True high pressure aeroponics cannabis and low pressure aeroponics in white containers grow
This is an old grow, you can tell by the old LED lights! The back part I used high pressure aeroponics. I hooked up a larger solenoid with pvc because I thought it would be better to have a larger output. Nope it was bad. Every time it would open the pressure would move the pvc pipe. I never did a setup like this again. Now I keep everything to 3/8th and 1/4” OD tubing. Notice how high pressure ages the plant quickly and that’s why they are miniature trees!
The white lids are low pressure aeroponics. Notice how bushy they are? They grow just like hydroponics. The LEDs I got all off Amazon and the back I had a ceramic metal halide 315.

    I have a mistaking ultimate pump which can run 24 nozzles at 125psi. What is the reason for the accumulator?

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@AffinityPhoto the accumulator tank is so the pump can shut off and let the passive energy inside the tank continue pushing out nutrients until it reaches a lower pressure triggering the pump to turn on again. Saves on electricity, heat and equipment. Plus a pump builds up to pressure each time the solenoid opens and produces different sized droplets. The tank has a lot of back pressure ready to give a consistent droplet size each time the solenoid opens.

    Hello, if I use the accumulation tank, how often and how long does the pump work per day?

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With the accumulator tank the pump is only going to turn on shortly for less than ten times a day. But that’s a ballpark figure because it truly matters on how much liquid your using on the other end. With 1-3 seconds of spray going off every 3-5 minutes you’re not going to go through a 4 gallon accumulator tank in a day. The pump will turn on to keep that 80-100 psi consistent but it’s not for long.

      Have a tee setup with a valve between the tank and the solenoid. Open the valve slowly and drain the tank. Make sure you have a pressure relief valve somewhere on the tank if you can.

      @AeroponicGrowers 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t run the tanks higher than ~100 psi. The pressure switch is at 80-100 psi so the pump shuts off. I think most tanks aren’t even rated for 100 psi…. Oops 😬

    why do you keep solenoid within 2 feet? can you please explain

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It keeps the pressure inside the tubing consistent when it opens. It’s more for when using multiple solenoids. Plus that tubing is warming up the nutrients to room temperature while they sit. Someone taught it to me a long time ago and there may be more significance to it than what I’m saying. If I remember correctly I will come back to this !!

    Thanks for sharing all your content about Aeroponic, i’m making my own High Pressure System with all the videos and subject i found and mainly from you ;) I learned there is no perfect way to go, i wanna keep my pressure level about 80 PSI Max because more would use a lot more the component mainly with 150 PSI water pump and also use a 60 microns pre filtering maybe less and can be washable to prevent the 5 Microns Sediment filter, i maybe use a bad company filter but i rather think 150 microns bag is not enough for me ( my sediment filter last 2 months and then no more for a 6 month life use ) also i used Advanced Nutes and additives with also coco medium in small net pots. The nozzle are also a bit difficult to find the ones who last « forever » i would say Tefen Nozzle but wanna hear what you are using in HPA. Cheers

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The nozzles Tefen uses are an old patent that any nozzle company can make. They just don’t advertise them. But you have to buy a lot of them usually. I wouldn’t use a 5 micron filter with any nutrients because that’s just too small I find. It’s good for clear water. I might of used one in this video, if so you don’t need it.

    • @jay-dbringolo1176
      @jay-dbringolo1176 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you very much for your answer, i figured out a bit later my comment that indeed Tefen nozzle are outdated and i heard some got bad adjustments in the series process Maybe 10 or 20 microns would be cool enough to let minerals solutions going through without clogging really fast I searched also for Air Atomized Aeroponic as it’s more effective, and the nozzle are more tolerant since the holes are bigger even if it need some filtration, i would like to do dual fluid and test some variations of air/water pressure sets, what your ideas/experiences on that?

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jay-dbringolo1176 watch my videos on air atomized nozzles. They’re the best way to go for precision and getting “true high pressure aeroponics” because of the air and liquid combination. Versus just spraying nutrients into the container. I went on a journey finding a small and quiet enough air compressor for a bedroom. The best was a home brewing compressor. California air was a good compressor until it broke quickly. I just ordered the head of the nozzle and not the mounting hardware to save some money. One nozzle can be $60-100+

      @jay-dbringolo1176 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, thanks for your time for answering 🙏 I honestly had to wait a little bit before purchasing all the things for HPA, i got some problems with cheap nozzles at the beginning then i had problem with the automatic switch on the seaflo pump which is not owned anymore by this company but rather a Chinese one, on the box i got a bypass but on the pump inside you clearly see it’s non existing, then order new 12v switch, it was the same shit, no easy to find, like it’s outdated, the funny thing is that even with decent 230V switch i got a serial error on the mobile 1/4 Female entry which is not sealed properly, it’s leaking water very easily above the nut lol, even if I understand well the concept i can’t give anymore credits to it, i make clones with different set up and it seems DWC is better suited for me, HPA is good but it lack oxygen, when i look at the price of AAA it’s quite fair, one Vevor compressor 9L and oiless and some fitting with a nozzle ( I find for example one for 30 bucks) but you know Aliexpress it can be good or bad :) The idea is to have a single nozzle that spray just the time it need to carefully protect the compressor and to carry enough moisture in the root chamber. I know Siphon nozzle use quite air per minute so don’t wan’t to heat to much my gear as it seem to be the weak spot of this technic. Thanks again ;)

    Awsome way to do it ! I imagined you would tell the same idea as mine (which is drain also but...)... but nope. I (CLAM IT haha xD) came up with this idea: Reservoir is sealed (using just a submersible circulating pump instead of airstone) Have 2 air/water proof bulkhead connections for the reservoir 1 for feeding (standard setup - at the bottom if needed) 1 for the auto pressure equalisation (at the top and not dipping into solution) * Have "drain-to-waste" container, sealed. Have 2 air/water proof bulkhead connections at the top * Lastly have your root-chamber drain spot-on for suction (or tube touching the bottom where waste accumulates) Connect root-chamber drain to "d-t-waste" container. Connect "d-t-waste" container to Reservoir top. * When ever the Pump works, the reservoir pressure will change it will become lower than the root chamber which is normal (does not need to be air proof) The accumulated waste will be sucked in the "drain-to-waste" container and all sealed containers/reservoir will be pressure equalised again. I'll try it my self when I can, and tell you about it. It's for micro grow space if we can't drain under the root chamber.

    When you first put them in the jar do you put a humidity pack too? Or just weed alone till fully finished?

    • @AeroponicGrowers

      Only weed by itself with a gap of air at the top. Your goal is to get the moisture from the stem to go into the bud slowly.

    Do you use this system much? Does the drain system work well? I've been racking my brain on how to setup my recirc setup, and debating vs pump like this or gravity with 4 inch bulkheads. Does the 1/4 clog with roots?

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a good system for growing 4-6 plants about 2-3 feet high. I don’t use this system anymore unless I’m making it for clones. I find the bigger 64 gallon commander totes with the hip roof the best. I don’t do aeroponics in small tents anymore because controlling temps is too much of an issue. I do drain to waste, so my roots are stuck to the lid of the container and around misters by the end. The 1/4” will clog. I’ve used screens before to hold roots off the bottom of a container.

  • @briangraham910
    @briangraham910 ปีที่แล้ว

    Love your videos...I am wondering about your drain. Are you pumping the drained water back into the reservoir? I am confused because if, for example your drain is 10 inches above ground, to drain with gravity, you would have to have the water level in the reservoir lower than the drain.

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers ปีที่แล้ว

      I mainly due drain to waste. It takes a couple days for the liquid to build up and then I just drain it out. In the beginning when your making the clones and first roots, you can use the bottom of the grow chamber as the reservoir. Have the drain tubing go to the input side of the pump. Some of my other videos I show how I put valves inline to suck out nutrient’s and put them in reservoirs etc. Whatever level of water you have in one container will equal the same height in the other container if there are no valves holding the water. If my container is 10 inches above ground I can only drain around 9 inches into a reservoir. Learn drain to waste so that you’re keeping everything going one direction and sterile. You want your roots to be like a sponge full of water if you squeezed them but not dripping wet. I get roots growing on the lid and sides, they will find the water. When people leave to much water on the bottom the roots shoot down and become hydroponic roots. You want really bushy root balls.

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say 4 buckets of you’re using 2 nozzles per bucket. I had a lot of difficulty with making 5 gallon buckets into HPA. The buckets heat up fast. But if I just ran the system low pressure it worked.

      @@AeroponicGrowers Why would the buckets heat up?

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MrLeonfs since they don’t have a lot of space for air inside the outside temps in the tent or grow room rapidly increase the temps. If the roots are touching the sides they heat up fast too. I went as far as running a chiller on the nutrient line but they heat back up again waiting inside the tubing to spray. The bigger the container the more room you have for variables.

    Hey there, if you want to recover the excess water from the mist, how do you build the system back into the tank? Would Air be a problem? If so, how do you prevent it from entering your system? Thx

    • @AeroponicGrowers
      @AeroponicGrowers ปีที่แล้ว

      I use a “bulkhead” on the bottom of the container with the container lifted so the water will drain. Or on the side and have it lifted in the back so the water flows to it. You can get creative with how you want that water to go back into your system. You won’t get air in the system unless the pump has a chance to suck it in. Watch my other videos for ideas. I use the same pump to suck out the water in the system and return it to the reservoir, you just need to set up valves to open and shut different sections so air doesn’t get it. It’s a really big question with a lot of different answers!

      It depends on if you build your system to “drain to waste” in which you only use the nutrient water once and discard the left overs. Or in a continuous loop then you will get back everything the plants don’t use.
