@CodyZ that great to know, I'm currently waiting for my 2024 corolla to arrive. And was wondering how would exhaust mods would be like on a cvt
@@michaeldejesus7418 I don’t think the transmission would have any effect on the exhaust sound, it would just be due to how you have to drive a manual, like how you let off the gas during shifting. So there could be more pops from that aspect.
@CodyZ that's true. I was more thinking of how cvt rev high more than normal. I'm currently waiting for mine and wanting to get the exhaust done first thing. I was just co.cern more about the high rev of cvt

Best mods on my 21 Rolla SE 6MT. 2J Racing billet aluminum shifter cable & base bushings, a weighted billetworkz shift knob, and a Remark Cat Back (center tips) exhaust.

It was just an interior option. It was called moonstone, it looks a little different on the se since it’s not the leather seats on the xse

Nope it’s RSR lowering springs, the one inch drop not the two inch. no rubbing at all. And the ride quality is great, arguably better than stock. Thank you bro!!

It’s not a cover it was actually a replacement knob and I just got it on Amazon

Well we actually made it ourselves by chopping off the muffler and welding on new tips

MAN I HOPE YOU TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS COMMENT....... My uncle bought a 2020 Toyota Corolla SE when they first came out he wanted to get the Apex model in a 6-speed manual but unfortunately couldn't find one and ended up having to settle for a Auto se sedan BUT ....... Let me say this dude the intake is definitely definitely worth it yes you're not going to game crazy horsepower but you will definitely be able to hear it that is one of the first mods we did on his car... And the K&N short ram intake that you can get is probably one of the best ones on the market if you do not want to go with the full cold air that goes down in the bumper we didn't because it rains too much here in Seattle but.............. The K&N is the only short ram intake that has a really good quality heat shield that blocks It off from heat AND STILL USES THE STOCK AIR DUCT TO PULL IN ARE FROM THE FRONT GRILLE!!!!! It made his car sound so so so so so so so much more aggressive and we also wrapped the intake tube in the gold reflective heat tape to also keep intake air temperatures down And he ended up putting it on the dyno he actually did gain I believe it was 6 to 8 horsepower just from that mod Then next we did the cat back exhaust and you can still hear the intake clear as day it still has a deep throaty sound and now he has a header as well you can still hear the intake Honestly it was the best first mod and even if you already have exhaust and headers it's still worth it to do it it makes the car sound way more aggressive when it's coming towards you You really noticed it when you put it in sport mode and manual mode and run it through the 10 gears that you can ship through But yeah man nice car sorry for the long comment I was just trying to tell you it definitely is worth it to do the intake if you haven't already and K&N is probably the best short ram on I'm not sure if I understood you right but it sounds like you did a partial exhaust or did you do a full Cat-Back when you got all those pieces and welded it together??? If it's only partial like a axle back I highly suggest adding the rest of the piping man and doing a header and a full 2.5 in exhaust all the way through because that made that car breathes so much better it really complimented the intake and by doing those three modifications my uncle was able to put down 185 to 189 at the wheels
Thank you for the detailed comment, I did read it all!😂 I actually sold the car a little over a year ago but I have a 22, xse 6 speed hatch. And I got a cold air for it. I don’t notice any power gains and I put the intake on after I did the exhaust so it’s hard to say if it makes a difference in terms of sound. But I went with the injen intake and I love how it looks. I would not have paid the 300-400 price for what I got but I bought it used for 120 so I’m happy with it for sure.

See now this corolla hatchback sport should really become the baby version of the GR Corolla; less powerful N/A 2.5L engine, 6sp MT for ~$24,000 it would be perfect but Toyota scrapped the design for a CVT after the GR Corolla was released. Trying to find an XSE hatch corolla with a 6sp MT requires you to go back to 2021

I totally get it bro, since I started driving in 2016 I've had the following; 2007 Focus SE 2013 FRS (summer car) 2015 Focus Hatchback Titanium (winter car) 2016 Raliart 2019 Jetta Comfortline 2022 Bronco Sport Badlands (current car) The Bronco is paid off and I'm thinking about downsizing either to a Golf R or VB WRX. Love the wheels, the center exhaust is nice touch. I also hate the fake exhaust tips. Like what you did there. The front splitter bugs me since it mounts to the mesh and not to the actual chassis so it has no purpose other than cosmetics.

i wanna do somthing similar but my dream goal is to buy a gr corolla engine and do a engine swap and drive train. and probably transmission im sure the stock one wont handle anything past 300hp if even 300.
I don’t think it would be worth it at that point. The coolest thing you could do would be to do a swap to a rear wheel drive. Maybe a gr86 motor and trans

The wheels are avid av06’s and they are 18x8.5 with a +35mm offset. I have a new corolla hatch that’s manual I’m making videos on now btw!!

I’d say ur a ricer j not an awful one do more under the hood rather have a fast car that looks stock than a slow one that has been riced out like fr j save ur money so u can buy nice mods instead of waisting it in stolid small stuff

Me and my dad made the exhaust, the tips and the hangers were the only thing I bought since we had the pipe already but the tips and hangers I got from Amazon!!
For those installing a steering wheel on these Corollas; use a round barrel Bic pen to release the internal springs in the steering column. The butt end of the pen works far better than a flathead screwdriver. Make sure you have the steering perfectly straight and don't mess up the clock spring. They are a PITA to put back right and the dealer will charge you almost the price of the steering wheel to wind it back up to factory spec.
The exhaust set up is a total win. I like the quad center exit too. Under a hundred bucks and sound fantastic, well done!

Love your honesty, e.g., Ingen intake. The 2 1/4 inch exhaust pipes seems like it is louder than your old SE, right? Do you feel any performance gains from that?
Thank you so much I really appreciate that, yes, it is absolutely louder than the SE. I think that is partially because of the bigger pipe but I also think it’s because on the previous car, we cut the muffler off and went from just where the muffler was, whereas this time, we went all the way back to the pipe that houses the resonator and the 2 cats and went all the way from there. And yes I definitely think it is much faster… I think just from a numbers stand point the intake is supposed to add horsepower and so would the exhaust due to less back pressure but it’s hard to say since my current XSE is a manual and the SE was an auto so it felt faster naturally.
Luckily this is the last Corolla HB that came with MT . I always wanted one of these hatches ever since the 2016 Scion IM/ Corolla IM came out, I was about to get a fully loaded 2020 Corolla HB XSE MT, but waited. Fast forward to 2023 and I'm in a 2023 GR Corolla.

@@Limitlessautodesigns yeah, it's different in other states, California and Nevada are ones that markup. I really wanted this car so I had to pay a lil extra to get it. One Morizo in town sold for $80k which was crazy...

I have a 2019 got I brand new with 6kms on it it was my first brand new car I made my own air intake with a k&n filter and a 4 inch piece a plumbing pipe it has 111133kms on it now Mines a standard no wing though I do construction so my seats and interior are starting to look shitty but it adds caricature I have my back windows tinted so I can pull girls back there I don't think I'd put an exhaust cause even with the homemade k&n she's loud as heck and I'm always driving the balls off it best car I ever had I wish I would have waited an got the new 300hp one that's dope I wish there was more aftermarket stuff u could do to the engine of them could be worse I could be driving a Honda or a Hyundai or a kia
