. The shooting feels okay but everything else either makes no fucking sense or its railroaded af, they didnt want their players to miss anything cause they knew that this game was not as replayable as their older ones. Glad it lived past a year but as far as im concerned Starfield is worth a playthru if you turn off your brain and get it on a giga discount for like 10 bucks.
Starfields definitely a banger, my favorite Bethesda game, no cap over this way..
I'm having a great time playing Starfield. The addition of the Rover and creations has been fantastic.
Right, if they keep making these quality of life changes, it's going to be crazy

AAA games that cost $200 million to make shouldnt have to rely on mods within 1 year of the game dropping to be considered "under rated"
