    I was 16 in 1976,
I remember all of these commercials😊 I started high school, the 10th grade in the fall. Over the summer we went on a family trip to Niagara Falls Ontario and then to Toronto. I remember watching the Olympics, and seeing Nadia score a perfect 10!
Everything was red white and blue because of the country’s bicentennial.

Having somewhat absentee parents, I was basically raised by the television. So all these commercials are familiar to me, first seen when I was 5 years old. Commercials just hit different back in 1976. Everything didn't have to be so edgy, meta and mean-spirited.

It makes me chuckle to see the KoolAid commercial. I hadn't seen it in decades.
I wish I could find the 1976 commercial for Fords. It went, "New, new, new, new, your Ford dealer's got it for you...the 77s are something to see, they're what you want your car to be, yeah!"
I suspect that it's tied up in copyright drama.

These 1976 spots feature: Don Morrow speaks for Ford. The Kool-Aid man brings Kool-Aid to two children at a roller rink. Morris the Cat gets finicky during a daytime drama. Brother Dominic learns how to use a
Xerox. Stu Bergman speaks for Schlitz. Jack Nicklaus shills the
    American Express card.

As to the Bicentennial Coke ad: African Americans did, in fact did fight in the Revolutionary Army against Big Bad King George. I believe George Washington, who owned slaves, promised freedom to African Americans who did fight with him. Did he keep his promise? I do not know...
