As a Kid, I always liked the Prell logo on the bottle(late 70s/80s). The Jingles were good too(watch it pop up with prell, or something like that, prell puts the oooooo). And of course, the Ladies. I had a dream I wrote a Prell song when I was 5. It stuck with me for 16 yrs. I learned how to play the instruments & finally wrote the song/recorded it. Maybe one day, I'll post it.🤔

What a blast from the past. I remember I loved Elise the cow from Borden's. My mother would cut her out of the milk carton and I would wear Elsie and her flower on whatever I was wearing. Wow, I haven't thought of that in over 5 decades. I remember a lot of the other things also, but I adored Borden's because of Elsie the Cow.

I believe food was much healthier back then as opposed to today in 2024. Today's food has a lot of steroids, growth hormones, who knows what else in the food. Our family always had home cooked meals daily, always good & filling, we were never hungry. Fresh milk weekly from the milkman was also good. 😋

The greedy manufacturers saw a huge market in the millions of baby boomers. They used white flour, plenty of sugar and hydrogenated oil so that the fake foods would keep. This laid the foundation for a generation of sickness, just in time for big pharma to "cure" us with their poisons. These days some flours, crackers, etc. are being laced with ground up crickets bred in massive factory operations. Mankind's greediness takes on a whole new level.

Dried juice- Tang, and ramen noodles developed for space exploration, quick snack foods, burgers and fries. Mom made milkshakes with her mixer. And cut her own fries and made burgers. She was really tickled she could make them at home. We never had them until the Late 50's in our house. Boxed donuts and rolls, cookies. Never had those until the late 50's either. If mom didn't make it we didn't have it. She even made her iwn potato chips. But these foods were treats, not regular meals. 1960's saw more junk but it was not allowed in our house. A candy bar was a treat, served after a meal as dessert.

We never got these processed things, we didn’t have enough money. Apart from bread, butter and milk, most of our foods were fresh meat and produce. Christmas lunch was such a special and wonderful occasion because we got to eat things we couldn’t through the year. Adults got to eat steak, kids got lamb chops. Ironic now lamb is more expensive than beef in many places.
