I was digging through my cookbook for EyeSwoon Unplugged inspiration when it occurred to me-Cook Beautiful is embarking on its 7th anniversary this month! How is that possible?! Designing, shooting, and developing these recipes was truly one of the most incredible experiences of my life and career. This book is a culmination of everything I love-cooking, entertaining, and connecting around a table to share a meal. I poured so much of my heart and soul into these pages and it’s been nothing short of magic to see that my own creative journey has inspired you all to do the same. With this book, that voyage continues.

This really is a no-recipe recipe. Simply slice some super ripe Heirloom tomatoes as thin as you possibly can (borrowing the technique from Carpaccio). Is your homasote board super hard? I tried to follow this tutorial more or less but without something softer to go in front of the homasote I am finding it impossible to stick anything into it without predrilling or using my tiny hammer and good quality pins. I was disappointed to see how hard it was but had already purchased so resorting to mostly using washi tape and leaving a few pins/hooks and suck in place. I would definitely recommend using something softer for anyone who is going to try this. Maybe a foam board in front of the board would do the trick or even mdf would probably be easier to puncture. They still came out looking great though so thanks for the inspo.
