The St. Louis MO plant closed in 1986. Possible code 71 Dark Carmine and code 12 White two-tone exterior paint. Yes that sticker was put in GM trucks for years. 1980 C20 with the VIN for the win: C for Chevrolet, C for 2WD conventional cab, M for 350 CID V8 with four barrel, 2 for 3/4 ton rated, 4 for cab and pickup box, A for 1980 model year, F for Flint, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. My friend just stopped by today and he gave me some NOS front bumper brackets for 1981-1991 Square Body trucks, including Blazer and Jimmy. These are good old trucks, worth fixing up. Only down side is the gage cluster and dash. Not as good as the later OBS. I have four late models. I show what I am doing to them on my channel. Hobby Lobby has a great selection of vinyl for the head liner. The vinyl holds up much better. @TheGeneralMotorsGeezer-we3dg

I would polish up the headlights with some Mother's Gold and it will get rid of the haze on them and make the truck look better. "Rebuild" not "build". GM already built it, you're rebuilding it.

This is a 1976, not a 1974 model year vehicle, with the VIN for the win: C for Chevrolet, C for 2WD conventional chassis, L for 350 CID V8 with four barrel, 1 for 1/2 ton rated, 4 for two door cab and pickup box, 6 for 1976 model year (4 would be 1974 model year), S for St. Louis, MO assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The St. Louis, MO plant closed in 1986. No SPID, wish you did, no tag, can't brag. Possible code 88 Tangier Orange exterior paint.

1994 called and they want their video quality back......this one was rough as far as video and audio quality goes.... They've got the VIN a bit wrong, but you barely got the VIN on the door label. We (barely) got the VIN, we win: 2GT for Canadian made GMC truck, E for 6,001 to 7,000 # GVWR with hydraulic brakes, K for 4WD conventional chassis, 1 for 1/2 ton rated, 9 for extended cab, K for 5.7L (350 CID) V8 with TBI, 8 is a check digit, R (not D as on the bed of the truck) for the 1994 model year, 1 for Oshawa, Ontario Canada assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Oshawa Ontario plant operated until 2019, closed for a time and then reopened in 2021 and still operates today. No tag, can't brag, no SPID, wish you did, but possible code 21 Radar Blue exterior paint.

Hard to read the SPID, looks very faded. No VIN, can't win. When you post the VIN or SPID, leave out the last six digits as they are just the production sequence and not relevant to decoding. Plus, it's your own truck, you don't need the VIN floating out there if you don't need it. LOL.

We got the VIN, we win: 2GD for Canadian Chevrolet truck incomplete, E for 6,001 to 7,000 # GWVR with hydraulic brakes, K 4WD conventional, 1 for 1/2 ton rated, 9 for extended cab, K for 5.7L (350 CID) V8 with TBI, 2 is a check digit, P for 1993 model year, 1 for Oshawa, Ontario Canada assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Oshawa plant operated until 2019 and then closed for a time and reopened in 2021. Tiara Coach is still in business in Elkhart, Indiana, but I believe it might be a different company as Mark III (of Ocala, FL also out of business) bought Tiara in 1997. This had some sort of upfit done after it was produced, likely a gooseneck or towing package or some sort of trim package. Possible code 57 Beige exterior paint.

Yup, first one is a 1990 with the VIN for the win: 2GC for Canadian made Chevrolet truck, G for 8,001 to 9,000 # Gross Vehicle Weight Rating with hydraulic brakes, K for 4WD conventional cab, 2 for 3/4 ton rated, 9 for extended cab, K for 5.7L (350 CID) V8 with TBI, 6 is a check digit, L for the 1990 model year, 1 for Oshawa, Ontario Canada assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Oshawa plant operated until 2019, closed for a time and then reopened in 2021. No SPID, wish you did, but possible code 67 Saddle and 68 Dark Saddle two-tone exterior paint. That's the buck tag (like a trim tag) on the 1992 vehicle. It only has partial information on it that's relevant to the paint, body and other body related options. ZY1 means solid paint (one tone/color), WOR means Work Truck "WT" (as shown on the tailgate), BZY is the bed liner, KC4 is for an oil cooler and LB4 denotes the 4.3L V6 engine. CK10903 denoted a Chevrolet (C) 4WD (K) 1/2 ton (1) and the rest is the cab and body style of the vehicle. 92 might mean 1992 model year, 96 is Ultra Silver exterior paint, among other codes. We (barely) got the VIN, we win: 1GC for US made Chevrolet truck, E for 6,001 to 7,000 # GVWR with hydraulic brakes, 1 for 1/2 ton rated, 4 for two door cab, Z for 4.3L V6 with TBI, 3 is a check digit, N for the 1992 model year, Z for Fort Wayne, IN assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Fort Wayne plant opened in 1986 and still operates today.

@@chevylandt.v I could have made it out if you focused on the door decal. Try to get that and the VIN from the dash. I know it's a USA assembled truck as the label says "Manufactured by GM Corporation", which denotes US assembly and I also think I see a "1" for the first digit of the VIN. I'm thinking a 1986 model (10th digit of "G"), made in St. Louis, MO (11th digit of "S") with a 305 V8 (8th digit of "H"), but that's a guess and about the best I can make out. You were too far away from the label and the sun made it hard to read. We know it can't be a 1981 or a 1982 as the revision date of the door decal is Thursday March 31, 1983. So it's a 1983-1986 more than likely.

1990 model year assuming the VIN written on the side is correct: With the VIN, we win: 1GC for US made Chevrolet truck, D for 5,001 to 6,000 # GVWR with hydraulic brakes, C for 2WD conventional cab, 1 for 1/2 ton rated, 4 for two door cab, Z (not 2) for 4.3L V6 with throttle body fuel injection, 4 is a check digit, L for the 1990 model year, E for Pontiac Truck and Bus, Pontiac, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Pontiac T&B facility closed around 2009. No SPID, wish you did, but possible code 21 Light Blue exterior paint. Some W/Ts didn't come with AC as they were made to be cheap entry level trucks. Probably material differences in the plastic and molds as to why some get sticky and some don't.
